1. The optometrist gave me a 10 minute lecture on how I shouldn't wear contacts because of the higher risk of getting covid, then bragged about not ever having covid because he only wears glasses. 2. It then took over two weeks to get my contact lens prescription after my exam, because the same optometrist got covid! Which means he exposed me and didn't notify me. I only know this because I hounded his office, and called multiple times because I can't see without my prescription and they finally admitted they couldn't get me a prescription until after the doc was clear of covid. Ridiculous. 3. I asked them to email me a copy, they assured me they would immediately and and clearly forgot. I then emailed and left 3 voicemails in which they finally emailed it to me but no acknowledgement of dropping the ball. I've had better customer service at Target. I've never written a bad review for a business until now. Worst optometrist experience ever. read more

Pretty bad service right from the beginning. As soon as they found out I was only purchasing glasses my insurance would cover zero interest in genuinely helping me find proper glasses. Car salesmen are more discreet in how they treat people. I should have blown them up on my social media to really get the word out. For now this will do. Everything btw is totally overpriced. Service is terrible unless you don't care about throwing money away and getting only positive comments if you're trying on expensive frames. I walked in with a pair of glasses that had a broken arm. I asked the woman working what we could do. She didn't offer any help, just said, "these are broken. There's nothing you can do except buy a new pair of glasses." (She said this smugly, mind you, while I was clearly upset because these are my favorite frames.) I knew this wasn't true, so I went across the street to a different eye store. The guy there offered to fix my frames free of charge. I came here over a year ago to get my eyes checked and get new glasses. I pretty much only need glasses at night, as I can't see with the glaring of lights. I am far sighted and my vision is only slightly off and has been the same prescription my whole life... With that being said, when I came here, the doctor gave me a totally different prescription and it was way worse than what I usually am. I thought my eyes must have gotten worse so I ordered glasses with them. When I received them, they were super blurry. I called and let them know and they had me come in and check them once more. The doctor said the prescription was the same and maybe it was their lab. So they sent them back and had them remade. When I got them back they were still super blurry. The doctor told me that I need to give my eyes time to adjust, so I tried. I just stopped wearing them after a few weeks because I felt like they made my eyes go cross eyed. I just got back from an appointment at LensCrafters a year later... and this doctor gave me the same prescription I usually get. In my opinion and personal experience... search elsewhere for your optometrist. This place has extremely outdated gear and there are much better equipped doctors in LA. Beware of this place!!!!!!! If I could give it Minus Zero I would. I had an appointment with them today, when they saw me I felt the Racism in their blood! They took all the white folks ahead of me and told me to wait outside, Rude, obnoxious, attitude, Judgmental , Racist Racist, I am biracial and did not look the blonde blue eyes they wanted. I called my insurance and complained about their horrible customer service. They must be doing well in this hard times to be able to choose their stereotypes . Found this place through a Groupon campaign. Was a tad difficult to make an appointment, as they hours of business had changed - and no one bothered to correct their voice mail/ web site/ Groupon, which all seemed to have different information. Once we arrived everything was smooth - and the eye exam and the care the doctor put into this was exceptional. We really took his time to explain this and he did by far exceed my expectation, Groupon or full pay, so I would have given him six stars. Now, the Groupon covered the eye exam - and a $150 coupon for a frame. Now, I do not believe in the tooth fairy - and these guys need to make a living too. However, the sales guy try to... "sell" me into buying a (very nice) $379 Perisol that sells everywhere for $200 or less - and the really disheartening point was that he was bragging he would sell below costs bla bla bla. In all honesty, while we were a bit confused that all frames were locked behind glass in what we thought was a neighborhood where this seemed a bit over the top, and found the selection rather small (my wife longed for frameless glass, they did not have anything to offer), I would advise to change the strategy. Do not fool the people. We were really interested to buy - and you lost the both of us. If it was not for the doctor, I would have given two stars or maybe even less. A shame really for an otherwise nice store with an extraordinary deal for the doctors service. read more

My sunglasses were ready way ahead of the predicted delivery and they were perfect and did not need a single adjustment. Progressive lenses can be tricky and you need perfection! Raymond was very thorough and exacting with my insurance and it was seamless. Your eyes are critical and it needs to be exact every time! Every experience here has been this way. read more

It's unfortunate that one person can warrant a bad review when you're dealing with a small practice, but I did leave a message for the doctor a few weeks ago but he never called back. I believe his name is Raymond and he sizes you for your prescription glasses, it seems every time I see him he progressively gets worse. The last time I was there, it was recommended to get the farsighted progressives because I told the doctor that driving and attempting to look at the navigation was very scary so I spent hundreds of dollars on a new pair (I even brought in my own frames). Raymond suggested that I get another pair of readers since the insurance covered it. I picked out a pair but he pointed out a different pair (that I approved of) but I told him they were loose on me. His response was who cares you're just going to be using them for reading. Unfortunately these are my primary glasses now because I can't see through the new progressives on my computer without blur. It sucks because they constantly slip & sometimes give me headaches. He is argumentative & dismissive. I always feel rushed to make decisions.. but more pressing than all that is his sketchy side hustle. He has told me if I wanted a certain pair of glasses, just to give him the cash and he'll make it happen. So I came here a few months ago to get glasses. Settled for the Groupon deal and for the $150 glasses paid a total of $300 for everything. My glasses started to peel so they called me back in to replace the glasses. I went in and they replaced the frames and guaranteed me this wouldn't happen again. A few weeks later my glasses started to peel again. When they replaced the glasses the lady didn't clean them so the new frame had dirt around the lenses. This was a waste of time and a waste of money. Won't be coming here or recommending anyone here. I spent $300 for cheap looking glasses and now they are peeled (look at the picture) I didn't leave them in the car or anywhere with heat and even if I did this shouldn't be happening. Extremely disappointed. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars was because they tried to fix it by replacing the lens. read more

TLDR; highly recommend for eye exam (Dr. Avedian is the best), but do not buy eyeglasses here! Dr. Avedian is phenomenal (best optometrist I've ever visited). But the quality of the eyeglass lenses and service provided by non-optometrist staff is terrible. The coating on my glasses was poorly done and the staff did not fit the glasses to my face when I picked them up. I took them to another eyeglasses store to be adjusted -- the first comment they made was that whoever sold these glasses to me should be fired! read more

Their eye exams and quality of lenses is top notch. I can't give more stars because their selection of frames is not varied enough. They also make it difficult to get a copy of your full prescription. I always ordered my first pair here and went elsewhere for a cheaper backup pair but I don't appreciate getting the run-around on a full print out of my exam so will probably not return. read more

I needed to get a pair of glasses, which during a pandemic is easier said than done. Every place required an appointment and after calling around, Valley Eye Professionals was able to squeeze me in. I picked my frames and after picking them up 10 days later, I realized that I made a mistake and was not completely happy with them. In any other situation I would own my mistake, but something you plan on wearing on your face every day is a little different. I went back in, was able to find a pair that I was more sure about and they kindly processed an exchange for me. I'm now very happy with my new glasses and appreciate the flexibility Valley Eye Professionals was able to show me. I'll definitely revisit them for my next pair. read more
