Awesome service!! Zach (tech) spent over 6 hours taking toilets (3) apart, snaking the drain (in 2 locations) all the way to the city line and running a camera to the city line as well. During this process another tech brought a bigger machine - afterhours. Then he correctly diagnosed the problem - the city line was plugged. Zach talked to the city dispatcher (Saturday @ 8 pm) and then left. Was stunned the bill was reduced to $100 (afterhours callout fee), Zach said "We didn't fix it you don't pay" Was shocked when a Huntsville Public Works truck showed up 2 hours later (10 pm on Saturday) and used 750 psi to unclog the sewer line. I was incredibly disappointed with the technician that went to my in-law's house for a plumbing issue. My in-laws are nearing 90 and on a very fixed income. Precision quoted an astronomical amount for the services they were to perform and the tech tried to justify it by stating that it costs a lot to run a business with integrity and keep good employees and considering all of the trucks and equipment they have that is what you pay for. Especially in Montgomery County the tech added. Further the tech stated that my elder in laws already signed for the service and the price. When we balked at the price, the technician said he could call the office and try to get a $200 or $400 discount from the price they quoted. It was all about the sale! I found them initially to put in a gas line; however, after meeting with David Ramos we purchased the maintenance plan and requested more work. We did that because Mr. Ramos said he was going to be our personal plumber. That was a lie. He told us that if he wasn't available to do the work he would be in contact with the plumber working on our property. That was true, but when asked for him to contact us so we could talk to him directly about the work. He never did. And I asked twice. Not once did he follow up with us. Although, the work was completed satisfactorily I have a problem with the integrity of the people and the company. We were sold on the company by the person and the person let us down so we do not believe in the company. Their rates are not bad. I would recommend that you have them do a specific job, but you don't need the service plan. read more

Recently my hot water heater sprung a leak. JD Precision Plumbing quoted me $4800 to replace it with their warranty after they inspected it. I found the exact same water heater at Home Depot for around $570 with a 6 year warranty. I called multiple other plumbers who quoted me around $1800 for a water heater installed with a warranty. Just an update. My hot water heater ended up not needing to be replaced at all. There was only a crack in the plastic spigot that was screwed into the tank itself. $15 later for a new part and it was completely fix. Much cheaper than paying $4800 fucking dollars. read more

Had a water filtration system installed by them, March 2022. Cost was $1000. Had it completely replaced by different plumber in October 2022. Issues: -Attention to detail. Just look at the picture. -There should be one more 1/4 turn shutoff valve in what he installed. Again, look at pic. -Drain plug on bottom of filter was gooped up by installer, he stripped the plastic threads during the install process and fixed it w/putty. -A kitchen faucet was also installed on techs first visit, he had to tighten it up when he came back to install water filter as it became loose. Guess what, it became loose again so i got under there and tightened it up with a crows foot. Would i recommend? A resounding NO! Would i call them back to fix what i've listed above? But I have to give 1 star for the pricing of a water heater (another company gave us the exact same product for half the price.) The technicians work on commission so they will try to sell you more than you need, just fyi. We spent $13k on re-routing pipes through our house for a leak under our driveway. Now we have pipes showing in our garage and laundry room that looks like a sloppy job. And we were told by another company that we way overpaid. While we won't use them again, I have to say they did show up quickly during an emergency situation and this is what we probably paid for. read more

Discovered a gas leak to my generator. So got an estimate from my friend's plumber who just gave me a ballpark figure of $500 to replace a natural gas riser. I am thinking ok sounds good but he is out town till next Monday so I decided to call JD Plumbing saying I need ballbark estimate. She says that they have to send someone out there but they will be able to give me a free estimate. Should have known better. So he comes out. I tell him I have estimate for $500 and ask him what he thinks after explaining to him that I know what the issue is. He says 250 to dig. Now I should have clarified what that meant because in my mind I think ing he needs to dig for $250 knowing that his estimate is going to be below the $500 but it is starting off at $250. So 30 minutes later knock at door. And says that the estimate will be $1350. I tell him that I am not going to pay 2.5 times what I have already been estimated. So he then charges $250 because that is what it costs to get a FREE estimate with JD plumbing. This is of course my fault as much as his. I should have clarified and he should have told me that he knew is estimate was going to be way higher than $500. So I spent $250 for something I already knew for an estimate he knew I was never going to go for. I will not be calling JD plumbing in the future for any more $250 FREE estimates. What is funny I was going to let this go as a life lession until they sent me one of those automatic how was your experience emails. Now I will be letting others know in Spring Trails, Facebook, Yelp and NextDoor my experience on how to avoid the $250 FREE estimate. read more

