My roof had been leaking for a very long time, and I mean very long time - years. Other roofers came but I was not sure about them. Not a single one saw anything wrong with the roof. At last I called Verrazano Roofing and Mr. Larry came to give me an estimate. He saw what was wrong. It was during winter of 2020 but it was mild and he told me it could be done. He came with a large crew of employees who were respectful and did the work in a very neat way. Even the hatch was fixed without my asking. They brought two pieces of wood, raised the hatch, put roof material around it and even installed the two locks I had there before. Not that the hatch is more important than the roof but it is important too. They also sealed around the two new skylights which he did not install because I did not know Mr. Larry and his crew were so good at what they do, or I would have bought them from him. The roof was guaranteed for ten years against natural leaks. I think and hope the roof will outlive me. I wish I had money to call Mr. Larry again for other work unrelated to the new, beautiful, kosher roof. Highly recommended. read more

Larry and his team did an amazing job. I noticed my gutters were in pretty bad shape and after almost every storm, it was parting further from the house. Also, I would notice a few pieces of shingles in the driveway every now and then after some rain. I decided to call someone to take a look and get an estimate. I called and politely asked "Hi, I was hoping to get an update on timing for my service today." before I can even say anything more he yells "who is this????" I had a great experience with Larry and his team putting a silicone coating on the aging roof of my Brooklyn brownstone and installing new skylights. Starting from the bid, Larry was more specific and transparent about materials and price than anyone else I spoke to. The team that did the work was quick and professional (and they wore masks). I checked mid project and they did a proper job sealing seams and priming before putting on the coating. They cleaned debris from the glass below the new skylights. (They're cleaner now than they've ever been since I moved in!) The project was done in one day and they cleaned up very well. I've waited a couple months to write this review to see if I had any problems and I've had none. No cracks, no leaks, and the roof looks great (not that it matters for a roof but it's nice to see such careful work). Only two little things I'd mention: once I'd decided to go with Verrazano, it took a little more back and forth and followup on my part to get contracts signed and a date scheduled than I'd have liked. And I've noticed a wire glued down into the coating in one spot that I wish it wasn't, but it's really a minor thing. Overall, as dealing NYC contractors goes, this went really well. My family owns a three story prewar in Fort Greene, and we recently employed Verrazano Roofing when we were having issues with a hatch to our building's roof, as well as a leak seeping into one of our rental units that had recently become very problematic due to the spring season rains.
