This was a unique experience. We got the omakase set. Too much wagyu can start to feel queasy but they did an amazing job with the unique flavor combos. From the chefs to the staff, everyone was super attentive as well. Definitely worth a try.

My husband and I came here for restaurant week, and we loved it here. The staff were really nice, professional and accommodating. We loved the dishes - not only were they delicious, they also had really nice presentation. We also loved the ambiance there. It was a lovely evening and we had a great dinner date there.

Walking into Togyushi you are greeted with a beautiful entrance, flowing lines, beautiful pallets of warm natural tones, a check in desk at the front followed by the hostess. The bar sits to the right on a slightly elevated dining floor. Bar seating as well as smaller tables for couples that want to enjoy an eclectic dinner. Upon entry I was greeted warmly and made my way to the bar to wait for my party. I met Charlie a charismatic soft spoken front of the house magician of cocktails. He presented a few menus with one catching my eye in particular. A happy hour menu with bites at $7 and cocktails at $10. WOW. Ordered wagyu sliders, the Mentaiko potatoes with cheese, Fries with Yuzu Mayo. incredible. Once our party arrived we made our way to the table and then were presented with the restaurant week menu. $60 for 3 course all of them having Wagyu in it. The A5 Wagyu Ribeye at 200 grams was a $50 supplement. A half pound wagyu ribeye at retail is $100.00 There is no way this establishment is making money on this menu. The service was phenomenal and the ambiance was incredible. Soothing, Calm, the rear kitchen occasionally doing a flaming steak show as they seared their delicious cuts of beef. The starters I tried were the Wagyu Tartare and the Roast Wagyu Salad... Absolutely incredible flavor and seasoning. Everything was made with care and attention to detail. The Steak and Frites were the star of the show. The sukiyaki was a bit too sweet for my liking and it ended up coming home with us. The richness of the A5 wagyu was so rich in fat content that half a steak was already more than enough. Dessert got packed up unfortunately due to eating the happy hour menu and the wagyu. Midway through the meal Charlie came by multiple times along with the owner and waitstaff to check on us and repeatedly refill our drinks, At no point did we feel rushed or a burden. Everyone made us feel like family and as if we were their guests. Charlie came by at one point and with a smile said I'd like you to try this and brought me what I can only describe as one of the best alcoholic Arizona Peach flavored green teas. (childhood memory) The Lady Jasmine which is made with Yuzu Gin, Seasonal fruit, Jasmine Tea, Elderflower tonic, Jasmine Infused Cream and garnished with sunflower. All in all this place is worth a visit, If you're a meat eater, come here, If you want to try Wagyu, come here, If you love Wagyu, definitely come here. If you like Hamburg Steak try this place. The chef is from Kyoto and the restaurant gives a real Japan essence in the way they treat and serve their guests. 10 out of 10 I will be back.

was perusing resy for a nice place to take my boyfriend for a celebratory dinner and stumbled across togyushi -- they seem fairly new, and one of the hosts mentioned they had started their prix fixe menu a few days ago. overall a super pleasant experience and a choice that left us both satisfied. the service stands out: everyone was excellent, attentive, and affable. we had booked for the prix fixe menu so we each got to pick three courses from a set menu -- we both opted for the tartare as a starter, with my boyfriend following up with the hamburg steak and the basque cheesecake while i chose the fried cutlet and the coconut biancomangiare. the tartare was flavorful yet surprisingly light, the cutlet was rich and juicy, and the dessert was perfectly milky yet not too rich or too sweet. the server also brought along a feedback form to go with the bill, which i thought was a nice touch. all in all, a classy and intimate experience -- hopefully they'll get some more traction soon but i did enjoy the calm quietness of the atmosphere as a result. would also love to try the omakase menu when i have a little more money to drop on a dinner.

Honestly went with a lot more expectations but left feeling very disappointed.. The service was good and it feels very bougie in here, but the food was nothing out of the ordinary and didn't feel like the price was justified. The wagyu was just cold and flavorless in my opinion, and the yuzu salad was good but there were lots of very bitter vegetables so keep that in mind! The wagyu don was our best one because it had the best flavor.. But it didn't even feel like we were eating wagyu haha Note: the hojicha ice cream is meant to be gritty because it is house made and it is not smooth like the typical ice cream!

If you want premium wagyu and you're willing to pay for it then this is the spot for you. It was completely empty as they just opened and are still figuring out their menu, but the wagyu cuts they had currently are really delicious. My favorite has to be the skewer, it was just melting, so freaking good.

