I used this company since the owner, Danny gave me a great deal. My main pipe broke in the front yard, and he replaced it with copper pipes since the old pipes were all worn out since the house was built in the 1950s. I started noticing a pool of water and thought it was just from the sprinklers, but it kept getting worse every day until it completely broke and started flooding in the driveway. Danny came right away to inspect and was able to schedule me rt away. Danny and his crew came early in the morning and started working and finished the job before the day was over. They put the grass back on and cleaned up afterward. He showed me all the work that they did before they put the soil and grass back on. Had a clog in main line to city sewer pipe. Called Danny Ortiz on Sunday night but he couldn't make it until Monday morning. He arrived at 8:30 am and took care of snaking the clogged line. Danny was a life saver! I would highly recommend him. The plumbing at my house in Granada Hills was backed up and he was able to come out within a couple hours. There turned out to be multiple issues and he was able to return the next day and repair something additional. He cleared the sewer line, snaked multiple drains, and replaced the garbage disposal. He also did plumbing work (updated pipes and fixtures for a shower, installed a new toilet) for a small bath remodel I did a couple months ago. We recently had the pleasure of working with Luis from Save the Day Plumbing, and he and his crew were exceptional! At our new house, they tackled a major job by doing a spot repair at our property line. They excavated 4-5 feet of our sewage line to remove a huge root intrusion in the old clay pipes. Luis and his team installed a new section of ABS plastic pipe with strong couplings. They also replaced an old section of cast iron with new ABS and ensured the proper slope was in place. They backfilled both areas, and compacted the dirt perfectly What really impressed us was how they seamlessly laid new cement where they had to break up our walkway to access the pipes and left the place spotless, hauling away all the excess materials. Luis is the best--so knowledgeable and transparent throughout the entire process. He walked my wife and me through every step with care and thorough explanations. We love these guys. Our first call was when I cracked an outside pipe trying get our hose off the spigot (husband had Hulked out on it when he first attached it). They were available immediately and did great work. Second call was when our water heater had started leaking and the pilot wouldn't light. Replaced hot & cold stems and seats It was very easy to contact Danny as he was able to be contacted via text and/or call. If you are a busy person and can not be on the phone at all times, it is easier to send texts as he will usually get back to you within the next half hour or so. Last week Danny (and his helper Jose) removed & installed 2 new toilets for me in my condo. One of the toilets I ordered from Lowes & Danny picked it up for me at the store. However, hauling away the old toilets was not mentioned in the up-front pricing so I was caught off guard that there is a haul-away charge of $25/toilet that I hadn't planned in my budget. My water heater broke and after a no-show from another company on Yelp I had to call a 24-hour repair service to help me shut off the water to the water heater as it was leaking all day. When the other company strung me along and kept saying they were on their way and then didn't show up and stopped responding, it was close to 11pm and I still had water leaking. I went back on Yelp and found Danny and Save the Day Plumbing. I talked to him for several minutes about what was happening. He gave me a quote for the late night appointment and I agreed. He said he'd be there in 20 mins and he was. He helped me turn off the water and took a look at my WH and gave me an estimate for the repair. As I already made an appointment with another company to give an estimate the next day I told him I would let him know. After getting some estimates, along with a second company that pulled a no-show even though they confirmed an appointment, I decided to give Danny and Save the Day my business. I made arrangements for him to come replace the water heater between 12-2 and guess what?! He actually showed up and on time, unlike the two other services on Yelp (see my other reviews). He was very friendly, quick and efficient. He installed the new heater, brought everything up to code and all within the time frame he had said. Their name is definitely very warranted! Needed to fix a clogged toilet, that all traditional home remedies did not fix (plunging, vinegar, hot water, baking soda, or whatever else google tells you). They were available same day, very quick, AND VERY AFFORDABLE. I contacted at least 6 different companies, and they were significantly less expensive - for the same exact service! They did not try to nickel and dime me, find something else wrong to try to fix for more money, or anything else!
