Really tasty food, but a bit overpriced! For apps, I'd SKIP the Chili Crab Lumpia, which is basically 2 spring rolls cut in half for $20!! Apart from that, the sauce it comes with didn't pair well, in my opinion. I enjoyed their Chicken Wings, which had a good crisp. I LOVED the Grilled Whole Bronzino - the lime to squeeze over it was juicy and gave it the perfect zest to the dish. It's boneless and big enough to share amongst 3 people. The Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice was really good, but VERY oily and spicy! I'd rec to request for less spice if you're sensitive. The bone marrow to pair with it was good. Small, but good selection of mocktails. Lots of cocktail and alc bev choices. Spacious and comfortable interior, since they also have a back section with the bar. Overall, would come back for a date or girls night, but wouldn't be my first choice.

I decided to stop in this restaurant to get dinner. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. I was served by Luis, and he was great. I ordered: Vodka Martini Spiced Corn Ribs Heritage Chicken Satay Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice Branzino The food was excellent! My favorite definitely was the branzino! It was super flavorful! I loved everything and definitely would return!

So vibey, good food, and professional service! Came here with a friend for a catch up dinner and it exceeded my expectations. Wish the Crying Tiger was still hot when it came out as the flavors were so good but we were still happy that it tasted good even tho it was a little cold. We left feeling very full and content. They don't have dessert on the menu but make sure to ask b/c our ube flan(?) was so good!

I forget when I added this to my bookmark or how i even stumbled upon this place but it had a lot of last minute available reservations for a party of 5. Last minute as in 48-72 hrs notice. The place was elegantly decorated. The service was friendly and attentive. We loved the ribbed corn. The chicken satay was interesting as they were grilled chicken meatballs and not just grilled pieces of chicken. We shared the crab fried rice, the char Kway teow and the Indonesian mia goreng. They were all done very well. You can't go wrong. We also got the tiger steak which I didn't particularly like. It was an interesting cut of steak. I Would recommend for apps and entrees given the space, the many food options and cocktail options.

(Overall: B) - Nemesis is a southeast asian-forward fusion restaurant that beautifully incorporates elements of Eastern and Western cuisine to highlight the beauty of southeast asian flavors. The food is executed well of high quality, and the presentation is equally elegant. The ambience was decently calm and pleasant, so my only criticism is that the staff were attentive when it came to ordering, but nowhere to be found for the rest of the visit. (Scallop: A+) - The scallops taste as impressive as it looks. This dish is perfected in the attention to detail, from ice to keep it chilled, to the spice to bring a light heat, and the slicing in a delicate way to highlight the sheen of the scallop. The only thing this dish could possibly do better is perhaps to finish with a sprinkle of flake salt. (Beef Short Rib: A+) - This platter starts off strong with a tender short rib that is pre cut for easy consumption, soaked in a seductive curry. The coconut rice adds a beautiful fragrance to absorb that luscious curry and the pickled vege adds a pleasant contrastive acidity. Most platters come off as very cafeteria like, so I'm pleased that this dish kept the emphasis on elevated presentation. (Crab Fried Rice: B) - This fried rice maintains all the elements of the comfort food, but is elevated with an abundance of crab and egg saute that adds a natural sweetness. I do think this dish could be made a signature by additional layers of flavor or textural development. Led by the team behind Antidote, Nemesis is a trendy upscale restaurant weaving Southeast Asian culinary styles. It spotlights traditional dishes from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia with a modern twist. Their food and drinks were so delicious that I wanted to give a star to everything I got. Attentive service and sophisticated atmosphere. This could be a great choice to bring a friend visiting NYC to enjoy a multicultural dining experience. *Grilled Iberico Pork Belly $23 * The pork belly was flame-grilled and well-marinated. Every bite was juicy and bursting with a savory, tangy flavors. The edges were slightly charred which gave some smoky aroma. It had a good meat-to-fat ratio so it wasn't greasy at all. *Heritage Chicken Satay $16 We were pleasantly surprised to see chicken satay in meatball shape. It was so flavorful with the peanut butter satay sauce. The cucumber, red onion and cherry tomato made it more refreshing as a starter. *Crying Angus Steak $39 *** We were so OBSESSED with this crying angus steak!! The angus ribeye were marinated in thai sauce and chimichurri. Each piece were cooked perfectly to medium rare and thinly sliced. 10oz was A LOT and my Asian instinct told me it would be great with jasmine rice. The mixed roasted fingerling potatoes and sweet tomatoes on the side were aromatic and very enjoyable. *Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice $35 * We got their most viral bone marrow tom yum fried rice. The bone marrow was melt-in-your-mouth fatty. It was 100% insta-worthy though the bone marrow didn't really add much flavor to the dish. The scallops were cooked to absolute perfection and the prawns were very bouncy. Wish it could be a tad spicier. *Lychee V $10 * *Sky High $19 Worth to mention they have an impressive selection of cocktail and wine menu. The aesthetics and Asian-inspired flavors are spot-on. Sky High waz a picture-perfect cocktail with cotton candy, with a base of rum, pineapple, lychee, lemon and four season tea. It didn't taste too alcoholic so it was right up my lane. While Lychee V was a mocktail with lychee, oolong tea, jasmine tea syrup, yuzu, lime and tonic. Loved the tea flavors and it wasn't too sweet.

