Bill and his crews did a great job of fixing the roof leak! It hasn't been leaking so far after the fix on 12/6/2021. Although they are not the cheapest among the vendors offering to fix the roof, they were very responsive, offered a great quality of work and a 10 years warranty! While all the other contractors I talked to needed at least 2 - 4 weeks before actually fixing it, Bill did the inspection himself and was able to schedule the work in about 3-4 days! His crews, Mario and another man who can't speak much English took just 1 day to install the new valley membrane and finish all the patching. And they cleaned up all the garbage promptly. There were only 2 things I was a little bit concerned about, which Bill promptly and patiently answered. (1) It's a bit cloudy/rainy on 12/6, so I was worried that might affect their work and was wondering if Bill wanted to reschedule. But Bill, based on his experience, assured me that they would be able to finish the work before the rain, and it shouldn't have any impact. (2) It's stated on the contract that the valley roofing material will be "new Firestone roofing with black mineral surface", but eventually what's installed is "Firestone SBS White". Bill explained that the white one would be a better fit because a silver coating is needed for the black one, and with Firestone SBS White, the silver coating is not needed. I am really glad and appreciate that Bill took the time to patiently and promptly address my concerns, and explained everything thoroughly to me! And he is very flexible with the payment methods as well! Overall, Bill and his teams did an awesome job! Thank you very much for the hard work! Apparently his workers laid a tarp over the concrete and the concrete took on the color and patters of the tarp. We have very reasonable and understanding while waiting for them to correct the issue. Meanwhile I keep having to reach out to the owner who decided not to return calls or fix the issue. So we now are seeking legal action and reporting to the better business bureau.

The work took 7 work days for ~500 square feet, and the whole process took ~2.5 weeks from when I first messaged to when they finished. I messaged through Yelp on a Saturday, and Daniel called me back on the Monday. Jack came out to provide an estimate the next day, and he brought samples of polished concrete so I could pick a color. He gave me two quotes: one for removing the vinyl and just polishing and one for also pouring self-leveling concrete and polishing that. The estimates were competitive with quotes I had received from others, and he sent them through Quickbooks within hours of meeting. We decided that they would remove the existing floor first so we could get a sense of what just polishing that would look like. They also provided a COI promptly once we decided on this plan. Jack had a three-man crew come out the following Monday. They arrived everyday from 9 am to 9:15 am. Within an hour, they had ripped up the baseboards and vinyl floor. The concrete underneath had bubbles, large cracks, inconsistent coloring, and a large stain from previous water damage. The foreman, Alberto, suggested they just pour new concrete, and I agreed. We got Jack on the phone and went ahead with that plan. The crew did a great job putting up plastic to protect the walls and the limited furniture I had in the unit. They also put up plastic in the building hallways and carefully disposed of all debris. And 7 workdays later, the floor looks great! Would definitely call up Concrete Care again for any remodeling that fits their skills.
