I had a similarly rude experience at this place. The fat guy with the facial hair was rude and seemed uptight. I asked a few questions are we responded with an attitude. If it was not for the kind girl who helped me with my shoes, I would have cursed him out. Advise to management - listen to your customers because we pay to keep the light on. We always stop by NEO when we come for our Shabu Shabu (Osawa on Raymond) and we always end up leaving with something! They have great prices and the people who work there are always attentive. Haven't been in for a few months so saw the new location this passed weekend which is just downstairs from where they used to be. Very modern. Came to this store on a whim have seen it for several years and people I know go there for the convenience . Anyway I ordered a pair of shoes after I tried some one with little help . Basic all white Stan smith. I didn't feel the customer service was to die for however , I was particularly displeased with a guy at the cashier whom was rude , And un-polite and also did not call me to tell me my shoes were ready as promised . When I arrived and expressed the fact that they did not call me and I was worried I may have made a useless trip he questioned me 3 times and even repeated my number to my face saying he left me a voicemail .. I had NOTHING. .... Let me tell you something NEVER say my number aloud in that tone of voice and say you left me a non-existent voicemail . Then later he questioned the fact that a pair of shoes I paid HIM in his face day before is paid or not paid in an arrogant and rude manner. He could've asked for a receipt but I truly doubt he doesn't remember the few people that arrive. I only took the shoes with me because my husband bought them for me as a gift otherwise I would have gotten my money back ASAP . And btw when I chose my shoes and paid I brought more people to purchase shoes because we appreciate non chain stores . If you want people to continue shopping for you correct your attitude , put on that friendly face you get paid for , and get rid of the rude ass pudgy man with a beard at the cashier. Wonderful new location for this Old Town Pasadena favorite. Great boutique vibe. In a converted basement storeroom which is just so lovely and mellow and feels high end. Next door to the now-relocated older location. Make sure you look for them! Staff extremely helpful and friendly. If you ever encountered the snotty kids/punks upstairs at the old location, they seem to be gone! They accidentally rang up my shoes at full price (instead of 25% off). Gotta give props to Luis the manager whom kept the safety of the customers in mind to cancel the release the week before due to a few individuals getting really rowdy and didn't want things to get out of hand. I have been coming to this store for YEARS hoping against hope that they would have my size and ANY cute shoes - THEY NEVER DO. Same old excuse, "your shoe size is very popular" - so, hey, here's a thougth, stock more of the most popular sizes. I can't see how this is a real store and not a front for something else. The sales people are obviously untrained, it's a hasssle for them to answer any questions you have. You can't tell what would come in women's sizes or mens. They give you sizes that are obvsiously wrong. I really want them to be a great place to go for shoes bc I love to buy sneeks.....but I'm always disappointed. If I could give this store a zero I would!!! I was there at 7:45a for the Adidas NMD shoes and was first in line and the store didnt have the decency to put a sign by their door saying they're cancelling the release. People who were in line today were cooperating and there was no problems at all and you guys still didn't release them. When the store opened the associate was like were letting in people two at a time just to look at the shoes. When we got inside, we saw another associate and he was about to sell us the shoes and when he asked the first associate he was like, "shoes cancelled". Like your people don't even communicate on a simple release that couldve took place already! He didnt even know about the shoes being cancelled and he is an employee at your store so how do you expect the consumers to know this kind of information. Highly disappointed at your store. Not alot of people follow you through social media so you couldnt spend the time to put a sign up saying you cancelled a shoe release?
