I remember that exact same seat where I struggled to put on my first pair of contacts, to getting my glasses fixed, and continuously coming in as an adult. At IB, they provide the coffee as well. At this spot, I brought my own frames with me -- no problem -- and just ordered the lenses (about $100). They will mad dog you to accept their lens enhancements, anti-glare treatments and coatings -- be strong and say (ah-ni, "no") as the smart money says they add nothing to the lens experience (and make the lenses so hard to clean). The sprawling IB mini-mall on Western is somewhat of a flop, but don't let that deter you. IB Optical is a hit, with friendly staff and plenty of frames (including the super high end that KPop stars wear, as well as super cheapie ones) to tempt you. English is spoken by all. Guys do make passes at folks who wear glasses. See U there!

I had a horrible experience when I called in (on 20th May at 1:28PM, in case the management would like to take note) to get a new appointment. I almost decided to cancel based on my talk with this receptionist. Extremely disinterested and talking as if every word is a huge burden. Towards the end, I asked for her name and she realized she was probably in trouble and cut the call. I tried calling twice immediately. The second time she picked up and cut the call. I am now left with a few questions about my appointment unanswered. Extremely unprofessional. I was going to provide this place with additional business given the in house lens fabrication, however, with this type of service I'm looking to go elsewhere.

This little shop has a wide variety of frames to choose from - I came out with 4 options in mind and need to come back to make a final decision (although I'm tempted to get all 4 haha). I was helped by Amy who is so knowledgeable about eye wear and helped me pick frames that fit my face and that can hold my strong prescription. She's very patient and not pushy at all. They do not accept insurance but their prices are not too bad at all so definitely come check this place out and see what you can find!

Today they changed my scratched up lenses in my Oliver People's sunglasses. I bought them here at least a decade ago! Here's the thing, when you buy quality it lasts, and personally I tend not to loose them. If you are a spectaphile, or eyewear enthusiast, get on the mailing list, they regularly have trunk show with amazing brands that you won't find elsewhere.
