When it comes to something you have absolutely no knowledge about, it's hard to find someone you can trust. And that's where Luy enters. Luy, in short, is awesome. From my initial request for a quote to the moment the laptop was back in my hands, Luy was patient, helpful and honest. He responded to all my emails and phone messages right away, even my semi-neurotic email confirming he has my laptop. Luy walked me through everything he was doing to my computer, even giving me advice on how to better avoid viruses in the future. Even before I got my laptop back, I just KNEW it was going to come back fixed and as good as new. When he turned it on and I saw how fast it was running, I couldn't believe it. Seriously, my laptop is running 5x faster now. It was so bogged down with viruses, spyware, countless programs...I mean, I had everything you could possibly have on there. Luy cleaned it all up, installed a new antivirus and basically brought my computer back to life. As he told me later, he "treated my laptop like it was his baby." I could go on about how satisfied I was with Luy's services, but I'll just leave it at this - I was SO happy with his work that I felt compelled to tip him 50% of the quote. There was no doubt in my mind that any other place would have charged me a helluva lot more. But the fact that he was so upfront with everything and honored the quote, I just HAD to pay him more. So...some a-holes hack my poor little mail server and use it to relay spam all over the friggin' planet. My domain gets blacklisted, and I can't even send legitimate email to my own clients. Suffice it to say, I'm pissed (not to mention embarrassed and feeling violated). Now what? I call in IT Support Guys, and they take care of it - quickly, efficiently, and without making me sell a kidney to pay for it. Pretty soon, I'm back up and running. My red-headed step-child of a server gets the love it can't get from me, and everything is hunky dory. As a bonus, my laptop is tuned up and purring like a kitten. Can you imagine that, patience to explain how to fix your computer over the phone! Skills pure skill. Well i had somehow, during work with both bosses breathing down my back, managed to download the most recent horrible version of the TROJAN VIRUS. * Ya and as if I even knew what that was. We got Luy in to put some new RAM into a few computers at my work (a very straightforward task) but we asked him to do some trouble shooting/diagnostics to speed up our machines. He identified a load of things we could do including turning off things that were secretly using up RAM and processor capacity. We had a couple of computers in the office that wouldn't start, no matter what. I tried everything I could and they would just restart over and over. I spent a couple hours on the phone with Dell an I finally gave up and called these guys based on the good reviews here. The tech came in, saw the problem and in about 15 minutes he had the computer starting up again. This was nice because it left time for him to take care of other things while we had him (the computers had some virus or rootkill or something). He then explained that there was some update from Microsoft last week that was causing these crashes everywhere. I'm just glad they seem to know what was up; The last guy we called came by and spent 2 hours fixing one problem only to have it come back a couple weeks later! I have used his services twice and both times i got the results i wanted. He has fix my laptop that just wasn't starting anymore for 1/3 of the price of staples or office depot and without wiping out my hard drive! He has also fix the girlfriends virus infested desktop that wasn't starting anymore. One thing i do not like is dropping off my laptop at his drop off point. Parking sucks, and he is not there to talk to face to face about the problem. On the up side, when i got my laptop back i meet him at an near by location and had a face to face with him. I had a broken hard drive that I wanted to get information off of so I took it there. They couldn't get the information without charging hundreds of dollars, so I said that's fine and that he could just recycle the drive - which is a nice program they do there. The problem was the communication. I had to call over there several times over the course of two weeks just to get a status update on it. Then I called THEM about getting the bill for the $45 diagnostic test which I was to pay through Paypal. They said they would send it to my email later that day. Three weeks later (the week before Christmas) I get the bill. That is pretty weak, guys. read more

Louie of IT Support Guys is the most honest PC repairer I've dealt with. My computer was badly damaged and needed some new parts to get it running again. I took my laptop to Louie, and he explained to me exactly what needed to be done. In an attempt to cut costs, I called IBM directly to purchase those parts. Turns out, Louie didn't jack up the price at all for them. The parts price sold to me directly from IBM was exactly the same as purchasing from Louie. He's honest, knowledgeable, dependable and even charges less than any other support locations I've dealt with. Luy was great - easy to communicate with, reliable, made house calls, and was very affordable. My computer died on me - I didn't know it at the time, but Luy diagnosed the problem, explained why it would be too expensive to fix, and removed my hard drive to transfer my files to my new computer - and only charged me for parts (the 'dead computer special' I guess). He also pointed me towards a few web sites that I could use to find a new computer for cheap. All in all, great service and I'll be using Luy whenever something comes up computer-wise. read more

My experience w/ IT Support Guys was solely with Luy. I read so many great reviews so I thought he must be great. Although he seemed knowledgeable in fixing computers, his communication and lack of professionalism was a huge disappointment, making my experience w/ this business unpleasant! First of all, he completely flaked on me when I was supposed to meet him during a weekend. No call-nothing...Then I hear from him 3 days later. I mistakenly give him another chance and things are fine until it's time to pick up my laptop. He then goes back to being inconsistent w/ his follow up. He would call me back the day of my pickup w/ very little notice. I would send him text messages (we were communicating via cell phone, which he was ok w/) and not only would he not read them, he would not answer my question. I was basically chasing him to confirm w/ me a time and place to meet for pickup. I would leave different availability times to make it easier for him. No response on the time and place...The following morning, I left him another message asking him to confirm with me by noon. Luy had the nerves to say, "You are just killing me. I can't be scheduling appointments around so many different times". Had he only responded the first time I requested, we would not have been in that frustrating situation. I was just appalled that he blamed me for his inability to respond and confirm such a simple request. Therefore, based on Luy's communication skills or style and lack of professionalism, I personally would not recommend him. If you don't mind being the customer who has to chase the techs and then feel attacked for his shortcomings, then perhaps your experience will be great... Otherwise, I completely agree w/ cc p and understand cc p's issue with their communication. It's not always about the technical stuff. read more
