My husband and I hired Stasi Brothers to do the driveway of our newly renovated home and we could not be happier!!! When we initially met with Sal, he was extremely knowledgeable when answering our questions and offering advice as we shared our ideas and vision. He gave us a great price, worked quickly with our timeline so we could have the driveway ready for our Christmas Eve party, and he was super responsive throughout the entire project. His entire crew was professional, friendly, and gave us confidence and peace of mind as they worked. Jose did a great job leading the project each day and making sure everything went smoothly. We were very impressed with Julio's attention to detail as he brought to life the creative, unique design we envisioned with the pavers for our front porch entranceway. Overall, I just want to express our gratitude and take the time to recognize the fantastic team that Stasi has put together. My husband and I were very impressed with their work from start to finish, so happy with how our beautiful driveway came out, and highly recommend them! They went over and above for us, knocking it out of the park in every category!!! Photos attached ! (Stasi did the entire driveway, paver design at entrance, curved pavers for raised garden beds, etc.... You can ignore the steps and porch since my husband and I did our own quick touch-up job on those for now lol)

Huge gap in stoop

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT There's a huge gap in my front stoop... My back patio sank.... And they had to redo the blacktop they did on my driveway... After publishing the review above, I received a message from business owner J S. saying that he does not believe that this was done by Stasi Brothers. I have updated my review to include photos that show the company working.... AND A PHOTO OF OUR PROJECT ON THEIR WEBSITE.... and a receipt... and my husband's text exchange with Sal. I have better things to do with my time than to write a false review (like shopvac-ing the water in my basement thanks the dodgy patio I'm left with!) I also received a private message on yelp from Oren L. I provided him with the address of the project and well as a cell phone to reach us. I ALSO just went on the "contact us" page of the Stasi website to write of my complaint, and I called 516-334-1229 and left 2 voicemails (one in the general inbox and one in Sal's inbox). Stay tuned.

Fresh cement sidewalk by the touched up bluestone walkway.

Stasi Brothers paving is definitely the go to company for your masonry, cement, and asphalt needs on Long Island. Driveways, Patios, & Walkways all done right! I had to pleasure to work with Sam Stasi, obviously one of the Stasi's hence the name of the business. Yes, family business if you didn't get that part haha. It's nice that you have quality and compassion for a big family business like this one. I had the sidewalk redone because we had some trees taken out by the town and unfortunately they went spray paint happy marking away throwing money signs in the air all over the place for us. Not to fret though I gave Stasi Brothers a call and they sent out Sam Stasi a handsome young gentlemen yet so knowledgeable and friendly! He understood our situation and had our sidewalk tore out, poured and cleaned up in a jiffy! If it wasn't for him we would deal with fines, tickets, and town court appearances! He did such a great we asked him to touch up our walkway, even though this wasn't part of the original job he added on and touched it up for us a little bit! That's customer service at its best folks! So with this kindness and skilled workmen ship we'll look forward to having him do our patio and driveway sooner than later... I just want to say a heartfelt thank you from our family to yours, all the best!

Paver job at my house.

I want to thank Chris and his awesome crew for doing an amazing job at my house with the pavers. Great prices and very skilled workers!!!

We went with Stasi Brothers to add pavers around our pool and throughout our backyard. So glad we made this choice and we couldn't be happier with the quality of work and level of service provided. We worked with Sal, and he was a fantastic project manager/coordinator. He gave us great tips on where money was worth spending, presented us with multiple options and feedback/opinions based on his expertise, and also provided us with great recommendations for colleagues/companies that they partner with for fencing and landscaping. Sal also gave us great advice about waiting for the ground to settle after we had the pool installed in order to avoid having uneven pavers and additional work at a later date. Very happy he advised us of this and convinced us to be patient. He was 100% correct in his advice and we're thankful for the direction provided. I can't express how great Sal was in terms of coordinating across multiple parties, providing us with timelines and setting expectations, and just being a general pleasure to deal with. He always responded in a timely fashion and we never felt out of the loop with him. Our friend recommended Stasi Brothers to us and we're ecstatic about that. Originally, we were going with a much more expensive company and Stasi Brothers was able to give us much better pricing while still providing high quality work. Based on how pleased we were with the quality of work, level of communication, financials, and project management in general, we can't recommend them enough.

The legs in the back of the table were generic stone and did not match the natural stone in the front that was chosen.

