I took time off work to come to my appointment for a 10am weekday appointment. My appointment was 20+ minutes overdue while the doctor was "busy" chatting and laughing in the exam room, taking his merry ass time, with the patient prior to me. I am not an impatient person and I'm generally reasonable with these kind of things, but I really feel like the office does not respect their clients' schedules. The front desk staff could care less and did not bother to check how long it would be until I could go in. The one lady at the desk would not even physically face me when I asked if there was anything she could do to get an update. The exam rooms are partitioned by short walls and you can hear what's going on inside. At this point, I could hear the conversation where the exam seemed to have finished a while ago, but the doc seemed to be having a fun time chatting with the patient, taking his merry time without any regard for the next patient waiting which is incredibly inconsiderate. During the wait for my overdue appointment, I ended up calling my old optometrist and locked in an appointment with them the same afternoon. I was dealing with an eye infection and I did not want to put my trust in the hands of a an inconsiderate doctor and rude front desk staff. Oh yeah and parking is a nightmare. They don't have a parking lot, and it's located on prime Ventura Blvd, one of the busiest streets in the valley. I wasted my valuable time & money for metered parking only to go home without getting my eye infection treated - woo hoo. read more

Wow what a scam! I walked in today being lured in by a huge board outside that said "20% off sunglasses" which I needed so I went in. I chose a pair and paid with a credit card. The woman handed me a FORM to fill out. I asked why I should fill this out to which she said " oh it's because you're using credit card" so I simply put my name and date. My credit card went through, I signed it and the purchase was completed. I assumed it was over and then she asked for my ID "because you used a credit card," I was shocked since the transaction was over but nonetheless handed her my drivers license, she looked at it, then took it and started to MAKE A COPY! I said "excuse me what are you doing? I did not give you permission to copy my drivers license" to which she gave the same dumb, shady reply again about the fact that I used a credit card. She showed me that my drivers license was now in their system and I could speak With the optometrist. Excuse me?! I'm not a patient! I walked in to buy sunglasses! From being greeted by the ladies at the front who are always ready to make you feel welcome and comfortable, to Dr. Rabbani who is extremely thorough and as intelligent as it gets. My husband and I have never had a prescription that fits us better than the one we were prescribed by Dr. rabbani. They have a great range of frames and they don't try to sell you the most expensive pair of glasses (we did that ourselves because wait until you see the options). Truly a great experience. This was the worst experience I've ever had at an optometrist office. Dr. Rabbani is creepy, sits way too close during the ENITRE examination, very touchy patting his hand on my shoulder & at one point even putting his hand on my knee. I missed a business meeting due to him being chatty unnecessary conversation. The staff there is rude & incompetent. Explaining to me that they could swap out my old prescription & put into my new frames if I just take my old glasses to them. The Manager Corina over charged for services on my billing & when I had an issue with the prescription that Dr. Rabbabi prescribed she was completely unhelpful. She was argumentative over the phone, not listening to what I had to say, she was speaking as if she was superior to me (a paying customer) in a condescending manner. She refused to refund my insurance for the INCORRECT prescription that Dr. Rabbabi prescribed me. I will never refer anyone to this place. Save yourself time, money & the headache. If you want a good quality prescription, go to LensCrafters. They are quick, professional & will have your prescription ready within the same day oh and they don't over charge you like these scammers do! I will be filing a complaint with the Board of optometry and taking this to small claims, simply for the principle of the matter. read more

