Fantastic work. Look no further! Kami came out and did a thorough assessment and answered all of my questions. We had received multiple quotes, and Kami's was both the most clear and detailed _and_ the least expensive. Scheduling was easy, and Kami's team doing the work was friendly, focused, efficient, and detailed. They remembered lots of small details about specific spots, and the work looks solid and professional. They even finished about a day earlier than planned, and cleaned up neatly. The work: Parapet seal replacement and waterproofing, as well as minor repointing and bulkhead waterproofing. read more

Usman and his team did a great job repairing our leaking roof. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish--they were communicative, professional, and got the job done efficiently. I especially appreciated how thorough the proposal was. They clearly explained and compared the different repair options, including both a more cost-effective solution and a more permanent fix. There was no pressure or hard sell to choose the more expensive option, which I really appreciated. Overall, a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend them! read more

I really recommend Hi Tech Contracting for roofing services in the NYC area,They recently completed a full roof replacement on our home and we appreciate the skill and professionalism afforded to my husband and me. They arrived on time for appointments and maintained a clean work area. Communication was excellent, with updates and answers to questions. The workmanship was exceptional. High-quality materials were used, and attention to detail was given during the installation. The project finished on time, and the pricing was competitive and reasonable. Their professionalism, quality of work, and customer service are noteworthy. We were referred to the company by a neighbor and they were equally happy with the work. Thank you Kami and Hi Tech. read more

Wonderful experience with Usman, Kami and their team. I had water issue on my flat roof. They were able to diagnose the issues and fix the problem, using the highest quality materials. They were thorough, clean and respectful to my property. Communication from day one to completion was perfect, which included detailed descriptions of the job and progress photos of the repair work. Can't say enough great things about my experience with them and I highly recommend them. Thank you!! read more

Usman and his incredibly capable crew restored and repaired my 6 story townhouse back exterior and my roof, which are made out of EIFS stucco. We had hired a structural engineer to add flashing to balconies as well as ceiling fans. When he added the fans, he cut into the EIFS and did a very poor job patching the channel he cut to hide the electric. This caused condensation inside the home and required immediate repair. Usman is a class act. He personally showed up to the project himself every single day. He also did certain parts of the project himself or was helping his men in any way he could by doing various tasks. The roof needed a sauna removal, which Usman and his crew did with extreme care, but also left lots of damage to the EIFS stucco. Usman and his team carefully repaired it. Upon repair, he inspected our roof and found many critical issues we were unaware of. It was not done in a "pushy contractor" way, it was done because he knows his business and his products so well, he wanted to figure out why the roof was requiring so much product and because he is INCREDIBLY detail oriented. It was because the EIFS was getting wet due to exposed limestone joints, which over time would have meant we would have to redo the entire EIFS (a very big and expensive job) and he also found an immediate future issue which would have caused a leak. We were able to fix and get ahead of both, while staying on the original timeline. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated Usman and his team's attention to detail from start to finish of the project. Over the past 8 years in my townhouse, I have put a lot of work into it. It is tricky to find a great contractor. One that is not only talented, but also cares about his work AND his workers!!! That is a true sign to me of a wonderful company. He not only ordered lunch for his crew, he ALSO ordered lunch for my housekeeper and myself! I kept calling my husband and telling him how kind Usman was and how thorough. He is EXTREMELY thorough. He is collaborative in the sense that he will listen to the owner (in this case me) and address any and all concerns or questions I had with thoughtfulness and care. We hadn't planned on restoring the front of my building, which is limestone, but I had a quick question about it (NOT part of the scope!) for Usman and after I received the answer, my husband and I decided to get a bid to do preventative work to restore the front using Usman and his team again. I will absolutely continue to be a repeat customer. Owning a building requires contractors and Usman and his team are absolute gems. Clean, courteous, professional, and talented. We have spent hundreds of thousands on "top contractors" and some have been good, some awful, Usman was great. I couldn't recommend Hi Tech Contracting & Restoration more. read more

Highly recommend working with Hi tech contracting and restoration! We had a good experience right from the start when Mr. Usman came to our property on the day of the appointment and covered the scope of work with us. We fixed front and back walls of our brownstone with restoring the wall and multiple coats of paint. They provided a competitive bid and started the project on time. During the work, if there was any small scope increase they covered it as part of original quote. They finished the work on time and we did not get any compliant from our neighbors. Mr. Usman was on our property for the entire renovation work and made sure that the work was done with high quality. Thank you! read more

Quick communication, fair pricing for framing work, prompt scheduling to complete the project, and friendly.

We worked with Hi Tech, specifically Usman and his crew, on basically a complete restoration and waterproofing of our entire house. They put a new layer of roof on, new limestone on the parapet, brick re-pointing, stucco repair and paint, caulking around windows, fixing a leak above a window, masonry work on the brownstone and paint, and finally masonry work around the entire perimeter of the house to waterproof. It was a large project and they finished on time! Our house looks so beautiful. I am so thrilled with how everything turned out! I cannot say enough about how great working with Usman was. He excels at communication, problem solving, attention to detail and ensuring the process is as seamless as possible. You can really tell he knows what he's doing, that he understands the products used, and that he cares a lot! You really could not find a better contractor to work with. While I hope we will not need any work done anytime soon, I would absolutely hire Hi Tech again and refer them to anyone I know. read more

