I love this office. I bring both of my daughters here, as well as myself. The office staff is always really friendly and everyone has a sense of urgency, I really appreciate that. They never make us wait long- finally an office that respects appointment times. The doctor herself is so sweet, and always takes her time answering all of my questions & addressing my concerns. We also have seen the male doctor, he did my youngest daughters eye exam and he was able to help my nervous child through it all, he made her feel safe! Both of my children (5 & 16) like coming here, the staff is always joking around with them and over all we always have a good time during our appointments. I've had to email them a few times for charts/prescriptions too, and they always respond within minutes. We've been patients for 3 years and hope to stay with the Moore Optometry family :)

Had an appointment, arrived early to fill out the paperwork and they denied to see me because I answered yes to the question that asks if I have tested positive or have been around someone with COVID-19. I responded yes and explained it was two months ago. Even though my temperature read 97 and I have no symptoms, They said that I need to provide them with a secondary recent negative test result from 1 week or less before my appointment to be able to be seen by them for their safety. I work in the medical field and I am OFTEN around patients taking care of them. Per CDC Rule If there are no symptoms they are not testing you and it requires 10 days of quarantine if you have tested positive for COVID-19. ON TOP OF THE REFUSAL TO SEE ME, they closed the window on me and I asked what is the doctors name that is there who refused to see me and the doctor or staff threw the card at me through a slit from the wooden window. MOORE WAS NOT IN THE OFFICE WORKING TODAY. They refused to provide me with the doctors name who was currently working in the office as a practitioner covering for MOORE. Eventually I said if they don't give me her name and license number I will call the police. I started dialing the police then right away they threw a card at me. The card only says HUANG. I am under the impression HUANG does not have proper licensing to work there or some kind of scam with insurances is going on within their office because they were refusing to give me HUANGS name. THERE IS NO REASON TO HIDE HER IDENTITY IF THERE IS NO FRAUD GOING ON. They did not even have the courtesy to open the window after I knocked claiming I banged (which is not true) I knocked louder the third time because no one was responding. Ignorance when it comes to COVID-19 from front line care workers is extremely disappointing. Anyone could walk in positive and asymptomatic without them knowing and they will be seen by doctors. TO MOORE AND STAFF - YOU HAVE YOUR PPE'S FOR THE PROTECTION OF ANY VIRUS AND DISEASE. IF YOU FEEL UNSAFE TO WORK AROUND PEOPLE DO NOT WORK IN THE MEDICAL FIELD. IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU NEED TO SEND SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN AROUND COVID-19 TWO MONTHS AGO TO GET RETESTED THEN YOU NEED TO SEND EVERYBODY TO GO GET TESTED BEFORE THEY SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT AND COME TO YOUR OFFICE!!! YOU RETURN PATIENTS HOME ONLY IF THEY HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT/TRAVEL UNDER 10 DAYS, HAVE SYMPTOMS, OR READ A TEMPERATURE ABOVE 100.4! AND EVEN THEN PATIENTS DON'T NEED TO GO TEST, THEY MUST QUARANTINE!! YOUR GUIDELINES ARE IGNORANT!!! Will be contacting the board of optometrist.

Kind and friendly staff. Parts of the office are a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Knowledgeable and professional.

I recently went to this optical place for an eye exam without insurance, and they told me I needed…read moreglasses, so I trusted their judgment and spent $600 on a pair. After waiting three long weeks for them to arrive, everything looked blurry and wrong the moment I put them on. When I returned to the store hoping for a refund, they flatly refused--no returns, no money back. Instead, they suggested I pay out of pocket for another exam as a "second opinion," with the vague promise they might help afterward. Frustrated but determined, I did exactly that with a different doctor, who confirmed I don't need any prescription at all. I sent them the new report as proof, expecting a full refund, but they still wouldn't budge. Their only concession was to let me turn the unnecessary glasses into sunglasses for a credit. With no other options left, I reluctantly took them up on that offer--only for it to drag on another three weeks with the glasses still not returned to me. It's obvious their initial exam was inaccurate, their staff refused to take responsibility, and corporate clearly doesn't care enough to make it right. I won't be going back, and I'd strongly advise anyone else to steer clear unless you're okay with the very real risk of being misled, overcharged, and left with no resolution.

However, after my experience from my last appointment, I'll have to look for a different place for future eye care needs. During my last appointment, my optician, Jennifer, provided incorrect information about the rewards/rebates I'd receive for my contact lens order. I specifically mentioned that my purchase (6 months' worth vs. 12 months' worth) depends on my net out-of-pocket cost. It turns out I'm not receiving anything close to the amount of rewards/rebates that the optician said I would receive, so I ended up paying a lot more for contact lenses than I normally would have. I've called and messaged the office and tried reaching the optician multiple times since late March. I even tried calling the general manager and left a voicemail, but received no response. I finally managed to connect with the optician once over the phone and once via email in mid-April; I haven't heard back from her since, despite following up on the status of my issue every week. After over a month of trying to resolve this issue, no real progress has been made. I spent about $100 more than I should have, and I'm disappointed by both the misinformation and lack of communication.

I went back about three times and saw four different technicians for adjustments. Mr. Matthew Park was the last person who assisted me, and he truly stood out. He was patient, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. He even remade my lenses at no charge and put in a great deal of effort to ensure I was satisfied. I went back once more for another adjustment, and now they feel almost perfect. If you're someone who's hard to please or have a more challenging case, I highly recommend asking for Mr. Park. He clearly knows what he's doing and goes above and beyond to help--without ever showing frustration.

What really stood out was how clearly and patiently she explained everything... what she was looking for, what the results meant, and how it all connects to long-term eye health. It's rare to find a doctor who is both very knowledgeable and genuinely takes the time to educate their patients. Highly recommend if you're looking for someone who truly cares about your eye health. The amazing and extensive selection of frames was definitely an added bonus!

My toddler daughter needed glasses and we already had a prescription from her pediatric Ophthalmologist. I was searching for a place closer to home that carried toddler frames, because the recommendations from her pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Dohney eye institute in Pasadena were all in SGV. I called New Vision specifically asking about frames for my 20-month old and after being satisfied with their answers, made an appointment. However, their selection was disappointing and they didn't have the strap-on toddler frames, as I was told on the phone. I went with the only viable option reluctantly because I wanted to get the glasses and didn't want to waste more time. I gave them the prescription (in paper form) and they had trouble with their scanner so told me they'd give it back to me when we picked up the glasses. I asked if my daughter needed to be present, and they said yes. When glasses were ready, they texted me at 3:48 Friday asking me to make an appointment, and said they were closing at 4:15 and reopened on Monday. Had I been notified even a couple hours earlier, I could have rearranged my schedule instead of waiting until Monday. So that was disappointing. Finally when picking them up, my daughter tried them on but they didn't really do anything else so not sure why my daughter needed to be present or why I needed to make an appointment. And they also didn't have the paper prescription that I had been promised. The person giving me the glasses made zero effort and just told me how easy it is to request it again from the ophthalmologist office. I obviously know this. This just underscored to me that things aren't communicated properly about patient requests.