This restaurant is very cute. Loved the decor. The cocktail menu was extensive. A good amount of unique cocktails. The menu also scales the cocktails on potency, sweetness and sourness which I thought was great. Easier to find a cocktail that suited you. There were so many yummy looking choices on the food menu as well. I went with the Mie Goreng which was so good. Had a nice spicy kick to it too. Service was friendly. Enjoyed everything about the experience here.

Spiced Corn Ribs

The food was pretty decent here, I felt it was a bit oily and not the BEST Thai I've had. The service was great though, they accommodated a large group, which was really nice of them and were able to create some vegan dishes as well for our group. The inside is really nice and has good seating. Perfect for a little celebration lunch.

Nice place. Made an 8:30 reservation got seated right away Got the spiced corn ribs. Good and fun. Fried oysters were good. Main dish jumbo crab fried rice was a bit disappointing. And the mushroom Pad cha. The mushroom dish was real good. Also a couple of cocktails. Decor was nice and cool vibe. Prices were fair

Came for the lunch specials - the fried chicken cutlet in the laksa pan mine was delicious, great crisp and the Malay curry paired very well. Char kway teow flavor was also on point. Restaurant decor is nice and servers were very attentive.

Everything from the food, service, to the vibe was absolutely perfect. They put in the work ands it shows ~ 10/10

I almost don't want to write a review because I don't want everyone to find out this restaurant is AMAZING! It's focused on Thai food but it has a lot of other Asian food influences. Every dish I tried so far is all delicious and they go extra mile for Thai ice tea because the ice cubes are also made of ice tea. The service is great and attentive, candle-lit ambience is suitable for a date or casual friends get-together!

Nemesis in New York, NY. Words can't describe how much I love this place. The decor is beautiful, the food is stunning and the cocktails are speakeasy quality. Everything we ate was 10/10-especially the Whole Grilled Branzino. The branzino is flame grilled making the skin extra crispy and the sauce on top hits all of the taste buds. Service was amazing "Nemesis" is part of NYC coming back with a "vengeance" with serving amazing Asian influenced food. Ordered on Uber Eats. Yummy and not white typical Thai flavors in some of the crossover dishes which is fun.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

They're experimental, whimsical, delicious, and worth every penny. My absolute favorite is Child of Light, and my BF's was High Frequency Device. The interior was dimly lit, with a couple of candles per table or counter. It's a perfect place for a date night. And while there may be a wait on busier nights, it's always worth the wait. We were sat at the bar once and were very well taken care of by our bartender, Nikola. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't terribly busy. We chatted up a storm and he was able to create some drinks off the menu just for fun (on request). He also made my BF and me a couple of drinks to celebrate our anniversary too. It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation.
