ML Best truly was the best. We had some leaks coming into our house, and had multiple roofing companies come by for an estimate, 6 in total. Manuel, who is the owner, came by by to do our estimate. He was the most thorough person we had who conducted the estimate, he really took his time, went into our attic and on our roof to really assess the issue. While that sounds "standard" there were a few companies that either didn't ask to go in our attic, and we actually had one company not even go on the roof! Ultimately, Manuel's knowledge, time and explanation of what needed to be done gave us the comfort to move forward. Not only was he competitively priced, but ML Best offered the best financing terms with 4 years and 0%. We live in a sprawling ranch, about 5400 square ft of roof, so this was a big job. They replaced all of the plywood, and put down thicker more protective plywood than what the other companies offered. They replaced 2 skylights, they added 2 attic fans and installed a ridge vent. They also made sure to put new copper flashing around the 2 fireplace stacks on the roof. There was a large crew who got this job done in just 2 days. It's been 9 years since my new roof, gutters, leaders and siding were installed. They still look brand new, with virtually no problems I had an issue with my exhaust fan in the attic. I gave Manuel a call. He resloved the problem right away. How much more could you ask from a contractor. Maybe a smile and a hand shake. Just like old friends, I got that too. Manuel was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. He was able to book us a week after consultation. His crew arrived early and ready to begin by 7am, he removed our shingled roof and flat roof, replaced original planking with new exterior grade plywood replaced gutters, leaders and capping. Excellent workmanship, protected our neighbors property. Cleaned and restored surrounding area on both side neighbors showing no signs of the major job that was happening. We are so happy with ML Best! Look no further! After moving into our new home, the last thing we were expecting to have to do was install a new roof. Unfortunately we started experiencing multiple leaks and began calling roofing companies. ML Best was the first company we called and they came (the owner) the same day within a few hours (on a Saturday)! We received 5 estimates after ML Best provided us with an estimate and Manuel (owner) was the only person who truly took his time and explained everything to us. He was at our house for almost 2 hours inspecting the roof, inspecting the attic, and walking us through how and why certain things needed to be done. He also stayed in constant communication with us and was very responsive. We decided to move forward with ML Best and they were able to get us on the schedule within 2 weeks. ML Best also had the most favorable financing terms for a project of this size - 0% over 4 years! We have a 5,400 square foot roof which is a lot of roof (because our home is a ranch) and they completed the job in 2 days! They replaced all of the plywood and properly vented the attic by installing a fan in each attic (we have one on each side of our home). They also installed a ridge vent and replaced 2 sky lights. Manuel suggested the solar sky lights so we can open them with a remote which is awesome because we actually open our sky lights now! We also had an area of our roof that was a flat roof which was redone perfectly. Finally, we received an excellent warranty for our roof. He replaced one portion of my roof a couple of years ago, but didn't push us to do the entire job at that time, as he said it wasn't necessary yet. We just had him complete the rest of the roof. its a very large roof and they were in and out in 3 days. he brought a large crew and they got it done efficiently. They just completed replacing my entire roof including all new plywood on a second home I own on the east end of Long Island. Exceptional from start to finish. When I called for an estimate 10 days ago I expected to get voicemail. Instead Chris, the very professional office manager, answered immediately and scheduled the appointment for 3 days later. When Manuel, the owner, gave us the estimate he clearly explained the process and customized his proposal according to our specific needs. The job was initially scheduled for Dec. 1 but, when an earlier job got postponed, Manuel called to see if they could come this week. Ours was a particularly complicated job that involved ripping up the original cedar shake roof and two additional layers. Roofers were great. They arrived promptly and worked almost non-stop each day until it got too dark. They were efficient, took great care to protect our house and property during the installation and thoroughly cleaned up when they finished. Today, 10 days after my call for an estimate, we have a new roof and gutters. It looks great! We couldn't be happier! read more

We made an appointment for 8/27 between 1-1:30pm. Not only did they not show up they did not call. Very disappointed to waste a day waiting for an estimate on a Huge roofing job. If this is how they run there company we would not have any faith in their workmanship or professionalism. read more

We had our roof done by ML Best Construction in November. We were pleased with the company from the time Manny came to give us an estimate to the last day of clean up. We had reason to call and ask them to come back and, again, we were pleased with their responsiveness. They persevered to fix a complicated problem. Very good experience. Gave us a quote, followed up with a contract, finished on time and very close to bid. Didn't ask for cash payment and brought an extra large crew to get it done for us in one day. Kept us informed throughout the entire project. I received my warranty for the roof in the mail several days later. Only recommendation for improvement is that we didn't get a paid receipt immediately when we paid by check, which my insurance company wanted as "proof" that it was replaced AND paid in full. But, three business days later my check isn't cashed yet, so it's pretty clear they aren't desperate to get their paws on your money and have a decent amount of existing capital to operate with, which is an indication that they have steady work and repeat clients. read more

Initially happy with work by ml best. They did my roofing and siding after super storm sandy . I had planned to wait to do siding after my porch was completed. I had three columns that would need replacing which would leave three spaces in the underneath part of siding. I was assured they would come back and fix. I began calling in August and in December I was still getting the run around. Finally I was sent an invoice for 800 dollars to complete work. I assumed it was included in the 20k i paid for roof and siding. Frustrated I gave up on ml best and had it done locally for 160 dollars including materials . read more
