We were responsible for protecting a multi-million dollar property, expensive construction equipment, and ensuring the site remained secure overnight. Ekram's work on our stoop and brownstone was fantastic. We had him do a $11,200 job back in 2019 and it has held up these past six years. However, communication with him now is impossible. One of his employees cemented in our water-meter reader, and we need someone--Ekram, an employee, anyone--to come break it out, or the city is going to fine us. We are reluctant to take a hammer to it ourselves in case we'd damage the beautiful work we paid for. But Ekram will not pick up the phone or respond to emails. Even if he would just write, "I can't do it," then at least we would know, but he just ignores us, and it's been a month with at least four calls and two emails. Maybe he only responds to new jobs that he wants to do. read more

That was three weeks ago and still no proposal, even after I have left numerous phone, text, and email messages. I don't understand his construction lingo, what the job entailed and how he was going to fix the problem. He never showed up to the appointment to explain. My brother just bought a beautiful house in Queens and instead of us doing all the work ourselves and risk hurting ourselves we decided to look for a construction team to help with some labor and more importantly some masonry work to build a beautiful brick fence. On top of that they had a great deal going on as well. You need experts to build an effective fence not just any run of the mill company. There expertise was shown with there effectiveness and their ability to overcome obstacles like the large tree that was slightly in the way. Prompt, hardworking, efficient and honest. If you're from NYC then you've probably seen homes with gorgeous brick work done. For the longest I've been wanting to remove my steel gate and replace it with a brick fence going all around my front yard. To say the least innovation construction work is phenomenal! I received various quotes from different services and I could tell that some of them we're trying to be overpriced and right to my face that is. Luckily I did my research prior to starting anything! Ekram was one of the few that provided a reasonable quote but what made me go with him was the confidence he has when speaking to me and how patient he was with all my questions. I can honestly say I have the best looking front yard in my whole street lol. The brick fence doesn't only have a nice dark brown color but also matches really well with my home and gives us more privacy. Couldn't have chosen a better team then Ekram and his team. My friends have told me some horror stories before about working with flaky contractors or contractors who take advantage of them not knowing anything about construction and charing them a higher price - but our experience was fantastic with this group so I'm really thankful for it! We had our landmark brownstone building completely resurfaced . They had chipped out the old layer of the brownstone facade and from its stoop . Lots of debris removal. And cement work started . There were some waiting periods after the scratch coat . I was given a few samples of the brownstone . And then the work resumed . They restored and brought back all details throughout the completion. Building was washed down and all scaffolding equipment was removed . All looks great, fantastic job.! Besides the fantastic job Ekram and his team did Ekram is really good at communicating the details when planning everything out and doesn't leave you out on anything. The bathroom in my apartment needed some serious help! I hated that I didn't have a tub, didn't have nearly enough cabinets for storage and noticed that mold was starting to grow on the ceiling . It's been a while since I've written a review, but customer service and friendliness are very important to me. Late February (2020) I got home from work and noticed my ceiling and floor was drenched with water ( also I should mention- I love on the last floor of a old Brownstone in Downtown Brooklyn. My landlord was nowhere to be reached and this was something I was not able to be calm about - I did some yelp searching and found this place.... the owner answered all of my questions and made sure I'll be in good hands. They were able to locate the problem on the roof and on a couple of hours- voila!!!! No leaks and everything was back to normal Happy customer and I now have a great business relationship with them. Update - I have to revise my review for the deck. I would actually give them a 2 star review for it. A few months after the deck was finished we had a major water leak into the storage room below the deck, they didn't put any flashing down & the rain poured into the room below. We also had an issue when the deck heated up it would pop up & when we walk on it it makes a really loud noise & is really frustrating. When we let him know about the issues he did come back to fix the flashing but when asked about all the water damage that tilt caused h would probably need to replace the drywall, he said he would help. Instead he out us off for 3 months & when he finally said he would come to fix it he was going to charge us $700 to just paint the room & not do anything about the water damage. When asked about the continual popping he said there was nothing he could do about the bending & popping because he couldn't weld it due to the storage room underneath. Ok, that sucks, but it should only be in 1 area. Now that the deck is a few years old it's popping up everywhere and we will have to get it fixed. So my review is this: they did a great job on my stoop it still looks good after a few years. The deck they did is not great. Everytime I walk on it it's popping & bending & makes a loud racket! And they didn't properly seal it up & had to fix the problem, but wouldn't fix the damage that it caused. read more

I love the Brownstone work that was previously done but I decided it was time for a change... Finding the perfect business to work with and the perfect design was nearly impossible!! I was looking all over Yelp and Google eventually my coworker said that Ekram provides a great service and he sure did! Initially I was going to do a kitchen remodel through Home Depot but after some feedback from friends I decided to go with Innovation after finding them on Yelp and reading the reviews. Turned out to be a really good choice as they did an excellent masonry job in my kitchen, did NOT leave a huge mess for me to clean up and got the job done in-and-out in a very timely manner (which I can always appreciate!). I added masonry work to my kitchen wall for a more organic look to match the exposed brick walls and I couldn't be more pleased at how professional it looks. I think it was a complex situation because the walls are unlevel and the tiling before was a bit wonky. Now I can look at it without getting dizzy. I'm big on customer service and Innovation Construction has definitely proven their worth in that field to me. The response time to receive a quote was spot on under an hour. Now the stucco and exterior painting work which was done on my mother's front steps was a huge hassle. I had a previous company working on this project but the front of my mother's home wasn't looking pleasing. Debris all over the front yard, sloppy work so they were fired and that's where Innovation Construction stepped in and did a better job at a fraction of the cost I was going to pay the first company.
