She walked me through what each test is meant to determine and what my results meant. Had my first visit to ER Optometry yesterday for an eye exam and had a great experience. The staff are very friendly and Dr Sami was excellent. She was thorough and evaluated the image of my eyes w me and explained the results in detail. One cool service is the ability to have a laser scan taken of the eyes instead of having to have your eyes dilated and wait before you can be seen and don't have to wear dopey blue blockers on the drive home! The only thing this place has going for them is the really nice receptionist who is an absolute sweetheart. The doctor is rude and incompetent she must have gotten her degree out of a cereal box. Im autistic so I like to ask a few questions that neurotypical people would not ask, this is usually perceived as me being passive aggressive or undermining their authority or at least that's what Google says i don't understand how me asking questions can be perceived as being rude............ what i can perceive as rude is telling me how long you have had you're degree for because you can't handle answering a few simple questions. Apparently me asking said questions made her have to spend a few more minutes than she had allocated for on my appointment so it was at about this time that the doctor who for the most part had been pleasant up to this point had a complete crash out screaming about how much more time she's spending on my appointment and how grateful i should be because of it. I'd like to point out that we had only been there for 30 minutes and 15 of that was waiting for her to arrive to her office since she was late, also its not like there was anyone else waiting for their appointment in the waiting room she probably just wanted some time to herself to nurse the hangover that she appeared to have (of course I can't confirm she had a hangover but thats exactly what it looked like to me and it was a Monday morning). Also we had come in for just a new pair of lens but the doctor tried at least 4 times to upsell us one of their expensive overpriced frames. And when I picked up my glasses they just handed me my glasses without a case (i guess you only get a case if you purchase frames) so of course they had a huge scratch on them and for some reason the prescription was making me dizzy. So the doctor did another test (you know like the same one she was so rudely going on about how she took so much extra time on........if it took so much extra time then why is the prescription wrong?). After getting them back a for the second time they still make me dizzy and to top it all off i can see better with my old prescription from 7 years ago. I asked for a refund and was told thats not possible so now im out 150$ because of the complete incompetence of this so called "eye doctor" who doesn't even know who The doctor is (she is so out of touch with reality I had to explain my doctor who shirt to her). So in conclusion no i wasn't questioning your credentials when i was just simply asking questions at my first appointment............... but I AM MOST DEFINITELY QUESTIONING THEM NOW!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE: apparently they are also liars since they are commenting on my review denying that it was them. I Double checked and yes it most definitely was your business you have the raised parking lot outside that's a bit higher than your ground floor and are very kid friendly or at least thats how you try to present yourselves with the toys on the walls for the kids and all that (thats actually the reason I chose this place because if the are kid friendly I thought they would be aware of people with autisms struggles) but if that's how you're doctor speaks to an autistic adult just asking questions i could only imagine how you would react to a curious child asking questions or god forbid a curious autistic child. Also the doctor that had her crash out is the woman on the right in the commenters profile pic........smh just own up to your mistakes and do better next time. I suggest having all your employees undergo mandatory autism awareness training, except for your sweetheart receptionist she could probably actually teach the class. read more

The office is very nice and the staff is very friendly. I'm giving 2 starts because I brought my own frames to add my new prescription to them. On day 10 after dropping them off I received a call saying they'd accidentally broken the frames and I'd have to come in to pick up a new frame. It took 10 business days to actually start working on my glasses? I was cool about it and went in to get a new frame. 7 business days later I call to check if my glasses are ready. I'm told they've arrived so I head in. Now I'm told the wrong prescription was added to my new frames and they have to send them back to have the correct prescription put in. This has not been a good experience. They need to find a better place to send their stuff or they'll lose some customers. Sad to say I'm going back to my old place. read more

I didn't even get the name of the Dr/technician that helped me. Realize it might've been the owner. Moved to the area not too long ago, and had glasses from a previous optometry center. Just about to have another baby, when my toddler pops the lenses out of my current frame. Was scrambling to get them fixed so I'll be able to have them when I go into labor. I walked in, the Dr/owner took them back and fixed them on the spot. When I asked how much, she just said bring my toddler to say hi and wished me a safe delivery. Just wanted to leave a positive review about a business run by amazing humans which seems so hard to find these days. Will definitely be coming back when it's time for my next eye exam. My partner and I visited for our annual eye exam and were so pleased with our experience! Dr. Omidghamei was so sweet, warm, knowledgeable, and thorough with our annual eye exam and gave us so much insight on our eye issues. The eye technician who gave us initial exams was also very professional and efficient. The office manager emailed us our Rx and itemized receipt after our visit, same day. We didn't get to review their eyewear selection because we had a busy day ahead but it appears they have a decent brand name selection. Very clean and modern equipment and facility. I recently switched to Dr Omidghaemi at Eagle Rock Optometry. The location is convenient and I was able to quickly get an appointment. I have been wearing glasses or contacts for almost 30 years and Dr Omidghaemi is the best optometrist I have seen. She is friendly, caring, easy to talk to, and helped me to get the right glasses and contacts. The office has been very accommodating for scheduling and I haven't had to wait for any appointments. After reading all the 5 star reviews for Eagle Rock optometry I thought the experience would be top notch. However, there were so many missteps since my first exam back in June 2022. The Dr changed my prescription but never gave me any insight as to why that happened. Trials came in for me but NO ONE from the office called me to inform me they arrived. She also had me try a new brand of contacts that are double the cost of my previous lens claiming they're better but they weren't. I tried to speak with the DR and after calling 3x to ask why she didn't return my call, she finally did. I was very calm with all the associates because nothing is ever resolved by yelling but this place is really upsetting. Finally after deciding to place a year supply of contacts and paying for it upfront, I was faced with more delays, no follow ups, and me constantly chasing for answers. I'm very empathetic and understand there are supply chain issues but they should not have charged me full price then leave me to wait weeks. Literal weeks I paid 12/8 and just picked up my contacts 12/22. Also, I was supposed to receive a pair of trials for the year supply.... no trials came, nor was I given any information about the rebate. I had to ask again for the information. If you want a place that is diligent and cares about their customers, do not come here. They will leave you more confused than ever and take zero accountability. read more

This was my first time Eagle Rock Optometry. I am happy I was able to find an eye Dr. so much closer to my home who was so wonderful and caring. Dr. Omid was very detailed in her examination. My family has a history of Glacoma so I need regular check up these day. The office was also so nice and inviting. The glasses selection was awesome. I bought some sun glasses for my trip and my next visit I'll get new frames since they didn't have the one I have been looking for. Seems it should arrive in a couple weeks. I brought my 5-year old here for her first eye exam, and the doctor here made her feel so comfortable. She was thorough, answered all of my millions of questions, and just made us feel very comfortable. My daughter felt scared and cried at times, the doctor handled it perfectly, she would instantly laugh or calm down. We will be back. We didn't end up buying frames, only because we wanted to look around a bit more, this was my daughters first time trying on glasses. Highly recommend this place for pediatric eye exams.
