I've used them twice. Well officially once and trued for the second time but was greatly disappointed. When I moved into my house I had major issues with crazy high water bills. Constant battle with the city of houston with defective water meters they refuse to fix. I called NewGen to do an inspection of the property. Three guys came out and did an inspection. They were fast and efficient. Now to this week. I called them Sunday to schedule an appointment for a backed up kitchen sink. They said we could do Tuesday from 1-2. I work from home so cleared calendar for them. No call no show. Reached out at 3pm for update. They told me tech was delayed due to first appointment being big job. I told them not calling to inform me was really not a good look. They apologized and said they would try to get someone to come later today or tomorrow. No one came that day. They texted today and said they would try to find someone to come but def no guarantee. I told them I would use someone else due to how this was handled. While I understand they have a couple guys out this week they accepted an appointment they knew they couldn't deliver on. Don't overbook and under deliver. Easiest way to destroy your business. They only get 3 stars due to the first interaction. If it was based on this week alone it would be 1. Based on how they are operating now I highly advise you to avoid them. read more

First, let me start off by saying the first experience I had with these guys using Sixto was great. Came on time, and resolved my issue promptly and professionally. I had decided to use New Gen Plumbing again for another job and was working with Hector to get scheduling done. They failed to show up on the original requested date and offered to come later in the day which I agreed upon with Hector. Later that day I got another text from Hector stating that they can now longer come that day. Great.... They offered to reschedule me a week later and I agreed to a morning window which was clearly communicated and verified by Hector. That morning no one shows up and I get zero communication from either Hector or the technician. Having experienced two no shows with little to no communication the day of I would NOT RECOMMEND using Next Gen Plumbing. Extremely unprofessional to commit to time slots (multiple times) and not show up. As someone with a strict work schedule who has to plan around these types of activities to then be no showed is unacceptable. The sinks and toilet project was done and they expected the additional project to take 2 days. The 2 guys who came to excavate worked so hard and it was hot!!! They got it dug out and repaired all in one day. They were going to change out the kitchen faucet for me and of course found issues (the house is 60 years old) with pipes and they got it completed same day. The man doing the backfill took care of 85% of it same day and was back the next day to complete it. Sent out bids via YELP for replacing my 2 (two) 40 gallon short water heaters in a cramp attic space. Bids varied from 4200 down to 3000 total. Felix at New Gen was not only competitive but fast and efficient. He has a team of 4 people that work well. Took 3 hours to complete. My recommendation DONOT do this yourself.
