I can't say enough things about hye optic. This review is overdue as I've been coming here for over 10 years. I have a very high prescription, and they have always cut the pricing of other places such as lens crafters. They've turned sunglasses into prescription reading glasses for me, and even when i bought an expensive Prada frame for a $1k, there's literally no other place i would trust to handle them. I went in the other day cos i bent them up bad from accidentally sitting on them. As well as another pair that was missing a nose pad and needed to be realigned. After they were finished making them all brand new, i asked to pay, and they said please don't worry about it. I know it was a simple fix, but i still appreciate people's time and good service. They refused for me to pay. Anyway, it's that kind of place. Family owned. They're always friendly and have a great sense of humor and they also have a great designer selection of frames to choose from and they do their best to give u a speedy service of getting your glasses back. I've been dying to try on some Cazqls after having the same pair of tom fords for over a decade - Emmanuel and Joy took the time to ask the Cazal rep to meet me and I got to peruse 2 giant trunks of glasses all on my own. I really hate when a business does something wrong and doesn't admit it. I took a brand new pair of Thom Brown glasses to have my corrected lens put it. I tried them on there and they complimented me on the way they looked on my face. When I return to get them with my lens in I noticed that they didn't feel the same. I ask the lady who was helping me to adjust them and she said that someone had weld incorrect and I should take them back where I purchased them. I explained that they weren't like that when I initially brought them in. She just looked at me and said they didn't do it. I assured her again that they weren't like this when I initially gave them to put I my corrected lens. I'm very disappointed. I've used them several times before with no problems. read more

Fantastic shop. I had two pairs of glasses and one pair of sunglasses set with new prescriptions here. FYI, I am super anal and freak out over the slightest imperfections. Happy to say that all three pairs came out meticulously. In fact, at Emmanuel's recommendation I went with a thinner lens that made my glasses lighter and alleviated my headaches. Manny is super nice and very specific on when you should expect the order to be completed. Finally, the price, as excepted is quite reasonable. It seemed that all of the optical boutiques had the same ugly boring expensive wire frames! I don't recall how I found Hye but upon first visit-Eureka! Like Westside, they have a fabulous selection of classic to vintage and avant-garde frames. It's a family run business by brother Emmanuel who has an on the premises optical lab using laser technology and the lovely sisters.
