We had a emergency water heater issue and decided to call a few companies for a quote to fix the leak or drip from the water heater. American plumbing Method sent out a tech whom was really nice and attentive and extremely helpful, they said I would need a new water heater, however the quote and estimate came from his back office boss, the back office called me and started selling me on waterless water heater and upgrades, when I said I just need a quote for a replacement of my water heater he emailed me a quote for $3410.28 which is absolutely an absorbent amount for a simple replacement. I called a few other companies and was able to get the replacement and all parts done for under $1500.00 for a bigger and better brand of a water heater. Every quote i got was under 2000.00 and this company was trying to gouge the price because I was in a bind and it had to be fixed. The only reason they got a two star is solely because the technician was very nice and very helpful!! read more

I respectfully asked if you could come a month or two later if you were so busy at the current time, and you aggressively responded that you will not ever have time to help us. You had time to diagnose and charge $155, but what help is that to us!?! We had to hire another plumber, who thank God was competent, respectful, and professional, to again diagnose the problem but guess what!?.. he fixed it. What a concept. Diagnose and fix.. He didn't steal our money and refuse to fix the issue. We didn't need a "report" from you. Highly recommend. We have been using their services for a variety of plumbing issues. Recently, we had to have the drain in a bathtub n a slab foundation fixed. The pipe was partially covered with cement. Mike and his coworker had to crawl into a very tight space under our heating system and hammer out the cement covering the pipe. Called this co. in a hurry after hastily going through the web to find a plumber nearby asap. VERY GLAD I did. So I installed a kitchen sink just fine and connected the hot water but couldn't connect the cold water due to size discrepancy. After going to H. Depot and finding the connecting valve, I tried to get the old one off ultimately to no avail. After 20 minutes I realized the valve was glued to the cold water pipe. So after shutting off the main water to the house, I decided to cut off the old valve and put on the new one. As a Burbank homeowner there is always "something". The current "something" is thought I had smelled gas near my water heater, but wasn't sure, and ignored it - not very smart, especially since it is near the barbecue (bet you are glad you aren't my neighbor). Subsequently my gas bill went from $85 to $194, and the gas company came out for a meter check. I was home and mentioned the water heater. After a quick look the gas company turned off the water heater, and capped the gas line. Yesterday, my parents needed to get a plumber out to snake out a main that every few months gets clogged with tree roots. In October 2019 our guest bathroom toilet was not flushing and started flooding non-stop. I didn't have a plumber on call, so I looked on Yelp for plumbers based on reviews, recommendations etc. and found American Plumbing Method. Michael came out the following day and spent time fixing it. He tried different things to see what the problem was. As he explored further to determine the issue it cost more each time it was escalated. Finally, he determined that our child's wipes had clogged up the pipes. Michael removed the toilet, unclogged everything, added a new flange, and put everything back. It cost a lot but he fixed it. Everything seemed to be fine. A few weeks later in November the sink in the same bathroom started leaking and we had Michael come out again. He repaired it and every was working. Fast forward to November 2020 and underneath that bathroom in our garage, we had a small leak in the pipes. We had to replace the entire drainage pipe. As it wasn't an emergency, we used another plumber recommended by someone we trust instead of using Yelp to find someone. The plumber showed me that the flange from the guest bathroom that we had fixed by American Plumbing Method was leaking where it was connected to that drainage pipe. I was incredulous. The new plumber was nice and agreed to charge us a little less than American Plumbing Method had charged us to replace the flange. I texted Michael my disappointment and asked about the warranty on the parts and his work He never replied back. Sorry but I cannot recommend American Plumbing Method. I know every review here is 5-star but we didn't have the same satisfactory experience and results. read more