The owner is a very nice man (Jerry David). They take care of business and are fair. They are a little more pricey than some other companies but when it comes to plumbing you really can't take chances. Better to get it done right than spend so much fixing mistakes. Had them install some sink hardware in the kitchen and 2 bathrooms and while they did a good job, cleaned up after and professional, they were incredibly expensive (over $1000 and I already had the new faucets.) While here I asked them to give me a quote on a new garbage disposal: $1400! Instead I purchased the exact same disposal from Lowe's for less than $300 and had them install it for $150. I had a sinkhole in front of my house, I called JD Precision Plumbing they said they would come and give me a free estimate to find out why there was a sink hole. when the guy came he told me he needed to run a camera which it would cost me $507 but if something needed to be fixed that money would go towards the cost. He ran the camera and came back telling me my storm drainage was broken he told me it would cost me $4,500 to fix it and insisted for me to contract his services right there in there. I told him I needed to see other options but he kept insisting telling me that if I didn't do it now it would cost me more. I didn't get his services and called other plumber. my pipe was never broken it was my neighbors pipe that was broken and it was affecting my side of lawn. the whole thing costed me 1,107 for something that was never even my problem. Be very careful if you need any plumbing work done in The Woodlands. DO NOT call JD Precision Plumbing, they are modern day Pirates. They charged me $800.00 to replace this one small section of water main. took every bit of 30 minutes. They say free estimates on their website. When I called for service I was told there is a $175.00 service call charge and would be I would be credited this amount if work is done.. I'm thinking it can not cost much over $175.00 to fix. (wrong). They estimated $791.00 to fix it. I'm not home due to a surgery and have buddy relaying info to me. I think ok, the $791.00 less the the $175.00 so $616.00 to me. (wrong again). I not only get charged 791.00! they added 3% for using a credit card. Now I'm at $815.00 to fix. I try getting justifiaction on charges from their operations manager only to be told JD Precision plumbing is so big and they have higher overhead than any other plumbers, therefore have higher costs for service. Ron is a plumber with JDPP and his initial assessment of the plumbing in my older home was spot on. I cannot praise this company enough. Yes, they are pricey, but I really think they are worth it. We woke up on a Saturday to a bathroom sink full of water and overflowing onto our floor. Turning off the water did nothing. Matthew from JD Precision came out that afternoon and immediately knew that it was due to our A/C condensation not properly draining. He drained the water, cleaned the drain pipes, and gave us tips on how to prevent it happening in the future. It did cost us $325, which probably is high, but he was efficient, clean, and respectful. He then looked at a couple of other issues (no charge) for us that we had been planning to get a contractor out for. He could have easily "taken us for a ride" on a couple of them, but he was totally straightforward and honest about what he saw and told us we could wait on repairs (and, save our money!). THEN, as he was leaving (and we had already gone inside), he went and checked our septic system for us. We had told him that our septic sprinklers had been going off a ridiculous number of times a day but that our maintenance company had told us everything looked fine. It took him less than one minute to find a hose that was not properly attached to the aerator pump. He obviously had no obligation to go out of his way to go look at our septic system - the fact that he did was just so kind. He also sent someone else out (again, no charge) to be sure we didn't have a leak somewhere as we had what appeared to be water damage on our ceiling. That gentleman (who was also extremely polite and knowledgeable) took one look and said we are totally fine. Again, completely honest. We have some toilets to replace and a few other plumbing issues to address, and I will absolutely be hiring JD Precision again. I absolutely recommend them!! read more

We had a single pipe break in two places during the recent winter storm. The two plumbers who came out were both courteous and professional. The work performed was decent, although it looked rather sloppy in the attic and they didn't bother to add an insulation sleeve, even though the previous pipe had it on there. In addition, the price was bordering on gouging considering it took 45 minutes to fix and was nearly double what others were charging in the area. I haven't had water in three days due to a pipe bursting from the recent freezing temperatures. I called JD two days ago and today was their earliest appointment. The weather forecast is the same today as it was at the time they scheduled this appointment. We've been waiting for them to show up, yet nobody came today. I called three times, and I keep getting an answering service for JD, who told me that apparently JD is closed today. If I would have known, I would have obviously scheduled another plumber. The state of Texas is in the middle of a water emergency, people are in real need, and unreliable company's like this are just making it worse for the entire state. I encourage everyone reading this review to think very carefully about the current circumstances and whether this is the type of company you can rely on when you have a real plumbing emergency. Please also note that the idea that the roads are not safe enough to drive didn't prevent either of my direct neighbors from finding respectable plumbing companies to service their homes today, nor did it prevent my community in Spring from being on the roads themselves today. TWO separate companies followed through on their commitment to their customers in a time of great need, whereas JD was nowhere to be found. The idea that they didn't even extend the courtesy of telling me they weren't showing up today shows a serious lack of professionalism and just how little they care about their customers, especially in such dire circumstances. Bottom line is that I will never allow them to step foot in another one of my personal properties in Texas, nor any of my commercial properties, and I encourage everyone else to do the same. The fact that a plumbing business would sit on the sidelines during such a crisis blows my mind. Fortunately, other, more reputable, plumbing companies have stepped up during this state emergency. JD is an absolute embarrassment. If you want a reliable plumbing company, JD Plumbing isn't it. Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews they beg their customers for. Go somewhere else. read more
