SL Rooter and Repairs - Winnetka - Plumbing Near Me

Wow...This company was a godsend after getting ripped off by my home warranty company and plummer they was sent (who did not fix issue) I had the good luck to give SL Rooter and Repairs a call. The person who answered my call (Stephanie) was warm/friendly and asked all the questions needed to identify the issue. I was quoted a fair price. Following day plummer (Reuben) comes and could not be more knowledgeable about the issues I was having with my plumbing. He was able to repair/remedy issue in under 30 minutes...Without a doubt these guys will be my go to should I ever have any plumbing issues in the future...Highly recommended!! read more

Harry came out and gave me a fair quote on a clean out install. When he found out I had 2 breaks in the main service line that runs from the house to the street, he didn't pressure me to hurry and make a decision. He walked me through the issue, what my choices were, and gave me the necessary information to make a sound decision. Him and his team worked fast, clean, and got the job done with little interruption to my homes plumbing needs. Thanks Harry. You guys rock. read more

Amazing service. Our garbage disposal was leaking and needed to be replaced. I called and Ruben came out the same day. He was very friendly and professional and was in and out in 30 min. He wore booties inside our home before I even asked, covered the work area and cleaned everything up when he was done. Pricing was much more reasonable than other plumbing services I contacted. Front desk person, Stephanie, was also very helpful and responded quickly to all my questions. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again! Thank you! read more

So initially I called them back in 2020 and fixed up one of my toilets, then I called them on Thursday of January 4 2023 I needed them to fix the same toilet they worked on 2020. Stefani answer really friendly and told be as soon as possible she will return my call and send someone to my house but til today as of January 11 I haven't received a phone call back from her , i do not recommend this plumbing company anymore, they just tell you they are helping , but they lied. How rude Stefany. There are better plumbing companies out there, at least they are honest. So do not call these people and save your time. They don't deserve no stars. read more

They cleared a clog a previous plumbing company couldn't clear!!! I've used them three times for various reasons...a pipe outside was about to burst, a leak in the bathroom, and clogged kitchen and laundry room sinks. They fixed everything first time around without issue. In fact, when it came to the clog, a previous plumbing company attempted to clear it a long time ago and couldn't but SL Rooter got it! Pricing is very fair. Everyone is kind, helpful, timely, and also respectful of my property. For example, the plumber today showed up with shoe covers. Loved that! The lady that runs the office is very nice and polite, (scheduling is a breeze). Just a very good family owned business all around. read more

If you're looking for a plumber, you've found them right here. Just call SL Rooter and Repair right now. The entire team is top notch, with Stefany handling the phones, and Ruben and Junior who are the best! The entire team is incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. I just moved into a new house and ran into plumbing issues within the first week (old pipes). Ruben and Junior came out within an hour (on a Sunday nonetheless) and spent 3-4 hours working out the issues with both of my toilets and getting everything back to normal again. They were very respectful (masks and booties on their shoes) and I learned a lot just in conversations with them. They actually ended up helping me out with a few other issues around the house as well, not even plumbing related, proving to me that they genuinely are here to help. I ended up using them again on a few other occasions as well In all my interactions with them, not once did I feel like I was being sold something I was uncomfortable with, or did I ever feel they were minimizing a problem - they were very upfront with me and I appreciate the advice and honesty from them! They will definitely be my plumbing team of choice and I'll be making sure to refer them to all of my friends. Thank you SL Rooter and Repair!!! read more

The best thing about this company is communication. Stefany, who runs the office, calls you right back no matter what time of day. Their work was top notch, they were pleasant to work with and was always on time. They do not, however, itemize costs. That's not how they work so if you need an itemized report for the work you need to go somewhere else. But like I said, the group was great to work with, did quality plumbing and, most importantly, Stefany gives you 100% of her attention and goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. read more

I'm giving SL Rooter five stars for the following reasons. First, we had an issue where the drains were backing up late on a Saturday night. Rubin showed up inside an hour and had us up and running in no time. Then showed me the bigger issue by running his camera down the clean out some 65ft to where roots penetrated drain pipe. Here's where you go, oh crap (no pun intended) what's the cost of that? Rubin senior explained the process, tools they use and showed me a video. There was no digging up the yard or cutting up driveway and when done, you could hardly tell they had just ran 45 feet of pipe from the street to the house. Very pleased with the work, timing, professionalism and cost. I would highly recommend SL Rooter and Repair for any plumbing needs you may have. And finally, Stephany the voice of SL Rooter, never misses a call no matter what time your calling. Thanks guys :) read more

Ruben is great. Family owned business. I've had issues with my sewer line for 20 years. I've had plenty of people out over the years, but Ruben was the most thorough at giving me a complete analysis of my sewer situation. I now understand why the issue continues. The home is 60 years old and my sewer line set up is a bit of a head scratcher. Ruben cleared the pipe for now and offered suggestions for upgrading my situation in the future. I'm extremely satisfied with this transaction. read more

Great service and fair pricing. Last minute call to SL Rooter and they fit me in on the same day. The technician Ruben was very professional and very conscious of keeping the space clean and not disturbing items in the area where he was doing the work. By far the most pleasant experience I have had with a plumbing company and I will definitely recommend them to friends and family. Before leaving, Ruben made sure the area was clean, the repair was functioning to my satisfaction, and that all my questions were answered. I had an emergency this morning, where my kitchen faucet would not turn off. I had to shut the water down on throughout the house, on a Sunday morning. I called SL Rooter and the lovely woman who spoke with me arranged for Rueben Jr. to come to my home within a half hour. Rueben Jr. was so professional and nice. Explained everything to me and installed a new kitchen faucet with old pipes and installed new pipes. They are very reasonably priced and I will definitely call on SL Rooter, for future plumbing services. It's so hard to come by honest and reasonably priced services these days. The SNL family is wonderful. Please call them first. I called two other plumbers prior to them. One did not return my call (Charlie's Plumbing) and the other plumber (Hotline Plumbing) was just "too busy". So glad to have this team as my go to. SL Rooter are the very best! Wendy B. read more

Ruben Jr. is the most efficient, courteous, responsible and reliable plumbers we have ever used. Ruben Jr. and his team come on time, he plans the work and knows exactly where to start and where to go. They work very clean and at the end of the four full day job, they cleaned all the work areas. They replaced the kitchen drain, rerouting the pipes all the way to the city sewer line. To our surprise, Jr. called us the next day to check if everything is good and we are happy with his work. We highly recommend SL Rooter for all your plumbing needs. We would give them 10 stars if it were available! read more

While selling our house our sewer line was inspected and it was discovered that it was clogged with large roots (meaning the line had openings), so large that they could not be hydro jetted away. It was much more complicated than that. We were quoted a price two thousand dollars more than Ruben. So obviously we went with SL Rooter. Ruben got rid of the roots, inserted a sleeve into the damaged sewer line and solved the problem perfectly. He also left our yard exactly as he found it before the massive digging began. Everything was left neat and clean. read more
