Love me some HYUN. What's not to love?! AYCE A5 Wagyu at an amazing price. Had an incredible experience here and left so full and satisfied. Our waiter hooked it up!!! On the last course, the AYCE portion, he brought out soooo many more courses of the ribeye cuts. My belly was so happy. The interior ambiance is so beautiful and a great vibe. Highly recommend coming here if you're an A5 Wagyu lover like me.
Opted for the hyun-makase. In my opinion you are definitely getting the experience and quality you pay for and can eat till your content. The quality of this meat is crazy for being in the US and the service is amazing. They even check your bags if you are tired and the whole experience as a whole delivered was nothing sub par.

All the meat is high quality and there's a good variety across the spectrum of fattier to leaner cuts. I particularly enjoyed the marinaded piece and the really thin cut that was on the fattier side. The server told me all the cuts but I have a hard time remembering when my eyes roll to the back of my head from the deliciousness. The meal felt so pure. Maximum enjoyment with the least amount of ingredients so the stars of each bite shine naturally. I highly recommend a reservation. We got a nice booth which made it feel more private and special.
Me and my friend come here every year. Best place for a AYCE wagyu for its price. The service is just amazing. And the ambiance is beautiful as well. Love how they start you off with a sample of all the cuts you get from the package you choose. Than after words you get to choose with cuts you want to order more of. The sides they give you is just delicious itself. And the salts they give you is just amazing. A delicious red wine salt, truffle salt and fresh ( real ) wasabi. Would be back again soon.
How could anybody give Hyun less than 5 stars? Legit all you can eat wagyu, and they check on you often so it isn't like "sorry we didn't ask you if wanted more but you're out of time". The service here is phenomenal! I've never been to a restaurant with so many different cuts of Japanese A5 wagyu available and you get to try them all, as much as you want, of any cut! Plus the sotbap with truffles and uni mixed in? Heaven.
We came to Hyun for all-you-can-eat wagyu and had a really great experience. The place was pretty quiet even thought it was packed. The service was amazing. The servers were super accommodating and cooked everything for us, which made the whole experience feel very easy and relaxed. After we finished the pre-set wagyu, they asked what cuts we wanted next and everything came out really fast, so there wasn't much downtime. I liked that we could order from lean to super fatty wagyu, and even though I couldn't remember which cut was which, the servers were really helpful and walked us through the options based on what we liked. Overall, great food, great service, and a really smooth experience. I'd definitely come back.
Came here for dinner, the restaurant was refined and elevated. Good for groups and also for couples or more intimate dinners. The staff was extremely insightful and answered all my questions. The Wagyu was delicious! I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend for wagyu lovers !
We made our reservation on Resy and went on a Wednesday night to celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed the AYCE for two people, and left feeling super full! We also added the cold noodle, sorbet, Jeju cocktail, and tea. We started with the non-marinated cuts of Wagyu. I would recommend starting off with the fatty pieces as when you get full you would prefer the leaner cuts. Then we were given the marinated cut for the second round, which we also really enjoyed. It was like a Korean pear marinate. We were also given banchans which were lettuce, kimchi, onion salad, and apple vinaigrette salad. After each piece of meat were cooked, they were cut and left on the side for you to enjoy and give suggestion to which salt or dipping to use. I really liked that they cooked everything for you. The staff were very friendly and helped us in choosing which cuts for our 3rd round. We probably did about 4 more cuts of meat after the first 2 rounds and we were beyond full. We ate and left less than an hour. I had saw other comments about people leaving hungry but I would have to say that was the opposite of my experience. I'd probably recommend small groups of people no more than 4. Overall, I had a great experience at Hyun, friendly staff, good cuts of Wagyu, and good vibes.
I will think about this meal till the day I die most likely... From the moment you step in you're treated like a celebrity who they are rolling out the red carpet for. The meat is so so tender and they do an amazing job explaining every meat to you and where it comes from, and obviously the best part of the meal is when you get to have your seconds. Planning my next trip to be around being able to visit HYUN again.
10 stars. If you like Wagyu, you have to go here. Very easy, organized, efficient and supremely delicious. Literally as much a5 Wagyu as you can eat, cooked to your liking in front of you. We had a beautiful little private room for 4, which you can request. Minimalist interior, but clean and handsome. Only problem is that it will ruin you for regular steak.
So glad I had the opportunity to try Hyun. $159 per person. AYCE Hyun-makase wagyu. 90mins. The meat was so tender. They cook your meat for you. The first plate is the unseasoned meat with all different cuts. There's seasoning available for you to add on to the meat. Second is the seasoned which my boyfriend and I had four plates of. Our waitress was very sweet. Our grill was never left empty. Come hungry. Definitely worth a visit.
This was truly a decadent dining experience all around and definitely a treat-yourself cheat meal. I walked in an hour and a half before closing as a party of one. I don't know what it is, but there is something so indescribably indulgent about having a quiet booth and a giant platter of A5 wagyu all to yourself. The service here is top-notch and made me believe I had my own personal chef for the night. They did an excellent job explaining the different cuts, best pairings, and provided recommendations based on my tastes. Every bite melted in my mouth and verbally whispered to myself "oh my gosh" every other bite. The banchan were excellently prepared as well and paired well with the meat. I will admit that around the 4th/5th course of the wagyu omakase, my palate was starting to get overwhelmed with the richness of the meat. I really enjoyed tasting the different cuts -- as someone with relatively minimal knowledge of A5 wagyu -- and found it educational. However, the different courses started to blend together and I had forgotten the names of the cuts that I found to have the perfect amount of fat by the end. I think allowing customers to express their personal preference upfront and tailor the omakase as you go would've been much more enjoyable in my opinion. I obviously wanted to try everything but I actually didn't care much for the fattier/higher quality cuts of Wagyu and found myself requesting leaner cuts near the end of my meal. Overall, a really solid spot, especially if celebrating an important milestone and are price agnostic. The staff will make you feel special and taken care of any event regardless.
a cozy yet otherworldly experience. hyun combines the ambiance of a small space with cuts of wagyu that absolutely explode with flavor and captivate your attention throughout the entirety of your meal. the meal starts out with all 9 cuts, and the staff will kindly cook them for you to perfection. afterwards, you can choose what cuts you'd like to have more of. if you love the experience of kbbq or jbbq, you must come try this place. it's a great place for the food lovers to appreciate the thought and effort put into creating a place like hyun.

