Loved the shopping experience as they have a wonderful selection of frames. Very helpful staff. Where I was off put was the pick up experience. You have to have an appointment. Okay, no big deal and easy. Picked them up and asked to get them adjusted. That's when it went awry. I figured they'd be experienced and be able to adjust my glasses as I had to have an appointment for pick up. Nope. Save yourself the trouble and get them adjusted elsewhere. They gave it a very valiant effort but execution left a lot to be desired. They didn't break my new glasses but they were not balanced or straight after adjusting. Great taste in frames. read more

I've been with this business for years, contacts, annual exams, glasses. Not just me, my son as well. Also referred people to this business, until this year when they really surprised me with their insane lust for additional charges. They've been holding sample contacts hostage for weeks because I rescheduled an appointment. I can't come in and just collect my samples and get an updated prescription. I have to see the doctor, and then come back for another appointment, and if I dare to reschedule it - $50 charge. I had to call in every day to see whether they can squeeze me in, and when I cancelled an appointment because my dog is not feeling well, and the vet suggested to come in ASAP at the same time, of course my dog comes in first. They wanted to collect this $50, or they wouldn't give me an appointment. All I need is this damned prescription because I already paid $290 for an exam, but never again. So I paid $50, but... They lost my business. Update, after this review was posted, they called me to inform me that they will not be releasing my prescription, which I was waiting months for. Petty move but not surprising. I will get the refund for my exam and $50 fee though so I can start all over again elsewhere. What a joke, avoid them at all cost. read more

I have been coming to this doctor's office for three years now and the doctor herself if a lovely person. Her staff on the other hand has attitude and are not the most personable, thus affecting my rating and their customer service rating. I was furious with their treatment of me on the phone. I made an appointment on a Monday for the following Thursday. My daughter was very ill with Noro virus and I had to stay home with her for two days. I got a call from them on Thursday before the time of my appointment and I apologized and explained my situation for missing my appointment. The woman on the phone was unkind and was not understanding of my situation saying I had to pay $50. I said fine. Okay, my fault, my hands were full but I should've called. I rescheduled for the upcoming Monday. As I am on my way, in the rain, traffic building, coming from the west side, I called 45 minutes before my appointment saying I would be running a bit late because of LA traffic. They said they have a 15 minute policy. That I had to arrive then. I was pulling into the parking lot as I got a call from the office stating that I missed the window and can no longer be seen. I got off the phone, parked walked in and stated I would be taking my business elsewhere. This place is dead, there is no one in the office. I have been to many doctor's offices and optometrists and I know when an office is busy. All are flexible and I've never dealt with this type of service-inflexible, rude front desk staff- who do not how to use their computer to find information. Good luck! read more

walked in to find out if they honored my insurance policy. After confirmation , I agreed to make an appointment. During the appointment process Optician Jaime Flores insisted on me getting a Retina screening right out the bat without waiting for my eye exam results. Which is a $45 dollar charge not covered by insurance. I stated I only wanted a regular eye exam as I was not experiencing any eye problems. There was a young apprentice at the front desk taking my information which took about 20 minutes to complete , just to book an appointment! On top of that I was sent a form to complete online prior to my appointment which took 15 minutes to complete asking for the same information I had provided during appointment visit? Upon my return the following week . I was assisted once again by Jamie Flores whom again reinstated the need for Retina screening for $45. I once again stated I did not needed it . She then replied very rudely "then mark it as you are declining"! I then waited/sat for 20 minutes without my glasses while young apprentice took current prescription glasses data. I then asked Jaime, why is this process taking too long when I had already provided all my information online? She replied with an attitude " this is how we do things here " while rolling her eyes. Then the Doctor finally comes out to conduct the exam. Right off the bat, she seemed irritated based on her demeanor/tone of voice when answering my questions. I then shared with her my frustration with waiting for 20 minutes to be seen by her when clearly there wasn't anyone else ahead of me, when I had already completed personal information requested twice prior to my appointment? She replied in a very snippy and condescending tone" well you can leave if you don't want to wait any longer "! This is how we do things here . I proceeded with exam . I then asked who was the owner of this practice. She replied " I am "! I replied " is this how you treat your customers "? I don't appreciate you asking me to leave , I thought that was very unprofessional! She replied" no, you have the attitude! I then decided to walk out the office without completing the exam. Doctor followed me out the office. As I made my way out of the building. Doctor shouted out loud to Jaime whom was sitting upfront. " there is something wrong with this guy "! I made my way back in and asked for copy of my records, information I had submitted online . Jaime stated it would be emailed . I replied " I would like a paper copy today". Doctor then told Jaime to delete my file altogether . I then asked once again Jaime for copy requested information . Jaime replied " I already deleted "! Doctor then told Jaime to document everything I was saying . I said for what reason? Doctors then replied" are you are threatening me? I have no idea what she meant . I decided to leave without requested information provided. Now I understand the reason why she decided to name her practice "Attitude Optometry "well suited based on my experience! First and last visit to this establishment. I only recently received a par of glasses that nearly immediately suffered manufacture defect (Guess glasses frame). I called to see about remedying the problem as was told I would have to purchase a new frame out of pocket. Apparently, Attitude Optometry doesn't stand behind the products they sell. Glasses like these are a nontrivial spend for most. It's unfortunate that I put my trust in a business named "Attitude Optometry". I guess they fulfilled their brand identity! read more

