Not to big on leaving reviews but felt I had to. I called to have my gas dryer hooked up in my new home and was told no problem and the person came the next day and performed what I thought was the job he was paid 185 dollars to do. A day later I went to do laundry and turned my dryer on and noticed a strong smell after a couple of minutes. The plumber hooked the gas line and didn't connect the vent hose. I called the company and was to some one will call me right back and it never and send someone over and it never happened. I called again a day later and was told the system is down they will call me right back. Never happened. I called back and a women promised me she will handle it. The plumber calls me and tells me the don't connect hoses. The initial call I explained everything needs to be connected and why would you not tell me that you did not connect the vent hose when you told me everything is ready. The guy seemed new and I think he forgot and instead of making a new customer whole they chose to handle it this way. That could have been a very dangerous situation if I didn't catch it as quickly as I did. Can't believe they have chosen not to send someone over to correct what they caused. read more

Called to get hydrojet done they came without hydrojet and wanted me to book another appointment and be without water till they could fit me in and on top of it tried to charge me over 300 dollars more than the going rate for the hydrojet. I asked them to snake the line in the meanwhile and they ended up only snaking the shower which was not even the issue to begin with since our main line was backed up. I did not know this until after getting emailed paperwork since I was not home at the time and had a relative helping me. I now have to call another company after being ripped off to take care of the issue. read more

BEWARE!! We had a minor leak in our upstairs tub of a rental unit we own. I called Ninja Plumbing and set an appoint for later that afternoon. My brother drove 45 minutes out to the unit to meet the plumber. Upon arrival the plumber informed him the cost was $400 for the service call. WOW!!! Couldn't believe they didn't tell me that over the phone when setting the appointment. I certainly would have continued calling other plumbers. I never would have agreed to that. That is INSANE!!!! Usually service calls cost around $140-$170 for plumbing. Turns out the problem was a loose screw. Can you imagine $400 to tighten a screw. read more

Setting up the appointment was easy. They were 20 minutes late, but they were coming from another job. Efren was helpful and transparent. I had my pressure regulator valve replaced a couple of years ago and now we had a whistling noise when the water was on. He suggested a new regulator and and anti water hammer after his inspection. Went out to get the parts and came back an installed the regulator first and it fixed the problem. He said he would return the water rester and price matched the original price of the faulty regulator from the previous plumber by showing him the invoice too. I will use them again for sure. I was having a big landscaping project at my home when we discovered a pipe drain that was totally blocked with palm tree roots. I called a few plumbing companies as I needed the pipe snaked out ASAP as not to hold up the project. Ninja was the only company that said they could get someone over there within a few hours and they came right on time. Unfortunately they said it was going to be a huge job but gave us another suggestion that the landscapers could do and it worked perfectly. Worst of all somehow reversed lines and reduced pressure in some rooms and increased pressure in others. Repaired a leak and my whole system got screwed. The first time I called, they took care of my problem just fine. A little expensive, but not crazy. The second time I called, evidently there was new management, so the person who scheduled my appointment didn't tell me that I was no longer in their smaller service area. So, on the day the plumber was supposed to come, after they had already called me once to tell me he'd be a little late (I didn't mind), during the new span of time he was supposed to arrive, they called to tell me that they wouldn't be coming out. If they had called earlier in the day (or two days ago) I could have at least tried a different plumber. I am frustrated with this late cancellation. read more

I had a hot water tank emergency this past weekend. After searching online and speaking to a few people Ninja was the only service that was available on Saturday, the day of my emergency. Shortly after my call Al showed up ready to asses the situation. We quickly deduced that my 18 year old hot water tank had finally called it quits. From that point Al showed me the product choices suitable for my home. I decided on a tankless upgrade. Being around 5pm on Saturday, Al went above and beyond to get the unit we discussed. Once he had the unit he came back and spent the rest of his Saturday evening installing my new tankless water heater. This is an update to my previous review. This is the second time we needed an emergency plumber and in both occasion, Ninja plumber came through. This time,Michelle worked with us on the last minute scheduling and Sung was kind enough to stop by our house on his day off because he felt bad that we would not have hot water. Michelle has the bubbliest personality and her caring demeanor came through during the phone call. She worked to find us an available plumber and kept me posted. Our hot water heater needed to be replaced. On the day of the job, Sung was punctual and I received a phone call letting me know he was on his way. He left our side yard free of trash and was not presumptuous with entering our home until he was invited. He explained the new water heater unit to us and promised to return tomorrow to make sure everything is working well. We are very happy! read more

