The damage I did to the drive required Five Star's clean-room service, and they quoted a flat rate to me in advance. The effort of recovering the data ended up being very challenging and took longer than any of us expected, but at the end Five Star was able to recover over 99% of the files--and I'm happy to say, the 1% of files were not important to me, so the 99% they recovered covered everything I needed. Despite that significant extra work, they invoiced me only for the original quoted amount. I'm happy with the results but also the professionalism. When I first reached out to Five Star, they got back to me at the start of the next business day and, after answering a few follow-up questions, I had a quote and scheduled to drop off my drive the same day. Vahan and Elen were particularly helpful and professional the entire way through. It was really a pleasure to work with them and I can't recommend Five Star enough!

Both are highly responsibly, well thought of people in the city of Glendale. So when they referred me to CKK Computers (not far from city headquarters) this was the first call I made. Got a chance to speak to Chris, who invited me down later that afternoon (yesterday). (I was told to call first because CKK does a lot of in house consultations. Which was/is true because Chris was in a consultation when I arrived. Then again in the aft when I returned at 3 pm. (to make a purchase of a Lenovo that Chris recommended.) They have tons of in-house product, i.e. laptops, desktops, refurbished, refreshed items that are top shelf. Certainly this Lenovo is, and I might well return to purchase a DELL "gaming" laptop that Chris highly recommended (for the graphics alone which Chris described). But for the holiday I just needed a cheap, functioning laptop to finish a writing project - and Chris gave me a great deal on this Lenovo. Also, there is a bright spot on my phone on the right side, which affects my wallpaper. I came into this place to have it checked out and see how much it would cost to repair. The tech took one look at the photo and said it's not the screen that's damaged. It's the photo is highlighting a glare in the background. He switched it to night mode, and the glare was gone, so it was clearly the photo I had as a background and not the screen itself. Also, I asked him about the streaks of light on my photos. He took one look at it and said that my lens cover is really dusty. He cleaned it off and we took a photo and all the streaks were gone. I wanna point this out because these are two things that any dishonest repair shop can easily say they will look at it and fix it and charge me $100-$200. Because of their honesty, this was a five minute visit where he did want adjustment and one lens cleaning and didn't even charge me. It's good to know that they are still honest repairman out there. If I do have a problem, I will be sure to come back here

The reason I did not appreciate this office was because when I got there, they said oh this location doesn't have those batteries. I said it would've been nice if y'all looked at the appointment I booked and the exact make and model of my phone that I listed and called me to tell me y'all don't have any batteries in stock so I could go to a location that could service my phone.
