I received a quote from Cooper Plumbing to install a water softener, the quote was $3200.00. I asked them to justify that quote because they would only be at my house for less than 4 hours and with less that $100.00 in parts. I asked them if they were paying their plumber over $700/Hour. Technician Warren came over within the scheduled window and was quickly able to resolve my issue- I was in the process of removing my old kitchen faucet. I started a day before but just couldn't get the one mounting nut out. Warren quickly informed me that I could just cut the wires which I hadn't thought off, and then he could install it from there or I could continue my DIY path. I had a 12' galvanized water pipe replaced in our attic space. Carlos the plumber did an excellent job. I should've did my research before accepting their estimate. We were charged $1000.00 for removal of the damaged pipe and replacement with 12' plastic pipe called PEX. Although the job was completed and our leak was fixed, after some research the job should have been a third of the price. We feel we got ripped off. Regardless. Cooper Plumbing came out to unclog my kitchen sink. They responded quickly and the repair person was nice. The issue I have is that he quoted me $300 without even knowing how bad the clog was or how long it would take. It was a simple clog that look less than five minutes. I am left feeling like a sucker. He threw out the highest price. I would not call them again because I dont trust them. I see on TV that John Moore charges $69. I have used other companies that shows pricing in print. read more

I have used this company on two occasions- the first one being to replace the hardware in my shower/tub combo and the second to replace a valve for my washer which was inoperable. I give Cooper Plumbing 5 stars for responsiveness and availability but overall they're way overpriced and don't do the best job. The first guy who came out to replace the hardware in my shower did an awful job with the tub spout, leaving a big gap between the spout and the wall to which he just caulked to close the gap up. This is certainly not the quality of work I'd expect especially after being charged $285 just to replace the trim which I had purchased on my own. I requested this be corrected and they sent the same guy back out much to my disappointment. He fixed it but now a month later, the temperature control is loose and wobbly which should not be occurring after such a short time using the shower. I had also asked this same guy on his first visit out about the loose handle on my kitchen faucet, to which he told me that I should just replace the entire faucet - say what?? Obviously I passed on that because it was going to be $500+ from what he quoted me for install and hardware. I ended up getting an Allen wrench and fixing it myself within a few minutes. Seems this guy has no clue what he's doing and/or is trying to sell people services they don't need. Second (technically now third) experience with them, I needed someone out quick to replace a water valve for my washer so I could get my newly purchased washer installed. I was hesitant to call Cooper again due to my first experience but I needed it done fast. A different guy came out this time and he seemed to be more experienced, however, he didn't seem very happy about having to run to the store for supplies and return to fix it the same day (it was a Saturday and it didn't seem like he was happy about working on a weekend). Nonetheless, he got it done the same day but the way he installed the new washer box was not done the same way the old one was installed - it was much smaller and set further back in the wall which made it more difficult to patch up the Sheetrock properly. $586 to replace two washer valves and install a new box. And he left a mess for me to clean up. I haven't done my research (as mentioned, I needed this done quickly) but that seems quite high. Both guys who came out seemed to very rushed to get the jobs done. I gave them two chances but I will not be using them again in the future. read more

Wow I thought I had already wrote this over due review! Found this company when I was in a pinch my main water supply line was leaking. And though it was outside luckily it was making a big mess and of course, going to cost on the water bill at this experience once years before. So the plumber I had been using before got short anded and was going to be at least a week before they can make it out :) Got a referral for these guys and then of course did my due diligence and went on yelp and saw they had good reviews. They were able to come out the same day Fix the issue on the spot for what I thought was a very reasonable price:) Since then, I have used them several other times, what other projects for myself, as well as I have referred them out to many of my own customers. Have had great feedback from others I referred! Chances are if you're reading this review you're looking for a plumber. Give them a call. If you're in a pickle they're great, if you're not rushing shop around. Great job but almost $300 for a faucet installment that I provided is a little steep. I needed some other work done underneath and I asked for only that to be done bc the price was a bit shocking. One of the guys went off on a tangent for minutes about getting both done at the same time, it made me feel uncomfortable. I did not like the pressure he made me feel to say yes. We requested a plumber at 1:40 and had one at our door at 2:00! It turned out to be a worse clog than we realized and Warren worked his @$$ off for over an hour. We had a different plumbing company out before for the same clog and they just did an auger one time and left (and of course the clog returned) but Warren made sure clear water was coming from the clean out pipe in the back yard and that the drain was actually cleared. Extremely hard worker and obviously a well run company with their fast response time and clear communication. We had low water pressure in a few fixtures.... Previous plumbers hired through our home warranty couldn't find the issue, suspecting water heater issues, or corrosion in pipes. We woke up on a Sunday morning to what we thought was a break in our main water line -- turned out to be a break in the main line suppling water to our emergency fire protection system (sprinklers). We called two other plumbers first b/c they advertised 24/7 & emergency support services. They both came out, looked at the leak for less than 30sec, and told us the same thing: they couldn't fix the leak b/c it was suppling water to the sprinkler system (that type of work required special qualifications). They also both independently told us it was a city line and that we needed to call 311 to have them fix the line. So, we called 311 waited another couple of hours (with the leak still going forming a larger and larger river down our shared driveway) for the city to come out. The city got there did the exact same thing (looked at the leak for less than 30 seconds), told us they couldn't fix it b/c it was a private line under the shared drive way. The city told us to call the fire protection company and have them come out and fix the leak. We called the fire protection company, again waiting another couple of hours while the leak continued to grow. They came out and said the leak was in a line before their "ownership" kicked in (their lines are orange and the leak was in a white PVC line), meaning it was a plumbing problem since it wasn't a city line. Thankfully the fire protection company was able to shut the water off at the meter so we had time to call out another plumber. On Monday we called Cooper Plumbing, I explained all of the above and Jerimiah had someone out to our house later that afternoon -- appt was scheduled for 2-3, but Estaban was able to come earlier at about 1pm (which was great for us). When Estaban got there, I also explained everything and he said he could fix it, no problem. He phoned Jerimiah and discussed pricing, and was ready to work within 15mins of arriving. Estaban cleared the garden (there was a pretty heavy statue and two established bushes), dug out the line, replaced the break, filled everything back in, (he even swept the walkway and moved our statue afterwards) and was finished up by about 5:30pm. Estaban effectively communicated after every step explaining everything that happened and what he was going to do to solve the problem. I really appreciated the sense of urgency and level of attention to detail Estaban paid to our job and situation (without water for nearly 2 days). I couldn't have been happier with the communication and service. While it's not how I wanted to spend that much money, I do feel like it was worth every penny. read more