What a difference 3 years makes with this company! Had a leak from sweated hose bib that needed to be replaced with a screw-in hose bib in the event it needed to be replaced in the future. Pricetag of $525.00! And they had to come out again shortly thereafter to replace the installed defective hosebib that also leaked. If you tighten the handles in order to turn off the water so that it doesnt leak, they blame the reason it no longer works is because the customer tightened it too much. Also, you would have thought that the second time coming over due to same problem, they would have an extra hose bib with them (they didnt the first time either). Needless to say both times I called, I waited 2 hours after diagnosis for them to leave and buy the parts. The owner of the company pretends hes only the dispatcher. This job was way too expensive and their planning sucks and if the owner/business manager lies to you over something trivial, their worker bees typically follow suit in a culture of these top down businesses, wouldnt you agree? I had to give them 1 star in order to post this. It irks me to even give them that. read more

The WORST plumber I ever encountered. Contacted them for our clogged toilet, in the beginning mishel was kind to assist us promising "next day plumber" but turns out to be a week after when the clogging worsened to flooding. After work, said its a bigger job for $1800. Charged me $175 and promised to be included for the final job. After another week FULL OF ORDEALS and HEADACHE arranging the job, telling us to purchase the $100 for the yelp voucher. Apparently after more than 2 weeks and flooding all over the house wood floor, the owner Mor wont take part of the job claiming its his manager Ariel responsibility to take care. Then after a long ordeal, after more than a week trying to get in touch w Ariel, found out he have problems with the original quote given to us. He gave me plenty of unprofessional excuses such as: "his plumber not authorized to give quote" and "we actually do not cover your area" and "oh the 15% first time customer can not be combined with the yelp voucher" and "oh we can not honor the $175 that had been charged because we are making money that way. We have gone way too far to your house and spend too much hours there" SERIOUSLY? Im out of country for work, ive spent more than 2 weeks trusting the wrong plumber company. I was not told at all from beginning that they did not cover our area. What kind of excuses are those? Needed them to turn off a water valve in my kitchen and hook up a new dish washer. Seemed like something within a plumber's wheelhouse. Nope, couldn't do it and left me hanging after I had requested this service when I called for the appt. Adding insult to injury, I waited all day for this lack of service. It was the first day of the new year and woke up to a clogged bathtub and kitchen sink. Food and sink water was coming through the bathtub drain and not going down. Luckily, Peter came through and unclogged the main drain line - a lifesaver on New Year's Day. We had a burst pipe in our crawl space and had to shut off all water so getting a plumber to quickly fix our piping was crucial. Jason and Joe were able to quickly find the source of the problem and gave me a fair and honest assessment and pricing. When they discovered that the city main valve couldn't be shut off they helped me contact the city to get someone to open up the valve, it was late in the afternoon at this point so I figured the job would have to wait till tomorrow but Jason and Joe were able to come back and finish the job after hours saving us from having to stay at a hotel for the night:) I would definitely recommend Ninja plumbers to anyone. I had a great experience with this business years ago but after the last two experiences, I would recommend people stay away. I had a technician who tried to charge me $400 to replace some valves for installation of a new washer but after some negotiation and "a call to his supervisor" we got it down to I think $240, which I still think is high for the 20 minutes of work but hey, I needed to get it done. The next service request I had a problem that turned out to be my sprinkler valve, much less serious than expected. They also wanted to charge me $400 and when I tried to negotiate he said it wasn't possible. He admitted that previous technicians were shady and they were now under new management. Again, I wanted to get the problem resolved and didn't want to lose the service fee they charge for the visit so I said ok. I did manage to find a Yelp coupon that saved me I think $100 but it still felt expensive. I watched as the technician popped in a tiny plastic replacement part in a few minutes. Hmm, it feels like I was overcharged considering the amount of work and what I was billed for past services. As I said, this business was really great in the past but has gone downhill in the last couple of years so I won't be using or recommending them anymore. read more

