Came to Nico's as it was my friend's birthday dinner and she wanted all of us to come to Long Beach! Ordered the Gnocchi, Calamari, and Truffle Mushroom Arancini as starters, the House Salad and Caesar Salad as salads, and the Lobster Linguine, Tomahawk Rib Eye, Chilean Sea Bass, Pork Rib Chop, and Seafood Risotto as entrées. All the starters were solid, but the Truffle Mushroom Arancini stood out the most. Absolutely massive arancini with a great sauce! The salads were solid and came with an absolutely massive portion. All the entrées were insanely good. If I had to pick up a favorite, it was the Lobster Linguine. But honestly, everything was a hit! Also ordered the Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding, Lemon Cheesecake, and Tiramisu as desserts. Definitely liked the cheesecake the most! Service is great here. Really friendly and accommodating, especially since we had a large party. Food came out super quick, we were doing our best to finish off everything so that we had room on our table! Parking here is an absolute nightmare as it is all street parking with no valet parking. If it's a busy night, you might be parking a few blocks away. Definitely not the best situation. Ambience is very nice and cozy in here. Definitely gives off the vibe that it's a local neighborhood spot that serves great food. Overall, Nico's really took me by surprise! Great food and vibes here for sure!

The only con to this place is parking! Street parking is available just make sure to read the signs. There's 4-5 parking spaces in a garage but can easily be missed. We enjoyed a lovely dinner here on a Monday evening. Cameron was our server and he was great. Started off with calamari and crispy spinach. I've never had crispy spinach before and I thought it was the best thing ever. Also had their gnocchi which according to Cameron, Nico's has served for over 20 years. It's filling and so flavorful with mushrooms topped with truffle oil. They serve different soups daily so for that evening, we tried the poblano soup. This soup, needs its own paragraph. The poblano soup at Nico's is so good, it's probably one of the best soups I've had. Shredded chicken, corn, cheese, and diced poblanos makes for a thick, hearty, and perfect soup. Not too spicy at all. It's filling and will leave you wanting for more. The chef takes his time roasting the poblanos and you can tell that this soup is a labor of love. For our entrees, we tried their lobster linguine and surf and turf that came with mashed potatoes, Chinese broccoli, lobster tail, and filet mignon. Everything was delicious, especially the mashed potatoes. The restaurant is not that big, there's a back area which can accommodate a larger party otherwise there's tables of 2-6 that line one side of the place. In the middle is their bar area which the locals love hanging out around. The service here is excellent. We will be back again.

Came here for our anniversary and we were very impressed. Our server, JESSE, was top notch, made our night, and was very courteous and attentive the entire meal. Nico's is a splendid space with great waitstaff, great drinks and pretty amazing food. My spouse and I consider ourselves lucky to live close to it and enjoy coming here as often as we can manage. Even if you don't live in the area it will be worth the drive wherever you're coming from.

Went back here to where my kid and I like to hang out for lunch during in elementary school time and COVID period. We love this place a lot since it's convenient from the neighborhood and great foods. It's very cozy and romantic place before COVID and glad to see them went back to it. They do have open doors/windows on the bar side with high tables/chairs overlook the small parking lot. Dinning room is on the other side and with dark ambiance decors/walls and lite up at light, it is very romantic. Service is good, but sometime can be forgetful. Great foods, packed of great quality of meat and favor. Cocktails are will skillful make. Still a great place for great drinks and foods with friends or family. As for parking, street parkings...you might have to park a block away and walk over but it's a good way to build up an appetizer.

This is a regular spot for my husband and I when we are restaurant/bar hopping down Second Street on a Saturday afternoon. It's a great local spot with a cozy atmosphere, great drinks and good (albeit not mind blowing, but good) food. We usually sit at the bar as we look forward to being waited on by Celeste, an amazing bartender who is a pleasure to chat with as well. She makes fantastic espresso martinis (with freshly made espresso!) and is very accommodating to any cocktail or mocktail you can think of. While their bar area is small, the restaurant itself has a few different seating areas that are perfect for groups large or small, or just an intimate one-on-one date night. On this visit, they happened to have a seasonal holiday cocktail menu, which I love because it offers festive, creative options you wouldn't normally get with their regular beverage program. As always, they have a great wine list, by the glass and by the bottle. I love that the bar is just busy enough to have some energy but never too crowded during this time of day, and that they are open for lunch so I have a cozy place to take work clients that has a variety of food items. Parking can be a little challenging, there is a small lot and street parking but it can fill up fast. I have always had good experiences here and I just think it's a very cute, special place.

