We had a whole-house softener/filtration system installed by Texas Water Softeners back in 2016 and had a great experience with the installation. Fast forward 3 years later, suddenly the system was continuously cycling one day and we called to have a technician come figure out what was going on. Called on a Thursday, said they would be in our area on Monday and made an appointment, a little bummed we would have to wait through the weekend but understood they were surely busy. Suddenly on Friday - the very next day, my phone rang and then my doorbell rang to find the technician there early because they had a cancellation! VERY pleasant surprise! He figured out the problem but needed a part and said if they had one he would be back the same day. He ended up not being able to make it back on Friday because the part he picked up was missing the o-ring and said he would try to come back on Sunday. Another surprise on Saturday morning when he called and said if it was okay he would head over to finish the job because he felt so bad he couldn't make it out the day before. Came and fixed it and the best part was that it was a faulty parts issue that was still covered under their 5 year warranty, so all of the awesome customer service I got did not cost me a dime! I am not big on writing reviews but this review is long overdue. I moved up to the lake Conroe area and the water here is absolutely horrible! Very strong smell of chlorine and very hard. Faucets, sinks and toilets were a mess. I worked with Walter on getting my whole house water softener installed and was very pleased with the way he explained everything to me and how the water can damage appliances and hardware. My hot water heater was due to be replaced. It was clinking and knocking and about to go out. About 3 weeks after the installation I noticed that the hot water heater does not do this anymore and is still working great. Faucets also cleared up. I wanted a reverse osmosis installed but Walter convinced me to hold off on that until I see and taste the water with the new system. I have to say that my water is so good now and tastes awesome with no chlorine odor. Very good an professional service with a very fair cost. I truly had anticipated the cost to be a whole lot more than it was. A friend of mine purchased a system from another company and paid a whole lot more than I did. Almost triple the cost. Texas Water Softeners really care about their reputation. Walter, Tony and all the crew that took care of our filter installation were knowledgeable, customer oriented and easy to work with. The installation crew arrived using masks, they always used it while at home. Few days after installation, I had an issue with a valve that most likely we moved inadvertently and closed the water supply for the reverse osmosis filter. We called TWS and very quickly and in good way came and fixed it. It took literally 30 seconds to find the problem and fix it. I used a different company to provide water softener and filters in my previous home and for 7 years I lived with the pain to call them for service. Everything was more expensive and you could tell they don't really care about you, just a number and more money for them. After changing all the filters and membranes (which I purchased from them), I had difficult restarting the system to produce RO water. He answered our questions about the various filtration systems, difference of a saltless system, and what size we needed with our home and use. Texas Water Softeners recently replaced the electrical board and cover of damaged water softener control valve. Walter was very informative over the phone and did not push any additional services. He could have easily suggested replacing the entire valve, as another vendor had already suggested, but instead he gave us the most cost effective solution.
