A new sewer pipe, installed by experts - Peace of mind at last! Thank you Garry and Westco Rooter. My sewer line has been giving warning signs for years and the inevitable replacement had to happen. The Walnut Acres home, built in 1951, with many old growth trees, had sprawling roots and broken clay pipes, and if left unrepaired, would have been a much bigger price tag down the road (literally)! I am so glad that I found Westco Rooter and had it done right. No short cuts, just honest work, expertly done and a very fair price, with permits and inspections. Garry and Ivan came out a couple of times to take a good look at the sewer line and make recommendations. Ultimately, a full replacement with new trenches and a steeper incline was necessary, plus a sleeve to the city sewer. I got another quote, but it just didn't fill me with confidence, if this was going to be done, it was going to be done right! Garry was very available for my multitude of emails and questions over a couple of weeks until I made my decision. On the day of the project, I was concerned about the weather with temperatures predicted of 106-109 degrees, and said I'm happy to postpone, but Garry and the crew showed up on time and spent the next few days out in that heat digging and laying pipe and providing me a worry free sewer system to last for years. On one evening, after the rest of the crew was gone, Garry stayed working late into the evening, because he wanted it to be perfect and decided he wanted the incline to be steeper, and so for hours more, he dug deeper. Such dedication! Once the project was complete, they replaced all the grass turf carefully and even raked the main flower bed, to where it looked better than when they arrived. Afterwards, the sleeve to the city sewer was robotically trimmed and signed off on by the city inspector. Garry stopped by a few days later and mentioned, he didn't feel one section looked good enough as it was a little low where the soil was, and so he and Ivan came back with two huge bags of soil and repacked the grass to make it perfect. They also replaced a sprinkler head that had become dislodged during the project. The entire project was handled with professionalism, kindness and efficiency. Thank you Garry, Ivan and the whole amazing team - Edwin, Leo & Danny! This is one of those dreaded projects that many homeowners in the Valley are having to do. During the three day weekend over Memorial Day, our sewer line backed up out of an exterior clean out. Called Westco Rooter Tuesday at 8 am and Gary arrived within a hour! He ran a clean out snake down the clean out over 100 feet to the City's sewer line under our street, then ran a camera through the cleaned out line as I watched. In fact, we originally hired him to do a pipe burst for our aging cracked sewer line almost 3 years ago. At the time, he recommended also lining the sewer line that runs under city property (which is unfortunately still the homeowner's responsibility), to avoid potentially having to spend $30,000 upwards in repairs if the sewer line cracks further becoming un-lineable. We waited 2 years to do it, and now have peace of mind. We also installed a sub meter so DWP can separate the "outside" water and stop charging us a sewer service charge for water not using the sewer. I smelled gas. I called Garry who was recommended to me from my daughter. He came right out. He asked me to contact aaa pinpoint to establish where the leak was because we could smell in the garage. Pinpoint found the leak which was not in the house but below ground. Garry came right out with a another fellow, Leo. They spent hours digging, could the exact place. We had a slow drain in the kitchen that became even slower due to a cabling attempt made by another plumber, but Garry showed up and did a free camera inspection and recommended a hydrojet. He was very meticulous and careful throughout the whole process, taking care not to further damage the fractures in the pipe found during the camera inspection. After the clog was removed, he took the time to record the camera inspection again, stopping at each potential problem area in the pipe and helping me determine its relative location inside my house so that I could understand what repair options might be available for each in the future. He later shared a video of the camera inspection with me by text so I could also have it for my records. Garry was speedy and detailed in his cleanup and was respectful each time he stepped foot inside our house by asking for permission, wearing a mask, and wearing shoe covers.
