They only have preference for South Americans they are super racist they will serve the South American a huge plate and then give you crumbs.. not only that they always change their prices all depending how you look. If you check other reviews on Google they will say the same.. not only that the place has a B rating and when you go inside you see why the spot is extremely dirty and the energy of the service is disgraceful. This is definitely a stop in for me when I am in Brooklyn. I think the name has changed like 5 times in the last few years but the food has remained equally good. They have great quality Spanish food and its huge portions for reasonable prices. I really like the beans here as well as the fried plantains. You can come in and sit down and order from the menu. They also have a to go counter with some pre made dishes that always look amazing! Also note they have a full bar, a jukebox that places loud music in Spanish and take credit card. read more

Came in here with the Princess last night for dinner. The place was so hot we had to take our order to go. Second time we ate here and the last time was in the winter so that wasnt an issue but what I did notice was just like last time there are clearly drunk people hanging or more like half awake by the bar. First time here we had Mofongo as I had never tried it and she said this place was famous for it, I noticed hey had many varieties on the menu. We got one with pork and I thought it was pretty dry and starchy, not a fan of Mofongo. Last night we ordered the lemon flounder which was a flounder poached in a lemon butter sauce. It was pretty good, tender flaky fish with a nice sauce. Rice and beans were ok and I didnt care for the tostones, I think I just dont like Plantains in general. They play very loud Spanish music so if youre not into that (like me and my non Spanish speaking Newyorican Princess) you may want to get takeout. read more

Wait time was an hour but the food tastes great and is flavorful. I'm a vegetarian so I got the mixed veggies( had garlic and butter on it), tostones, rice with pigeon peas and a side of beans( this had traces of meat). My sister is not she had the Pechuga with rice and beans and a side order of Maduros- she was very satisfied! The portions are out of this world ( in a good way) very generous. I highly, recommend. Used to be such a great restaurant under previous owners/management. Ate there every week. Then they decided to renovate, but lacked the food quality to maintain a DOH A rating. And they had the nerve to take down the sign for their Grade Pending status for months and months, until after getting sick off their food, we checked the DOH website to find that they still couldn't get their grade up to par. I ordered from Delivery.com on a weeknight around 10:00pm. My food didn't reach me until ten minutes shy of 1:00am. I found out that not only did the steak come cold (shockingly only the steak came cold), but the delivery guy had rode his bicycle all the way from Wyckoff Avenue in Bushwick to Middle Village!! He got lost, and had no idea where I was. The restaurant called me the first time around 10:50pm and explained that the delivery guy was lost somewhere on Metropolitan Avenue. So I asked, "Well where on Metropolitan, Because it reached to Jamaica on one end, and goes into Brooklyn on the other." She said she wasn't sure and he was really lost. I offered to meet him and gave her a cross street off of Metropolitan near my home, She said she doesn't know, and I was told she would call me back. I called the restaurant around 11:30pm and asked about my order, The gentlemen could not help me, he said that he left and was not sure about anything else. He just kept saying; "I don't know, I don't know" and hung up. I got fed up at this point wanting to go to sleep and just screwing everything but decided to call Delivery.com. She explained that their span of delivery is ridiculously large and that they had to shut it down temporarily until they resolve it. The white rice was good, beans, flan, and steak tasted great and were well seasoned. The Platanos Maduros were burned black, edible, but still burned. I mean like campfire burned. I just squashed them and mixed them with the beans.** The Chicken Mofongo was really dry, there was no sauce or any type of oil given to put on top like there is usually served as an accompaniment. I was given an apology by the owner. This place used to be great when the name was RosaMaria. The name has changed a few times, but the food was always good...up until recently. The food made to order is always the best choice. El bistec enceballado (steak with sauteed onions) was still awesome, but neither chicken soup or bacalao was any good. The beans taste like old tomatoe soup.... It puzzles me how 1 day the food can be great and another day awful. Delivery time is disasterous so if u are hungry, might take 40min b4 ur food comes. Ever since I've moved elsewhere I still come here from time to time even though it takes over half an hour by car! The food is legit. Full of flavor. The prices are incredible too! I use to buy there everyday breakfast and dinner. I had to stop was getting my order wrong and if not wrong it was either burnt or super not cooked. Example one day the pancakes came super burnt it was so black they put the eggs on top to hide it. Two days later i ordered again and told them please dont make it too dark when we got it the pancakes was raw in side it was running. Also in the afternoon they have younger people serving, and all they do is make fun of the coustomers when they are leaving even after they leave them a tip not nice at all. They do that alot.