The chefs at the tables were hilarious, attentive, and really made the experience memorable. I loved the Hyunmakase experience overall, especially the fattier cuts of Wagyu. They were rich, buttery, and perfectly balanced. I wish there were more side dishes, but the seasonings and accompaniments were excellent. I recommend the From Jeju and Don't look Neoguri cocktail to go with your meal. They also brought a dessert for me for my birthday! read more

First off, the staff were all extremely nice and helpful during our whole time there. While the menu does say unlimited, there is a 90 minute time limit and they do bring out the cuts relatively slowly. Not the end of the world, but just something to note. That being said, the food was fantastic and felt very high quality. We ordered the "Makase" course, where I personally LOVED the marinated meat (please try this lol) and the ribeye steak cuts. While the outside is very unassuming, the inside felt very upscale, modern, and sleek. Our group was larger so we ate at the front, longer tables; however, there were many smaller, cozier booths in the back. Overall, I would 100% recommend you to try this place at least once. Despite this not being the typical sort of place I'd eat due to price and convenience, the experience and quality was definitely worth it. read more

It's NOT all you can eat, it all they are willing to give you. Max they will give you is 3 plates for the table, not orders. Each plate is only four strips of meat, cut to small little pieces for stir fry. Food is good, atmosphere is clean and modern, service good and slow to make sure you don't get to order much. Will not recommend, too pricey for an all you can eat that is not true to its word. Good place to blow some cash, to flex and leave hungry. There is all of better Korean BBQ around there. read more

