Overly happy! I called because I just moved into a new house post Harvey. I needed a new toilet installed and some work finished under my sink that I couldn't do. They were able to come out that same day and. I was so pleased! Gary came with his right hand-man. He made suggestions on which models would get the best shelf life. Overall did a good job with fixing my clogged plumbing system. Brandon was the plumber who service our house. They seem to have all the proper equipment to do a thorough job identifying the problem and giving a solution to fix the problem. The main reason why they did not get 5 stars -- they are very pricy --- service fixed the plumbing clogged --- and give me a quote of $2,400 for installing a new pipe line on the outside. I called 3 additional reputable companies --- and their average quotes were $1700. I think this company took advantage of the situation and over charge for the service to be rendered. I end up use another plumbing company who did it for $1,700 --- and they did a great job for $700 less. read more

Our neighbors notified us that we had a leak on the side of our yard. I checked references and found Plumbco Plumbing. My call to them was returned promptly and within 24 hours, the owner Gary, came to our house. He found the problem, fixed it quickly and "ta-da," no more leak. The winter storm brought havoc to our house. We were fortunate enough to find a repair guy who stopped our problem quickly. He told us our pipes were a mishmash from the 80's and we needed a plumbing company! I then placed our house on Plumbco's list, which was long, yet highly recommended by our neighbors. We waited! AND we are so glad we did. Brandon came out and began the assessment. We realized we weren't that many dollars off from a repipe with all of our issues that were not related. I was experiencing a sewer type smell in one of my bedrooms. No back up in any bathrooms just a sewer smell in the bedroom. So, I called a well known local plumbing company. He asked me a few questions about construction of the house. He then ran a camera and determined that I had a crack in my main sewer line. He gave me 2 estimates one was for $39,000 to reroute my sewer lines and the other was $42,000 to replace my sewer lines. I called Plumbco for a second opinion and they sent Brandon and Eric. They decided to cut into the wall of the bedroom since the smell was only in one room and it shared a wall with the tub. The tub drain had become disconnected and there was about 2 feet of rancid water under the tub. They removed the rancid water, fixed the leak and the smell disappeared. The cost of the job was under $800. Thank goodness I called Plumbco for a second opinion. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Thank you !!! read more

I was a bit skeptical of Plumbco when our main water line to the house sprung a gigantic leak last Sunday. We knew we needed an emergency plumber, but I suspected it would be a long wait and ridiculously expensive (based on past experiences with similar companies). Plumbco responded to my Yelp message within 5 minutes and was very clear about fees and options. They charged a $175 flat fee for a plumber to come out on a Sunday--about what I would expect. The plumber came within an hour or two as promised and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He diagnosed the problem and tried to get it fixed that day--unfortunately the entire line had to be dug up and replaced and it was not possible to get people out to dig on a Sunday. However, they got the whole project done before noon on Monday, and for a reasonable price. Most amazingly, they actually took a lot of care in digging up our yard not to destroy our landscaping, even though we were not there to supervise. Overall this was a positive experience and I would not hesitate to call Plumbco again under similar circumstances. Plumbing (esp. emergency plumbing) is not cheap, but I appreciate good workmanship and customer service. read more

Good work but prices are too high.... I had an emergency plumbing issue come up on a Saturday at the same time my wife and I were trying to leave for an overnight stay in Galveston. We called Plumbco because we got a good reference from someone in her mom's club and saw the good reviews here on Yelp. The pressure valve for our sprinkler system broke and needed to be replaced due to a carelessly dropped piece of siding by a cornice guy working on our home. We were able to shut the water off at the curb before leaving but needed it back on the same day because we had a friend watching our house for the night, and we couldn't have her go without water for the weekend. Max was able to respond to our call in a couple hours and met our friend at the house. The work was done quickly and looks to be done correctly, so no issue there. However, the job cost us $815 to replace a $75 part and a short piece of pvc pipe "to bring it up to code" that took no more than an hour of labor. And that probably includes the time it took to drive and get the part. If they marked up the part 200% and charged me 2 hours of labor, I would've grumbled but been fine given it was the weekend. But over $800? Seems like way too much to me. So unfortunately , they caught me in a position where I didn't have the time to get any other estimates, and as a result, I paid a hefty premium for it. read more