After reading all the positive reviews from yelp, we went with Stasi Brothers to build our outdoor BBQ kitchen. Initially, Sal was really good and helpful with following up on us before we decided to go with them. I should've paid attention to the only other critical review on here. Once we decided to move forward with him, I could not get a hold of him. He wouldn't answer numerous calls or texts and his voicemail was always full. There was a 2 week period where I called his office and spoke with his assistant and called and texted his cell everyday in order to get him to call me back. My electrician and the plumber all had to wait around for his schedule and when he finally calls you back with a date, it's usually last minute which made it very difficult to coordinate with the other contractors. If I hadn't filled out my village construction permit with him listed as the contractor, I would've definitely found a different contractor. When we finally got the work started, his crew showed up before him and asked what I wanted to build. There was no instruction or drawings or anything from Sal for his crew!! When he finally showed up 15 mins later, he asked for paper and pencil and sketched the layout of my kitchen. At this point, I am already skeptical at the details of the construction. We ran into a few hurdles due to lack of attention. For example, when we were picking out the sink, we didn't realize that it was too big for the island and made it a nightmare for the granite to be installed. They also tried to cut costs but using generic stone for legs on a granite table. At his point, I no longer have patience to deal or fix it with Sal. As the other reviewer stated, we also found beer bottles left by the construction crew and even a cigarette wedged in deep between the stones. From start to finish, it was a draining and painful process and took way longer than it should have. We hired Stasi Brothers around May, construction did not start until middle of August and ended in end of September. Sal himself seemed like a nice guy but they are probably too busy to pay attention to small customers like myself. I would not recommend Stasi Brothers and would not hire them again. Quality of construction: 3 Getting a response from Sal: 1

Stasi Brothers just finished putting pavers on our driveway, walkway, front porch and yard. What an amazing job they did!!! Our home looks beautiful!!! everyone stops to admire the workmanship and to ask who did the work. The workers had great attention to detail, hard working and extremely polite. Our home was truly transformed. Sal was a pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. If we didn't like something it was immediately addressed and changed. Sal even helped a neighbor repair their sidewalk at a cost of $100 due to their current financial situation. It would have cost my neighbor over $700 plus fines imposed by the county. Sal has a heart of gold!!!!! I would give them 10 stars if I could.

1 Star - Defective Work, No Contract, Avoided Responsibility…read moreI hired Long Island Mason & Concrete Corp in June 2024 to pour a concrete patio for $5,900. The experience was a nightmare from start to finish. The Problems: The contractor requested payment in cash and never provided a written contract, which is required by New York law for jobs over $500. Within one week of the pour, two slabs began flaking and scaling. I immediately contacted the contractor. The work was done on a 100-degree day. When I raised concerns about the extreme heat affecting the concrete, the contractor acknowledged "this is the result of extreme heat" but refused to take responsibility as the professional who should have managed weather conditions or rescheduled. Months of Delays: Instead of promptly addressing the defects, the contractor stalled for months. When he finally offered to replace the two damaged slabs, he demanded I sign a liability waiver and warned the new concrete wouldn't match the color of the existing slabs - meaning I'd have a permanently mismatched patio due to his defective work. I offered a reasonable cash settlement to resolve the issue. He refused. I had no choice but to file a complaint with Nassau County Consumer Affairs. Official Violations: Consumer Affairs cited the contractor for multiple violations, including failure to provide a written contract (violation 202360, originally a $2,500 fine). He only agreed to a settlement after facing thousands in fines and potential license suspension. Ongoing Defects: After settling, two additional slabs developed structural cracks running completely across the slabs from joint to joint. All four slabs now show defects, confirming my original concern that the entire pour was compromised. Bottom Line: For a $5,900 job, I received a defective patio that required a 7-month battle through Consumer Affairs to get partial compensation. The contractor operates without proper contracts, pours in extreme conditions without adequate precautions, and avoids responsibility when problems arise. I strongly recommend hiring a licensed contractor who provides written contracts, follows proper procedures, and stands behind their work. This is not that contractor.

They finished the job in two days and were fairly priced. It's been about a month and we haven't seen a leak yet despite all the snow and rain. If we do I will update. Give them a call. They didn't reflect the negative reviews I read on here. If you want the full details read on. Vinny came to our house and was very detailed in explaining what he thought the problem was and how he would fix it. He listened to my questions (I tend to have a lot) and didn't try to upsell us. I assumed the problem would need a French drain and more and he felt confident that we didn't need to go to that expense. He said he could do all of that but we would be fine with an exterior membrane. I met with two other waterproofers who pretty much said the same and Vinny was the middle quote -yet we still chose him because he was honest and down to earth. Also I liked that his sons do the work so I trust they will take care to do it right. They scheduled us pretty quickly and got to work right away at 7 am. Three of them hand dug a 25 ft x 9 ft trench over two days (originally was supposed to be one but they needed a second because of our collapsing soil). They sealed the foundation and took care to replace my window wells, put my Sprinkler lines back, and stack the pavers they had to remove. We met Marty by a referral when looking to update the front of our home. Our original pavers were 40+ years old. We loved the unique shape and style but needed a refresh. We used a combination of bluestone, cobblestone, culturestone and Cambridge cobalt pavers. MJD nailed the half moon shape and retained the look we adored and even added a planters box to highlight tree we have out front. We loved it so much, fast forward one year later we brought back MJD for our back patio. Work included steppingstones, full "figure 8" pool coping and pavers including plumbing (which MJD coordinated), columns to our bar, and a planters box.