- I absolutely LOVE this place and can't wait till they officially open for business with their main menu and omakase - They present the background of the meat before serving you - The uni parfait is to die for. The presentation is absolutely beautiful and it's so tasty - The wagyu maki roll and the mini sukiyaki are very small but very flavorful - Got the wagyu hand roll and the wagyu fried cutlet, both were delicious but the cutlet is only 4 pieces. For that price I'd rather order a couple more skewers - The wagyu negima was amazing; so soft and fatty - I ordered the dragon's jewel mocktail and really enjoyed it - This is definitely a place where you'll rack up a bill, but the quality of the wagyu makes it worth it - Can't wait to come back

For all the Wagyu lovers out there, don't skip this spot. The meat quality was unreal, and every dish was delicious from the first bite to the last!

Loved the waygu tasking menu. The Uni parfait was so pretty and the entire presentation is an art. The waygu just melted in your mouth and you just keep wanting more. Definitely try the drinks. The wasabi martini has a very refreshing kick - it's a mix of gin and vodka. Small portions but hey it's wagyu beef. We will be back!

We were Not impressed at all ! The place is very new and clean, the food tho....... 95 dollar for a wagyu set menu, I think the whole meal you will only get a total 2 ~ 3 very thin pieces for the whole meal. It can barely feed you and for main course they gave us a bowl of rice with one small piece wagyu, ( not the best quality ones that they showed you before the meal) a very basic piece of wagyu I guess they expect you to feel full after the rice obviously not from the good stuff. What is more crazy is,they charged you 20% service fee already when the bill comes ? What a disrespectful move to the customers?! Definitely won't go back ever !!!!!

Wife and I tried omakase and the food was incredible. The host and chef provided some helpful background around the history of the beef. The place has an upscale vibe and the drinks are quite creative. Great pick for a special occasion.

It was my first time there but I was expecting the menu I saw online, not this new one. We tried 2 drinks: one inspired by Turkish figs and one inspired by lemons and the "Miracle Berry", which inverts your palate and turns sour into sweet! I really enjoyed both drinks. The figs one came with a sweet fig granola bite and the lemon one really did taste sweet after eating the "Miracle Berry"! I'd definitely come back to try their many other drinks.

I liked how they organized the menu by country/geography to facilitate an understanding of the flavor profiles. I got two of the date & fig-flavored smoked whisky drinks and it was a well made, balanced, and very good. Not cheap at some $25 or something, but middle of Manhattan with some creative ingredients means I guess it is what it is. Servers seemed a bit annoyed to have to deal with us shortly before close as I think they were hoping to usher people out and close down maybe a little early. One the one hand I get it, on the other hand you've got two paying customers on a slow night.

The unmarked entrance and doorbell immediately set the tone, and once inside it feels like you stepped out of Manhattan and into a dark, old New York cocktail lounge. The velvet seating, curtains, low lighting, and little private nooks make the whole place feel intimate without being gimmicky. That atmosphere is very much intentional. The Chelsea location is the original Raines Law Room and is built around that hidden speakeasy experience. The cocktails were beautifully presented, and I liked that this felt like a place where you could actually sit with friends and have a conversation rather than compete with loud music. We also ordered some meat, cheese, olives, and crackers for the table, which was perfect alongside the drinks without turning the night into a full dinner. What stood out most to me was how cohesive everything felt. The drinks, glassware, lighting, service style, and decor all fit the same mood. It feels refined and special without trying too hard. Pay special attention to the bathroom wall art. Definitely not an inexpensive night out, but for a true New York cocktail bar experience, I thought Raines Law Room was absolutely worth visiting. This would be especially good for a date night or drinks with a small group.

Patent Pending is has such cool speakeasy vibes, think dimmed lighting and candles at each table in a very intimate space. Our plan was to get wine and a cheese board however, the kitchen was closed due to a family emergency. We could only order chips or bar nuts with our drinks. Disappointing but what can you do? We ordered both the chips and bar nuts to go along with our drinks. And instead of wine, I opted for a cocktail! They have a pretty extensive cocktail menu with all these crazy concoctions. I went for the Strange Magic which was citrusy and refreshing. I'll definitely be back to visit again and hopefully next time will get the cheese board :)

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

The well-crafted cocktails present thoughtful riffs on the classics, inventive without being showy. While the dim lighting and intimate atmosphere practically beg for a secret rendezvous (there's an ostrich involved), I met up with a friend for the decidedly unscandalous purpose of doing our intention setting for the year over libations and nibbles. I opted for a pastel sour while my companion asked for a drink called The Last Word - it was no longer on the menu but they obligingly made it for us anyway. The menu consists of mostly small plates and is seafood forward, but we shared a petite dish of steak frites, tender and cooked perfectly medium rare. Our server was very sweet but service was slow on the night, and by the time we received our utensils the food was cold. However we were not rushed and were able to linger a bit to finish our conversation. For those who savor finely concocted cocktails paired with fresh raw bar offerings in a salon-like setting, this is the spot for you.