Took my son here last minute during the holiday break. Luckily they had an appointment open. The staff were so nice. The doctor was so patient and knowledgeable. She answered all of his questions and made him feel heard. They went over directions for his contacts, wrote down instructions and gave a few samples. They even called to check on him! Great place with good customer service and thorough examination. The only thing is their prices are pretty inflated, like a lot of non-discount glasses places in LA. Good with insurance (if yours is like mine - every two years) but one frame with lenses at a time. Was thinking of prescription sunglasses on top of new glasses and found frames from them, but the lenses somewhere else were hundreds less (I do have a complicated progressive prescription). The nicest optometry office I've been to since I was a kid! I'm so happy that others in a Facebook group I'm in recommended this place. Dr. Jennifer Bartolome was so friendly, professional and caring. Unfortunately, my vision got worse (I blame you pandemic for making me WFH and have to be in front of computer 8+ hours a day) but I guess it's to be expected. I also went in with faulty glasses where one leg was loose and crooked. Without me saying anything, when they took my glasses to check the prescription, they fixed it for me too without saying anything before or after fixing it - like a just might as well fix it while I'm at it. Great first visit! The doctor and staff were all terrific and I was very pleased/impressed by how thorough the exam was. The doctor was very helpful answering all my questions. I also appreciate all the help from staff looking at frames. My insurance (Superior Vision National Plan) had a $10 copay for the exam. An optional retina scan (I recommend!) was an additional $45 out of pocket. The staff managed all my expectations well...total time there was 90 mins including time for dilation drops to kick in...which gave me plenty of time to look at frames and get a coffee at Starbucks which is about 20 feet away from them :-) read more

Love the customer service here. Super friendly, and never showed any "attitude" when we had any questions. The lady who helped us was super hospitable and cleaned / tightened my glasses for me. Our doctor was super friendly and professional. All procedures were done very safely, as everything was sanitized. We are so bummed! They no longer can take our insurance. We're seriously considering paying cash to stay with them! This office is amazing. The entire staff is not only helpful, but so friendly. We love the doctor. She's helped us in ways that other doctors couldn't. I had to see eye specialists for an issue and they never could tell me what was wrong and she did so I was finally able to go the specialist and tell them how to do their job. And even when we could no longer go there because of our insurance, they happily provided us our prescription info with no issues. You will not find a better office. read more

