This is an updated review for Rick, who installed a Navien tankless water heater for us in 2+ years ago. It's working fine but now have condensation dripping from exhaust vent that was improperly installed (confirmed by a few different plumbers this week), drip down onto the tankless heater. The intake vent was set up as if the unit was installed outdoors (even though ours was in the basement utility closet) - it's a safety hazard that I wish he would have noted. To be fair, Rick did say it was his first time working with a complex Navien tankless back then, but still I would expect solid plumbing connections regardless. Also, the 2 toilets he had installed for us 2 years ago were still perfect. I just wished he had taken more care with the tankless water heater install. read more

***** This is the company I chose to do the job for me!!!! ****** They don't advertise, work for some of the big hollywood studios, and they were referred by my neighbor. If you are scrolling and looking for a reason to get this company out to do your plumbing work, use this review as one of your reasons to have them come out and help you!!! I'm exhausted from doing the research and meeting people, but I feel like I've learned a lot by doing so, and ended up make the best decision. 8 companies inspected, and this is the company that sold me on price, service, and time requirements. When Ricky came out to meet in person he was relaxed, polite, and honest. I told him what the problem was and he said, $1,500, done in four hours. I told him that many of the bids had said it was an all day job, one company even calling it a twelve hour job! Ricky shook his head and said, "I bet they told you it would cost at least $3,000.", in which I replied, "almost all of them!" He said that plumbing isn't that difficult and should cost that much or take that long. They showed up the next morning and were done in 2.5 hours. They even charged me a hundred dollars less than the deal as they didn't need to replace everything they were expecting. BAM!!! How often does that happen? If you want the long drawn out version, keep reading. But perhaps you should take the time to read it after you've reached out to Ricky and his team on yelp, and are waiting for a response! Go On!!! Make the call, it won't hurt, cost you anything for an estimate, and you'll get to meet a really great guy! The Long Story... The problem started when I had a clogged toilet upstairs and plunged it. Problem solved upstairs, but now the downstairs toilet was backed up. Plunged, plunged, and plunged, until my cheap do it myself personality gave in and started looking for help. Had a company come over and try to snake out the toilet which reduced the level of the water in the clog, slightly, but was told by the company that they needed to replace the backflow valve and then deal with the roots in the system further down the pipes. They couldn't give me an estimate for the additional work after the backflow valve, but the price to do step one was $3K. So assume close to $4K to get it all done. It was also going to be twelve hours of work. TWELVE HOURS! Believing that the word "integrity", on their vans was real, I reluctantly told them I'd do the $3k for the first step, as it was later in the day, and I felt pressured to get this done or my house would be overflowing. After saying goodbye, I decided to try to see what information or pricing I could get from other Yelp plumbers. I got a few estimates, sight unseen, and felt they were so low, that I needed to cancel this company and have other people come out to see what an in person estimate looked like. I paid $206 to the company who had tried to snake out the toilet and began looking at the reviews of other plumbers on Yelp. I met a good amount of people who came out to inspect and give an estimate, and three people really made me feel they were there to help me with a problem, rather than get a job. Ricky and his team came over and started digging out the front yard area, where they had located the flowback valve. Ray and Juan were digging in minutes and had found the cause of the mainline clog... Roots!! HOME ASSOCIATION TREE ROOTS, (will be dealing with that on Monday!). It turned out that the flowback valve was good and all the pipes after the valve were in good shape, out to the city's sewer line. Some laughs, more digging, a whale of a root clog, and replacing the clean out, and adding sleeves to get both the clean out and backflow valve more convenient to get to in the future, all done with the sod back in place in 2.5 hours. Not sure how the other 9.5 hours were going to be needed, that other companies had told me was required. I got the bill, and it was $100 less than what we agreed on. Ricky told me that he didn't need all the parts he expected, so the price was lowered. Why am I writing this? When we are in desperate need of help and a fair deal and a friendly, understanding professional, we'll do almost anything to rectify the problem. That's when we need these guys.... That's why they sometimes take advantage of us when we are in these weak moments of need. So when a company / team comes along and does what they promised, does it for far far less than what many of the others tell you it needs to be, and then honors the commitment, it needs to be shared. After it's all done, these small companies need to have people share and continue the good will to the next needy person, who is also looking for an honest hand with a fair price to do it. To add to this story... The evening that this was resolved, my car's tire pressure sensors all went out, and the next afternoon, the house A/C unit went down! Really! I bought my toilet flush valve from HD, ask them to replace , they still need to charge $250, I fixed it one year ago with others people just for 85 with his own value. Ricky is the absolute best! Fast, reliable, honest...exactly what we all hope to find in a plumbing professional. I had a problem with the touchless kitchen faucet and thought I had a leak. Ricky stopped by "real quick" in between jobs and was able to tell me I had no leak, showed me how the water was coming in, and was able to bypass the electrical component of the touch less faucet so now I have a working kitchen sink. We recently had a back up situation in our front bathroom and they came out repeatedly the day we called to clear the line for us. The last time we decided to replace the line from the bathroom to the front clean out since the problem had to be there. They did a full inspection and gave us the price for the job at 1,350.00. We were amazed at the price for the job as there was alot to do to fix it. They did the entire job on that same day in one day! The culprit was tree roots in this section of clay pipe that they replaced.They added another cleanout outside and fully cleaned up the yard! We are very happy customers! I had a clogged kitchen sink that after snaking myself would not go down. My wife really need it cleared as it was preventing her from using dish washer. I have a snake that attaches to a drill so not really the most ideal tool when you have a stubborn clog as I had so yelped "plumbers" and I reached out to Ricky with Eco friendly and he gave me a time frame of 2 hours but after about an hour he called and said he could be there earlier if ok with me. He came with a partner and they cleared it within an hour and they were done. I had them change a spigot in back yard since they were there and he promptly changed out. The service was good they were respectful of my stuff not just throwing around. The best part of this was since I had this going on and I had guys working on my pool someone left gate open and my sons dog somehow got out and they helped me look for her around the neighborhood. I did find her Thank God! I was glad I did not have to explain to my son or wife that I had lost a family member. So for that, and good attitude and friendly service as well as the communication and competitive pricing I give them 5 stars and will use again in future. This is one great company. I spoke to David several times on the phone prior to his coming out to survey the job. We were changing a bathroom into a laundry room and this required a lot of work. David came by and spent a lot of time, carefully looking at every option for running the gas and water lines. He gave me what I thought was a very reasonable price for doing the work. Had my hot water heater stop working and sent out messages to 5 plumbing companies, this company was fast to respond and get there guys out but my review is based off The diagnosis they called the manufacturer and told me that the unit I had did not have any thermal coupler and the reason my hot water heater was not working was because it was not allowing the pilot to stay lit. And they would have to order the part which would take three days for $600 well I'm a pretty handy guy and figured I was not going to have them repair the part for 600 they give me another option of replacing the hot water heater for $1200 so I paid their $65 diagnostic fee and proceeded to investigate it myself I called my stepdad who is a plumbing contractor out of town he told me there is a thermocoupler otherwise known as a pilot generator and lo and behold I looked up repair parts at Lowe's where the hot water heater was purchased and they sell rebuild kits for $45. I am a business owner myself and my guys and me know that we will go beyond the call of duty to fix somebody's issue. Not impressed with the service.
