Our current A/Cs were broken and we needed them replaced right away as it was a particularly hot day. Someone responded to our call same day, although they weren't able to service us until a few days later, which thankfully the weather wasn't too brutal. We got three Fujitsus installed. It took two technicians one and a half days to complete it. We live in a condo that originally had Fedders in-wall units. They took out the in-wall units, patched up the walls beautifully, and respectfully cleaned up the more obvious debris afterwards (but still expect a lot of dust). They do not paint so you'll have to deal with concealing the patch yourself which is reasonable. Afterwards the technician made sure we understood how to use the units, and answered all of our questions. Overall a good experience. Side note: NY condo rules are you can do whatever you want on the inside of your unit but you can't change the outside of the building so in my picture you'll see that the Fedders cover is still there (but patched on the inside) read more

Alex and his team did a fantastic job installing 2 multi-zone condensers and 4 wall mounted blower units in our split level condo. The installation was clean and we're very happy with the outcome. The effectiveness of the cooling systems are day and night compared to our old nightmare PTACs. Quiet, cools fast, and we got so much wall space back in each of our rooms. Setting up the appointment to get a quote was very easy. Alex was punctual, answered all of our questions, and gave us a competitive quote. The installation of the units themselves took about 2 days, with an extra day for Igor (the excellent finish guy) to remove our old PTAC units, patch up and seal the PTAC sleeve holes, and re-finish our drywall (even after a custom plumbing/radiator job). He came back to make sure the water sealing looked good. The Fujitsu units themselves are great. I read all of the positive reviews and thought I would try New York Ductless, but was disappointed. I tried 3 times to contact them over a couple of weeks, but no response. Then, I tried again, telling them that this was my 4th and last try. So, I got a call several hours later, which was good. The woman who called never said "Sorry" for the delay or even "whoops." Ok, I thought, well I don't need an A/C contractor to be polite, I just need competence and communication. So, the NYD woman told me she would call me back the same day with a date for someone to come and give me an estimate. Did she? NO. Just blew me off for the 4th time. Never heard from them. As our president would say, "Sad." Perhaps their good reviews are all family and friends. I just don't see how anyone could earn 5 stars -- or even stay in business -- with such poor communication skills. By contrast, I tried Rich Air afterwards, and they called me back in 2 hours. I'm done with NY Ductless. It's a shame. read more
