I recently made an appointment at New Vision Optometry for a yearly eye exam just a few days before I was scheduled to leave the country. I found them on Yelp while looking for an quality optometrist that was significantly closer to my home than my previous eye Dr. The entire staff is friendly and efficient as can be. The exam rooms are equipped with absolutely state of the art diagnostic machines that were set up more like video games, which made the experience more interesting and quite fun. Dr Nyugen was quite thorough and patient as I asked a lot of questions during the exam. He explained everything and gave me various options in terms of the types of contact lenses they had in stock that matched my needs and preferences preferences. It was a terrific experience, all in all. Tomorrow afternoon I'm getting on a plane to Madrid and I have no worries about my vision. Thanks to everyone at New Vision. read more

We found our perfect family optometry! Making an appointment was super easy and quick. Our family of five was able to get in the following week. When we arrived, we waited no more than 15 min in the waiting room. Diana was super friendly with everyone but especially with the kids. Dr. Nguyen was the best! He was so thorough and patient with all my questions (during the examination and even after via email). I definitely felt that he took pride in this work and cared for his patients. And as for my children (2, 5, and 7yo), they had fun doing their vision tests as well. They met Mr. Purple, Smiley face, and Dinosaur during their examination. In the end, they even got a prize. TL;DR- Personal, Comprehensive, Thoughtful, and Modern. Wife and I found this gem through word of mouth, and we're So glad we came! The front desk staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They answered all of our annoying questions while cheerfully helping us through the process. A staff member took me to a testing room and conducted several tests before seeing the doctor. She (the staff member) was So funny and personable! It felt great to feel so taken care of before even seeing the doctor. Soon enough, I was taken to see Dr. Brian Nguyen. Brian has all the knowledge and care of a seasoned family doctor well beyond his years. He performed his duties efficiently while taking time to thoughtfully explain what's interesting or important. I have high pressure in my eyes, so it was wonderful to have a comprehensive convo on the risks (or non-risks) and factors surrounding this issue. I came away with a very full understanding of what's going on :). Finally, I was shown to the front where I picked out some FANTASTIC new glasses- with the help of another awesome staff member. Dr Choi is hands down the best optometrist I've ever been to. So thorough and patient. I highly recommend her. I have always had dry eyes and she was able to pinpoint why and some at home methods to help with the issue. she was also thorough in figuring out the best balance for prescriptions taking in to account my work environment. I very rarely write reviews, but I had the best experience seeing Dr. Choi today that I felt compelled to share. They spent time making sure all my questions and concerns were throughly addressed. I was having an aversion to wearing my glasses comfortably and Dr. Choi immediately figured out why I was having difficulty. I was a little nervous going in for glasses as it's my first time having them despite having been prescribed glasses in the past, it's always a "hard sell" and they give me headaches. I've worn corrective contacts and glasses since 2008 so I've seen my fair share of optometrists. Stepping into this office, I was greeted by Gaby who was also very helpful and kind over the phone. Dr. Brian Nguyen was informative and walked me through everything. I appreciated him taking his time to talk to me and making sure I understood everything going on with my vision and eye health. Dr. Nguyen was simply amazing with my 8 year old daughter- so patient and kind! He even took time to explain the pictures of her eye and what he was looking at and compared it to the 3D model on his desk- eye exam and anatomy lesson in one! Amazing!