This is a fairly upscale restaurant with a very nice bar areas to hang out at. Seems to be flooded with locals and it has a very nice vibe to it. The food is pretty ok and the wine is overpriced. I assume as they only have nicer wines to choose from. I will definitely come back here to either eat something or to just enjoy a glass of wine. This place has great service and we will definitely come back. I only wish that they would have more cheaper wine options so you could enjoy a few glasses and not go broke....

Restaurants ambiance is sexy and dark perfect for an intimate date night! My boyfriend and I tried this place out accidentally because we had missed our other restaurant reservation. And I'm so GLAD we stumbled upon Nico's. We ordered some delicious cocktails and food( steak tar tar and ceaser salad with chicken)! Staff members are very accommodating with us. Let us dine even though they were a couple minutes till close. I have been thinking about the steak tar tar ever since I've left, almost went back the very next day. See you soon NICO'S!

Nico's has become one of our favorite restaurants due to their fantastic chef and fresh ingredients. In addition, Nico's staff, including the host/hostess staff who offer a warm greeting, attentive and helpful wait staff and friendly and knowledgable bar staff, are the best! Both full dinner and happy hour specials are available at this service oriented restaurant in the Naples area of Long Beach. Try the Watermelon martini! read more

We visited Nicos last night " Saturday " . And man was it an event !! We met friends had drinks at the bar , and sat down in the private lounge for dinner , we had a table full of amazing food, the filet mignon , the Pork chop , the sea food risotto and surf & Turf , each plate coming out looked better than the last . And when we thought we were finished we ordered the carrot cake !! It was one of the best carrot cakes I've ever had ! The service was wonderful , made us feel so special , great music , beautiful art on the walls ! Just amazing experience definitely recommend it for anybody who wants to have a special evening ! read more

Great food, I had the filet and it was amazing, great service awesome ambiance. Delicious and ice cold martini's, yes please!!! The valet can get a little backed up but that's no surprise in Belmont Shore. Reservations are a must at this little hot spot. read more

Worth mentioning my review only relates to Sunday lunch/brunch. We went their with a large party and were sat fastened served drinks ASAP. Food was great. I had the short rib hash the meat was very well flavored and the potatoes were also tasty. Others had salads and the breakfast burrito. All enjoyed very much enough to entice us all to come back for dinner. Ambiance is more upscale so wouldn't suggest for a super casual Sunday early day meal. read more

This place has outstanding food. The brussel sprouts are incredible. If you're a vegetarian that means a lot! My daughter always has the flat iron steak when we come for lunch on the weekend and she loves it (she doesn't love anything, so that's a huge compliment). The choice of wines are diverse and not too expensive. The interior is lovely... The service is relaxed but attentive. Need I say more? We love this restaurant. It's always worth the expense! read more

We had the most amazing meal at Nico's this past weekend. The food and service were beyond good- the pasta special I will dream about until I can get back and twist their arm to make it for me off menu. Ditto for the peach cheesecake. Tracy and John were our servers, made great recommendations and truly ensured we had fabulous service and a fabulous time. We couldn't have asked for a better evening, and George the owner was very gracious and ensured our dinner and experience were memorable in the best possible way. read more

Been coming here for a few years now. Always had great service. Food is always great. Bartenders are wonderful. All the staff except for one male server have always been accommodating. He was/is very arrogant. Good riddance to him! Didn't come soon enough for him to leave! read more

Nico's is a great place for a romantic dinner. The staff is very courteous and professional. The food is very good but portions are small. Since more upscale restaurants tend to focus on the quality and presenation of the dish, rather than quantity (this ain't no Claimjumper!), this isn't a surprise. As much as I like Nico's, I like Fora's (down the street) a wee bit more! But that's just IMHO... read more

I have had flat bread at the bar a couple times, but never dinner until recently. The menu was surprising, creative, and varied. Four of us dined and I was able to sample 2 appetizers and 3 entrees. All were good - a couple were great! I would recommend the pig ears if they are available. The service was good also - sweet girl who knew what she was talking about, and she checked on us regularly. She also called us a cab when we were ready to go. Will go back again soon. read more

This place is fabulous. Food and service excellent. The starters are yummy and the entrees tasty. I especially liked the lemon chicken and the poke appetizer. My husband loves that they have Chimay on tap. Full bar and a quiet atmosphere. Only street parking at lunch but valet in the evenings. If you're thinking romantic this is the spot read more

