Michael and his talented and highly efficient workers revamped my 1,300 square foot patio. The project included pulling up the existing bluestone pavers, which were over 15 years old. I really loved them and wanted to incorporate them back into the patio design. Mike came up with a beautiful functional design and created two separate 10 x 10 entertaining areas using the existing bluestone which he first power washed and then set into a 3" cement base. His workers meticulously cut the bluestone and set a trim around the whole patio. They also had to remove an old stone grill that was falling apart. Once it was removed, they repaired the stone retaining wall. Additionally, the property needed to be graded so that the flow of water sloped properly away from the home. On the side of the house, they poured a 20' concrete slab to house our new oil tanks and the central air conditioning unit. That part of the house sits low so they dug a 2' x 4' french drain with velt liner and filled it with bluestones gravel to eliminate any build-up of water. Our walk path from the patio to side of the house was graded and then bluestone stepping-stones were layed into 3/4 blue stone gravel. Mike and his crew did an unbelievable job on our pathway, side of house French Drain and concrete slab and the backyard patio. The crew came timely everyday and worked full days. They were neat and cleaned up everyday . Mike's estimate was very competitive, the best we found and I cant say enough about the quality of his work. I love my backyard now it's really beautiful and I look forward to working with Mike and his crew again. read more

Michael was suggested to us by our local Masonary, which I was originally a little hesitant about. However the second he showed up at my door, he did not just help us brainstorm ideas, us all his creativity, and make incredible suggestions, he also educated us! He saw some paper sticking out from behind one of the poorly placed pavers, that the original person who did our front stairs and porch used literal garbage, (think kitchen waste and dirty diapers) to fill in the original stoop. Michael was patient, and understanding with the start date, payment agreements and made us feel like we were in the best hands! Michael, Alex and the team were so meticulous on every detail, taking the lights off, and moving them until I was happy with their exact location. Their was not an ounce of dread regarding the amount of work involved, and the never-ending amounts of debris. The level of professionalism is off the charts. Everything down to last minute changes was accepted with a smile even though it required returning to the Masonary more times on Michaels part. We were so happy with his work, that we are now doing a stage two to the project and having Michael and his crew install a basketball court, and walkway to the back of the house. We have given his number to countless friends and neighbors for all their masonary needs and can't wait to continue working with him! I wish their was a third project we could do! read more

I asked Michael to bid on a project that involved fixing a front and back stoop that had fallen into disrepair. Unlike most of the other contractors I had contacted, Michael was very responsive and knowledgeable. He was upfront about his work circumstances and backlog, which affected his ability to schedule a personal visit for an estimate. Once we had the estimate scheduled he showed up as promised and uncovered things of which I was unaware that needed to be addressed. He was honest and fair in pricing the work, and was flexible in terms of our needs for getting it done. He was even willing to throw in the cost of building a small dryer vent cover near the front stoop. In terms of pricing, his estimate for both stoops was only a little more than others wanted for only the back stoop. Michael's crew showed up on time and completed their work effectively and efficiently, cleaning up everything before leaving. The quality of the work they did is evident from the before and after pictures I will post if this site allows them. If you need masonry work of any kind done, and are looking for a company that takes pride in its work, is fair in its pricing, cares about the customer, and is dependable in completing the project as scheduled, then you really need to ask Michael for a quote. I always like to write a review when I receive exceptional service! I was beyond pleased with Masonry Repairs by Michael! The repair work is pure perfection and the price was right!! Little back story- we receiving a couple of recommendations, as to how to repair our back stoop, along with competitors price quotes. A lot of shady companies out there. We knew we didn't have to look any further after meeting Mike Aquino, owner of Masonry Repairs by Michael. Mike explained how exactly he would fix the stoop and honestly was just an all around honest guy! Felt like we knew him for years by the time he finished with the estimate. We rebuilt our front and back stoops in brick and Blue Stone, as well as replacing our 200 sq ft concrete patio. Mike presented us with a few option to finish the patio and we chose to use 6x9 bluestone lend pavers to tie it in with the stoop. We hired Michael and his team to install a Ledgestone Smooth 3-piece backyard patio, a new driveway, and a slab, and I can't sing their praises enough. We had existing grading and drainage issues. A few contractors bid for the job, but none took the time to educate us on what was needed to complete our installation correctly until Michael and Alex arrived. We got water into our brick home and knew we needed work to get it fixed. After our estimate with Mike, we knew we needed to go with his team.