I called to make an appointment to get my water tank flushed as I was told by my neighbors that it needed to be cleaned out every once in a while. I utilized the Groupon coupon and my neighbor was also going to get hers flushed out the same day in hopes of a discount as I heard they've done previously, but none was offered. No biggie though, it wasn't expected but would've been nice. Where to start... The plumber went to my neighbor's unit first, but never finished because he broke the level to open her water heater. He told her that it wasn't his fault, and it had been on the verge of breaking before he even touched it. Well that was the end of that...He basically left her with a broken handle and said he would come back another day to fix it, at a high cost. After he made his way to my water heater (on the 3rd floor) he talked way too much to explain everything. And as he was "flushing" it out he said he would be out in his car until it finished ~1 hour later. Which I thought was ok because in his defense, it was really hot upstairs, lovely SoCal summer. Way over an hour later, he knocks and says the pump should be done now. He shows me what his pump cleaned out...it was like two specks of little black dots. Prior to this, while he was setting everything up, he was explaining that it's a long process to clean everything out and that there would be a lot of sediment cleaned out. After he cleaned up he proceeded to go to every one of my sinks in the unit and "cleaned out" the filters and said a normal plumber would charge a lot to make sure everything was working. Just everything about this day made me uncomfortable that I was paying him $300 to do "all this work" which honestly did not seem like it was worth $300 at all. TL;DR I was told by another plumber that he didn't do anything at all because my water heater isn't the kind that needs cleaning out like that. If this company were truly honest, he would've told me that and I would've paid him the appt fee and let him be on his merry way. $300 for a strange man to come into my home and do nothing. read more

The woman I spoke with on the phone (Sonia / Sonya)* was an absolute pleasure to deal with. But that's not the only reason I'm writing this review. The other reason is that this company clearly has it's sh*t together, & were willing to get a truck out to me within a few hours. We had an emergency situation in our new hair salon, and Peter can to our rescue! He arrived to find our floor drain in the bathroom backing up after flushing the toilet. He immediately got busy to discover the problem and discovered the main pipe to our unit was clogged and proceeded to clear it. (He was so positive even when he got doused with really dirt liquid when the pipe emptied all over his back) He recommended that the main pipe be hydro jetted to remove all the gunk and to prevent it from happening again, but for the moment it was clear. Peter left. A bit later we flushed the toilet and it back up on the floor again. Immediately phoned Peter and he came right back. He arranged to secure the Hydro jet machine for the next morning and we are all good now! read more

They can't keep appointments, they promise time slots and then later string along customers that the technicians is just late but 5 hours later they are a no show. A complete disregard for other peoples time. Avoid at all cost, the customer service representative was completely useless. I don't ever do Yelp reviews but I downloaded the app to do this one because they deserve it. We've had an plumbing issue at our condo for the better part of the 13 years we've lived here. Our HOA has ranged from completely useless to temporarily helpful but ultimately short sighted. When they and their plumber finally came up with the solution that would've ended the problem once and for all, they barely explained what it was but their plumber wanted to charge us about $15,000. Needless to say, we went for a second opinion. Ninja came from a random Google search. Efron told us exactly what the problem was, showed us the problem via camera and gave us long and short term options to address the issue. Tired of dealing with this specific issue, we chose the long term solution, which ended up costing us about 1/4th of what our HOA's plumber quoted us. Months have passed and we have not had a single occurrence, when before, it was pretty much happening about twice a month. Hats off to Ninja Plumbing for doing their job honestly, patiently, reasonably and honorably. They saved us money, time and more years of frustration on the first try.