I've worked with Hi Tech Contracting and Restoration on three large projects at my building, and I have to praise their excellent and professional work, and also Kamran, Mr. Khan, and all of the workers. As I said, they do an excellent job, a lot neater and tidier than many crews I've worked with. Kamran also is an expert on this and knows what is needed to get things done to code and safely, but never puts on any pressure so much as makes me feel better informed about what should be done. Their prices are also incredibly reasonable, particularly for what you get. Below are some pictures attesting to the excellent work that they do, but even more than that, they were not only a pleasure to work with, but on my most recent project, I'd had some difficulties. They worked with me through them when they could easily have left for another job. They were patient, supportive, willing to participate in calls and e-mail chains, multiple site visits, and finally, when they got the opportunity to work, they sent extra men to ensure it was done quickly. This was a difficult situation that would have been impossible to resolve without Kamran's help, and I'm relieved to have the piece of mind knowing my building's exterior is secured. I whole heartedly recommend Hi Tech, and will call on them again when I need more work, and if you need a service they can provide, you won't be disappointed. read more

Kamran and his team did a great job fixing up our building. This is our second time working with them. They are quick and efficient in giving an estimate and timely with getting the work done. The first time, they removed our deck and resealed the roof underneath our deck. Other contractors were unwilling to remove the deck themselves so we appreciated that we did not have to find another contractor to do that work. The second time, they repainted our fence, re-caulked our windows, resealed our roof, repainted our fire escape, and more. We were very satisfied with their work and would recommend them to others. read more

The owner of this company made allegations of my Harassing him. However, ever since our interaction. I have been inundated with phone calls that are placed on line using a facticius email address, My real address and various spellings of my first and last name. Set up a visit for an estimate. Prompt, came in a timely fashion. Tried to tell me my roof could use just a new layer of shingles without having to do a complete tear off. I told him he was wrong. In NYC only two layers of roofing are permissible. How would a third layer work out? I get in trouble, so they can make money? Also suggested that I just do the back of the home instead of the entire roof. He did send an estimate. I reminded him about what I wanted and now I have not heard back for the new estimate that would include removing all shingles. I assume he too, did not want to pull a permit for the purpose re-decking before new underlayment and shingles. What he wanted to charge me to just roof over existing is absurd. Where do these people come from? I called upon this company's assistance because they GAF Certified. Too many contractors don't know the building codes for NYC and I'm tired of telling them. Engage at your own risk. read more

Had reached out to Kamran for some guidance on a leak in my basement where water was pouring into the basement whenever we got the monsoon weather (which at this point was at least once a month). Held off on repairs since it was still winter time. Once summer came around I noticed some discoloring on my ceiling which would indicate water seeping through. I immediately contacted Kamran again to get these issues fixed and the crew came out the next day to start work. His team identified multiple cracks in the existing room and had recommended patching and applying a new layer of silicon. A full replacement wasn't needed. The house is reaching 100yrs old and Kamran had recommended tuck pointing in the front of the house that faces the sun all day. The mortar definitely started to look like sand as nothing was done with the pointing since the house was built. The team got this done a few days. So far so good! Had held off on a review to see how everything will hold up in the heavy rain. So far we already got hit with the crazy tropical storm and the tail end of a hurricane and everything is holding up just fine! Not seeing any issues on my ceiling and no more leaks from my basement window. Would recommend Hi tech to anyone that needs work on their Brooklyn home! read more

Tl;dr: I'd hire them again. Reasonable pricing, quick, communicative, professional, and solid workmanship. Long description: I needed to remove and replace an old patio, and Hi Tech provided the best quote and got the job done quickly and professionally. Kamran came out to see the old patio, worked with me on a quote that was reasonable. Due to supply chain and materials pricing challenges there was a delay in when they could get the materials to start work, but as soon as they got it the team was in and out of my yard in 2 days. First day to remove everything from old pavers to landscape rock to misc pots of plants, then they cleaned up the space. The second (and last day) they did the pavers. They cleaned up after themselves and the efficiency and communication were great. Would def consider hiring them again for other masonry work. The only thing I'd probably change is that I'd protect my indoor floors a bit more myself - construction paper did a good job but because it's dirt and debris it was still everywhere in my apt (the entry point to the yard). read more

We had some brickwork that needed repair, and used Yelp to solicit quotes in home services, for the first time. We ultimately selected Kamran and his Hi Tech Contracting and Restoration Corp out of the contractors who responded. Kamran was the only contractor who pushed back against the scope of our request, and suggested a range of more practical alternatives based on his assessment of the condition of the house. I wish the other companies would have provided that sort of honest feedback. Kamran also provided the most detailed itemized cost estimate of the bidders. The final scope of work primarily consisted of power-washing the house, repairing a patchwork of mortar joints, and applying a brick waterproof sealer to the entire house. Kamran provided a loosely-estimated start date about a week or two in advance, with project duration and work hours, and followed up with a confirmation a few days before actually starting work. Hi Tech Contracting and Restoration aimed to impress. The job was slated to take about 1.5 days, but they did everything in one day, bringing in up to four people to simultaneously work on the house for what should have been a two-person job. They also performed some out-of-scope work: they noticed some areas were inadequately sealed and took the initiative to caulk them. For most of the day, Kamran's brother was onsite to manage the work, while Kamran regularly checked in with me via text. There was one snafu. We had to run a power cord from the house, out the front door for grinding. The guys could have some taken some extra precaution to make sure that the ensuing dust cloud from grinding wouldn't enter the house. Overall, I am satisfied with the work Hi Tech Contracting and Restoration performed, and would consider using them in future jobs. read more

I worked with Kamran from Hi Tech Contracting to remove a cracked sidewalk and lay a new one. I found him to be very prompt in communicating a quote, which was competitive with others I'd received, and hired him based on this and Yelp reviews. When his employees came they worked to complete the sidewalk in a day, were polite and able to work around some obstacles. I recommend Hi Tech, with the only caveat being to make clear if you are on a tight schedule.