I visited here with a friend, and was so charmed by the selection of frames, the attentiveness and knowledge of the staff and the calming ambiance that I made an appointment on the spot. Dr. Rabbani is very attentive, he actually LISTENS to your concerns and addresses every single one of them. I have never felt more comfortable, or less rushed. I never felt as though I was being rushed through my exam, or pushed out of the office to make way for the next patient. I had to go back the next night for a second eye exam it turns out (I was suffering from extreme eye strain and having trouble with my exam). They were able to fit me in at the last minute, and even though the office closes at 6 on Fridays, when I left at close to 8pm, Dr. Rabbani still had another patient to see. Total devotion to his practice. And lets talk about the office for a minute. HUGE jars of candy everywhere, a flat screen TV in the waiting area with a selection of movies to choose from, a children's play area, and yummy lemonade in champagne glasses. They carry some of the most unique frames I have ever seen. Frames that are made with 5mm film, intricate filigree, wild colors and some made completely out of recycled materials, like the ones I chose. Dayana will explain all of your options to you, and make sure you get the best deal on the best frame and lens(es). And she is also a MASTER at adjusting frames. She has the magic touch, I swear. I had a pair of computer glasses made for me out of an old frame that I had had a lot of trouble getting adjusted in the past, and in 30 seconds, she had them perfectly adjusted for me. No pliers, heating or special tools. A-mazing. This is by far my best experience at an optometrist/optical boutique. Thank you Eye Candy. You rock! read more

I had lots of great appointments with Dr. Rabanni across three locations. He seems to be a careful, judicious practitioner. He curates the visual experience of his offices very well. He invests in the latest equipment to keep his craft on the cutting edge. He is thorough and tries to leave no stone un-turned in arriving at the correct diagnosis. However, I will remove one star because I'm simply not able to get in contact with Eye Candy Optometry at all during the pandemic. Perhaps I stumbled onto a secret "ignore" list because of the two antelope horns growing out of my head (just kidding), but my guess is there's some clerical snafu. I sadly had to switch to a different practitioner. This is regrettable and may be a staffing issue beyond Dr. Rabanni's control. I will fondly remember the diligent, focused, knowledgeable and thoughtful care Dr. Rabanni provided me from 2008 to 2016. This is a cute boutique shop with a fun selection of glasses. But once you make the purchase, the customer service and experience going forward is an epic FAIL. If I could offer you one piece of advice: run, do not waste your money here. I found this great pair of glasses, and they told me it would be 2-3 weeks. Okay, that's fine. But after 3 weeks I had to call them to ask where the glasses were. They didn't know and said they would call back. They called back right away, to tell me that everyone at the company was away at a trade show and so it would take another 7-10 days. No apology, nothing. They didn't even notice my order was missing. Unacceptable, and who runs their company like this and ignores incoming orders for 3 weeks. After 10 more days, I call again. "Oh yeah sorry, they're still not in, but we'll do a rush order." Okay so now it's a rush order. Once the frames came in it was another 3 days for lenses. Once again, no apology. I guess this is standard business for them. Finally 2 days shy of 6 weeks, they call to say my glasses arrived. I go into the store and the girl behind the counter pulls out this cute gift bag with my glasses and says thank you and walks away. Um, isn't anyone going to see if they fit or are the right Rx. Any follow up? Apology? Customer Service? Okay I'm on my own. So I told the girl to stay there while I try them on, I go to a mirror and put the glasses on, I said that they felt kinda tight. She said that I wasn't used to them yet, but if they feel tight in a few weeks come back to have them adjusted. Like hell I'm setting foot in here again. Just want to warn everyone else what a disaster this place is. I should have paid 1/4 the price and gotten better service at Costco or LensCrafters. read more

Wow, wow, wow. I am so happy I found Eye Candy and Dr. Rabbani! I have never had such a fantastic experience at a Dr.'s office before. Dr. Rabbani was patient, attentive and caring. He spent a LOT of time with me and really made sure my new prescription was right. He asked a gillion questions about me, my health, any issues I might be having, any issues family members have had, etc., but it wasn't intrusive, it was all in the quest to make sure my eyes were healthy. Kudos to his staff as well. When it came time to pick some new frames out, they also spent tons of time with me, leading me to options they thought might work, offering great insight and advice, and just being all around super. They also made sure that I understood the pricing, what my insurance covered, and what it didn't. My trip to Eye Candy Optometry was EXCELLENT. This was the best exam I've ever had from any kind of specialist/doctor, ever. Dr. Rabbani was attentive, entertained all of our questions, and thoroughly explained everything. The young lady who helped us pick out our frames was very courteous and explained all of our frame and lens options in-depth. The price of our glasses after insurance was still more expensive than what we have paid in the past, but I feel like we got frames superior to anything we've ever worn before.
