Ordered the General Tsos and asked for pork fried rice. The rice was a big portion and tasted awesome. Almost as good as the pork fried rice at J East's in Manhattan. The quality of the chicken was good. Not great. A little on the overbreaded side. Not spicy at all. I would probably try something else next time. Not a bad option though. I have actually sat and had food here twice and each time vowed to never spend my money here again (aside from my Pink Hawaiian of course) These won't be the BEST drinks ever either but you get to walk down the street sipping from your naughty styrofoam cup, getting pretty buzzed on your walk home or around the neighborhood, hell even pre gaming before festivities as I have done all of the above. $20 later and I'm a happy layydddaaayyyyyy!! read more

The small drinks are $10 and while that may seem a bit high, its really the equivalent to going to Dallas BBQ's Texas Size drink, which after tax and tip is $10-12 and not nearly as strong as what New Apollo's is offering up. They also have Frozen drinks (!!!!!). I had the Blue Hawaiian, more then just a buzz...I was tips-say. Since the minimum delivery is $8. The next time I may skip the food and just order drinks. My favorite New` York City dining establishment of all time! I have a love affair with this place dating back to when they were located in the Lower East Side and I was 16 years old. Food is incredible with the best pork fried rice I have ever tasted in my life! I love this place! I love the staff! They are very accommodating every time I go to eat there. I go there with different members of my inner circle at least once a week during the week. The food is great and I recommend the beef steak (number 11) as I have been eating it almost exclusively for over fifteen years as a patron of Apollos. The drinks are a tremendous value as they are delicious and quite potent. The iced tea is legendary! It is rare to be able to have a satisfying meal for under ten dollars but Apollos gets the job done for it's patrons. I highly recommend this establishment! read more

My go to chino spot in NYC. Love their ICED-T. Boneless crackling chicken and shrimp fried rice is my usual. Their shrimp mofongo is amazing. The waiters are not the friendliest but it's not that kind of restaurant. They get the job done. They have been around for years and with very good reasoning. They used to do bomb take out drinks but I haven't had a drink in a while. They accept card but prefer cash of course. Tip in cash they'll tell you. My husband and I decided to try Apolo Restaurant as our regular spot no longer exists and the experience was no where close to what we are accustomed to. Right off the bat our waiter was an obnoxious,arrogant, disrespectful, and tasteless individual that has no business working in any customer service environment. As he took our order his emotionless, unwelcoming, facial expression was so apparent I decide to break the ice in saying " I am gonna get a smile out of you before I leave" his response was the following " They don't pay me to smile they pay me to take your money" Our expressions were as you can expect disgusted and although we probably should have walked out we decided not to allow ignorance ruin our dinner or night. The food was ok nothing special..nothing mind blowing. The experience was disgraceful as it saddens us to have encountered such arrogance and stupidity. Any business where patrons are serviced do require the best customer service as customers will return when they feel welcomed and acknowledged.