I turned to Yelp to look for a plumber in my area and decided on Plumbco based on the other reviews. As a single woman who is only so-so handy, I rely on you people with stuff like this, and you didn't let me down! So I'd like to throw my 2 cents in, that Gary was responsive, on time, fair, and fixed the problem. It turns out that the toilet wasn't installed properly when I had it replaced. No surprise there considering I slipped the local handyman a few bucks to install it, instead of a plumber. He gave me the estimate before he worked on it and I agreed on the $163 amount. He tightened up some other stuff while he was in there. He could have told me I needed to have the gasket changed. He showed it to me, and said this may be the problem, but that replacing the bolts would more than likely fix it. He replaced them, and made sure it didn't leak after that. Took him just under an hour to fix it. I would call Gary again, and I'd recommend him to anyone. read more

There was transparency about what needed to be done and how they would achieve it. From replacing the piping to patching the concrete over our driveway, the entire team was extremely hard working and consistent. Total lack of professionalism on the part the dispatcher, Georgia. I reached out on a Saturday via Yelp. Received reply to call to make appointment. Called Monday and spoke with Georgia and set appointment for Thursday -- the first available. I waited for days. Thursday came -- no call, no show. Called to inquire and Georgia claims she did not write down my telephone number correctly and as such they were unable to confirm the appointment and skipped me. Mind you, the correct phone number was provided via the initial Yelp inquiry. She then attempted to put me back on the schedule for the FOLLOWING Thursday; no attempt was made to correct their error by working me in the schedule the same day or following day. Also -- every time I have spoken to Georgia on the phone she is loudly smacking and chewing on food. Would not recommend this business to anyone. I had a garbage disposal that stopped working and was clogging up the sink and the dishwasher. Not an emergency, but an annoyance. I called one of the other plumbing companies that got a good review here and they wanted more money than the disposal and the installation and all the plumbing work I have had done in my place. So I asked them to leave. Called Gary over at Plumbco and he and Andy came out within the hour. They checked it out, gave me a very reasonable quote, went right to work, got it working again (saved me the cost of a replacement), checked it a few times to make sure it was working, and then checked the dishwasher to make sure there were no visible problems. Gary then told me what to do if there was still a problem with the dishwasher that he might have missed. He also told me that I had made a nice purchase on the original disposal and that it was a good one that should last for many years. Overall, I am very, very pleased with Plumbco , Gary, and Andy. They seem like really nice guys, very professional, made sure that they kept my place clean, told me the price and then did the work for that price, and that price was quite reasonable. I would highly recommend Plumbco and will call them again if I need any plumbing work done. I know that one of my sisters needs some work done, so I got a business card just for her. We recently hired Plumbco to replace the water pipes in our 1951 Oak Forest home from galvanized steel to PEX. We asked several companies for quotes and Plumbco was the most reasonable among established and reputable plumbing companies. I got some quotes that were lower but they were from plumbers that would not have provided a warranty to back up their work and didn't have a brand name to protect as much as a company like Plumbco. We quickly scheduled the work, although it had to be delayed a couple days due to weather. I am grateful that they had the foresight to delay because our yard would have been a mess if they had started when we originally scheduled. The work took two days (technically three to finalize the city's inspection). The work was done as promised in a clean and orderly fashion. My wife felt very comfortable with their staff. We ran into an issue with the new water heater unexpectedly being a bit larger than our original, but Gary and the rest of the team were extremely professional about it and agreed to compensate me for a portion of the cost to expand the closet where the water heater is placed because we weren't aware of this needing to be done when we got their quote. Also, when the inspector noted a few minor things to fix, they quickly came out to make sure everything was right (even though some of the things the city required didn't make any sense). This is a well-run company that hasn't lost it's sense of purpose and is willing to get things right over making an extra dollar. The water pressure in our house is now exceptional, the leaks are gone, and the new pipes are generally working great. We highly recommend Plumbco for residential plumbing needs. I have used this company twice. The first time was for a leaking pipe in the ceiling. I was not here when they came, but my son said everything went fine . I came back from my extended vacation Labor Day weekend and discovered there was water dripping from the attic down into my laundry basket. The damage wasn't as bad as I thought but it was bad enough. I called Plumbco on Labor Day, knowing they were still closed, but hoping I'd get a response considering the emergency. To my amazement and delight I did receive a call back and was able to schedule an appointment just two days later.