One of the BEST restaurants in Naples , as soon as we walked in we felt like we were part of an exclusive crowd ! We had a chance to check their wine list and started it off with an amazing bottle of Bordeaux , we were lucky enough to have the owner himself offer us samples of three other amazing French wines ! Once we got our food our filet rivaled the best steak houses around . The service and atmosphere were only overshadowed by the perfection of the steaks! I highly recommend this restaurant for someone who wants to spend an evening not just eat dinner ! read more

My bf and I came here for our anniversary. This place was delicious. We ordered calamari for appetizers (it was pretty good) we wanted to order oysters but it was like 4 for 18 bucks. I had the Nico's risotto which I loved and he had the flat iron steak which had like mashed potato and spinch I thought his was better. It was really good. The server was really attentive. We went on a Thursday night, it didn't seem that busy. I think it was two stories..I'm not sure but there were only 2 servers in the restaurant. For dessert, we had a chocolate banana pudding cake it was delicious better than what we had at Michael on Naples. Although this place is a lil pr icy, I will definitely come back again. It 's way better than Michael on Naples. Their drinks were pretty good too. I love the place and the feeling to it. It's not too too modern but it's a comfortable relaxing environment. read more

This wonderful european style dining spot is a fabulous deal for a top notch lunch. From the opening gougere to the small treat at the end, every detail is carefully crafted. The roast chicken revieved to treaments. Succulent and elevated beyond any bird I have had! Staff managed to be Michelin starred AND relaxed. The staff orchestrated among themselves-smile, nods, no eye rolling. The experience is enhanced by the building itself. read more

Nico's is amazing. Love the dim lighting and great mellow music on the background. The bar menu has great items for about $10, I highly recommend mushroom risotto or the shrimp tacos. Also, side french fries are $3! The wine selection is always right on. The owner, George, has amazing understanding of good wines and picks great wines by the glass. I had my b-day party at the backroom couple months ago and they let me play couple songs acoustically, appreciated the open mindedness. Kobe and Bree are great bartenders. They will make you feel very welcomed. read more

Love this place .... usually. Good vibe in bar and cozy and romantic and also upbeat and fun. However, had such a disappointing recent experience just have to Yelp. Planned special dinner for friends from out of area. Called and left detailed message to reserve table and requested booth in the bar area and got a text confirmation. Called that afternoon and spoke to a young man and clearly stated my table request. When we showed up, we were told wait for bar booth would be 2 hours. Lots of weak excuses about how staff should know not to confirm table requests. Finally seated in back "lounge" room which was just OK and waitress obviously new...very uneven service. Wish we had taken our guests down the street to Michaels. read more

Then Alex S came to our table, and he truly made the night exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful in making sure my order was exactly how I wanted it. I mentioned that I didn't want a large piece of butter melting over the steak, and he happily accommodated that request. He even checked on the exact ounce size of the filet for me, which I appreciated. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer, and honestly, they were the best Brussels sprouts we've ever had. Perfectly cooked, not drowning in sauce, and absolutely packed with flavor. My 8 oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare, exactly as ordered. The broccolini was crisp, fresh, and not overly oily. Everything tasted thoughtful, balanced, and worth every dollar. Most importantly, Alex S delivered spectacular service from start to finish. Nico's was one of the few places open, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the chicken and found it to be mediocre, especially considering the high price. The mussels were also just average. However, the bread pudding for dessert was truly incredible. The establishment has an above casual ambiance, and the service provided was impeccable. Despite that, considering the the food and its pricing, I don't think I would return. I've had much better food for a lower price elsewhere. Nico's is one of the best hidden secrets in Long Beach. I arrived on a Friday night with my cousin for a special occasion dinner the place was very welcoming great staff We got sat upstairs very cozy booth we started with one of the best calamari's I haven't had then we ordered some of their special Kumamoto oysters that were to die for. My cousin had the pork chop and it was cooked perfectly I had the fillet mignon and it was amazing. To finish your evening we had crème brûlée and dolce late harvest wine. One of the BEST restaurants in Naples , as soon as we walked in we felt like we were part of THE crowd ! We had a chance to check their wine list and started it off with an amazing bottle of Bordeaux , the owner himself offered us samples of three other amazing French wines ! Once we got our food our filet rivaled the best steak houses around . The service and atmosphere were only overshadowed by the perfection of the steaks!