I had a great experience here. They are taking every precaution for covid as far as sanitation, and time between scheduled appointments. The optometrist is very knowledgeable and It turns out the prescription I've been wearing is actually a bit too strong for me. The exam was very thorough and she took the time to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend this place. So it's an eye glass store... You go in and you get your eyes checked... Then hopefully you can find a pair of glasses that you like... Or contacts if that's your thing. So basically it's like any other eye glass store... But why the 5 stars then?? Well it's the people... Or rather the staff there. They are extremely helpful and friendly. When I walked in, I was greeted right away and once my eye exam was over and the optometrist went away (she was nice but very much busy only), the rest of her staff took over. And they deserve all the stars. Not only did they answer all the questions I had but they bent over backwards to help me with my old pair of glasses that I didn't buy there. They are definitely more expensive then the optometrist that I went to in KoreaTown but the service here can't be beat. They also have a nice selection of glasses and contacts. They do charge a $50 fee for a trial contacts(includes fitting)... Which I originally thought was a little pricy... But I ended up getting a 1 month pair of contacts and 2 weeks worth of daily contacts as well. And since I don't wear my contacts daily that $50 worth of contacts turned into almost 2 months worth of contacts. So overall for me a good deal. Will I return... Most likely yes... Why? This place is great. I came in for my very first "true" eye exam, meaning it was the first time in 33 years that I didn't cheat. For the last year my vision has progressively gotten worse so it was about time that I be a grown up and just accept whether or not I need glasses. I mistakenly came in too early but they still managed to see me earlier than my appointment. The receptionist, who was also the doctor was super friendly and welcoming. My eye exam went just as I imagined...I need glasses But the exam was very thorough, and only 30 minutes long. The office is super clean and quaint but has a great selection of designer eyewear. Unfortunately my pockets won't let me release $350 for glasses so I decided not to purchase eyewear from there, but if you do desire designer this is a great place to grab your glasses after your exam. I loved my visit so much I arranged both my husband's visit and 3 year old's visit here for the following week. read more

I came to Attitude Optometry about 2 weeks ago to have an eye exam and understand my options for glasses or contacts. I haven't been to the optometrist in about 4ish years so this was a bit stressful since I didn't know how bad my eyes were. I felt extremely comfortable from the moment I walked in. The ladies in the front were extremely organized & helpful - they explained how the eye exam would be and any additional photos I wanted of my eye. They also explained what was covered under my insurance and what would be out of pocket. When I saw Dr. Bartolome the first time, she was very welcoming. I told her this was my first time in a long time coming to the optometrist & she was very informative on what she was doing - she even showed me photos of my eye to explain why the photos were taken and what they represented. Since I was interested in contacts but had never worn them before she explained the differences - daily or monthly. We set up another appointment for me to come back to try on the contacts - she gave me some samples of each plus a contact case & solution. I came back today to get my glasses - which look & fit PERFECT! :) In addition to picking up my glasses, we went over my contacts & what I had liked about each. I was comfortable in my decision to wear monthly for now but switch in some daily's if needed. The whole process was so smooth & comfortable. Somehow, Dr. Bartolome always remembers my name, which blows me away. She also is very attentive and is really good at what she does. These folks are amazing. From the moment I made my appointment to the moment I walked out the door a week later with a new pair of high-end spectacles, I was treated like a good ol' friend of the family. While the selection of frames is limited compared to the big-box stores, the conveniently-located shop is staffed with caring professionals, who get the job done, happily. Lastly, when I was getting my exam, Jamie (female at front desk) was checking the prescription on my existing sunglasses. I love Dr. Bartolome! My husband and I have both been coming here for the last few years and have had constantly good experiences. We both have dry eye issues and Dr. Bartolome has taken her time to explain the available options for management and treatment. She also really cares about making sure you're satisfied with your treatment, prescription, whatever. My lenses on my last new pair of glasses had to be changed out twice - once because I couldn't adapt to the progressive lenses and again when the single-prescription lenses ended up being too strong for one eye. Dr. Bartolome was super understanding and insisted on making sure I was comfortable no matter how many times it took to get it right. I always went to different eye doctors for my check ups until I found Attitude Optometry. This place is so welcoming, the staff are very helpful and generous, and I never dread going in for an appointment even when it entails getting an air puff to the eye. I even came here back in Spring after a concussion to get my vision checked and ensure my eyeballs were not totally bruised in the flag football accident. I feel like I can really trust this place!