Hyun delivers a top-tier yakiniku experience. The meal kicks off with a first course of premium cuts -- ribeye cap, middle rib, and top rib were the clear standouts. The ribeye cap especially was insanely buttery and rich -- easily one of the best bites of the night. The second course features marinated meats. They were decent, but definitely took a back seat to the pure flavor of the first round. For the third course, you get to choose whatever you want -- we doubled down on the ribeye cap, brought back the middle rib, and finished with a round of leaner cuts to balance things out. Perfect progression. The uni was just okay -- probably wouldn't get it again. The ice cream was forgettable. Only real downside? No hot sake on the menu. read more
After hearing about this place over a year ago, this has been a bucket place of mine and I'm glad that I finally had a chance to go! I've read past reviews about this place and I knew that with the high fat content from the wagyu, I knew I had to pace myself. I felt like eating a lot of the banchan (vegetable based) and a bowl of rice helped a lot, and I didn't really feel much side effects to be honest. My favorite Wagyu was actually the marinated one (2nd course). I think the marinate includes apple and pear if I remembered correctly. For the refills (3rd+ courses), I liked it so much I got another serving of it! I enjoyed the service. However - one thing that did bother me was that they enforce their "leftovers" policy. I had two pieces of meat (small pieces that were cut-up) left, and they did wanted me to finish at least 1 of the 2 remaining pieces. read more
Incredible service, incredible ambiance and even more incredible A5 Wagyu. This experience is pricey but one must pay premium to enjoy the very best. Everything from the minute you walk in, you feel as if this restaurant exist just to serve you. I definitely recommend this to everyone to enjoy at least once. It's life changing first bite. We were a group of 4 for omakase and then the unlimited after! We had our own private booth which was really nice. The restaurant is beautiful and clean! The banchan was SO good and it's unlimited so we ordered more as the night went on. The cuts were all beautiful and marbled and very tender. They cook everything for you so you just need to grab your own pieces when they set the meat to the side! We all left super full! It's definitely a luxury experience more than anything with the high quality wagyu cuts so it's worth a try but I don't think I'll be going back any time soon. Also the side dishes were pretty spicy so beware if you're not good with spice but so delicious. The servers were all excellent and kind! Oh and my favorite I forgot to take a photo of was the marinated wagyu cuts!!! Very tender and very flavorful read more

HYUN is exactly what you would expect it to be. The interior feels premium without being overly fancy and service is on point. The "all you can eat" is coursed out as a sampling of "dry" cuts followed by a marinated set. Following these you can ask for an encore of anything you had. There is a really nice variety of cuts. The quality is top notch. No question the Wagyu here is the real deal. If you came to HYUN to indulge in Japanese A5 you will not be disappointed. If anything there was just too much. We barely even wanted to order anything as an encore and if I'm honest the meal was a bit hard on all of our stomachs the next day. I almost wish there were some cuts of American Wagyu or other hybrids as every piece was super rich. We also added the uni which was clearly of superior quality as well. You can put your skepticism aside and visit HYUN for an unparalleled offering of Wagyu at an excellent value. Especially if you have an iron gut. read more

I'm rating this place a 4 because of personal preference. The service was incredible and the food/quality were amazing. I just personally don't know that I would spend that much on just meat as it does become very rich/heavy after a while. My husband on the other hand said this was the best restaurant he's ever been to haha We ordered the Naemgyeon which really helped to balance the meal out. We felt like it was a good amount of food overall. read more
Had such an amazing experience here. The staff was very professional and kind. The staff cooked for us and explained the different cuts before it was served. I do wish they had a little print outs to tag which cut your eating because there was so many we wanted to remember our favorite. You can really taste the difference in each cut. We were seated in one of those isolated rooms which made us feel very special and it was very nice to be seated there as we celebrated our anniversary. They had an amazing selection of wines to pair with your meat. I don't know if they had a sommelier but that would've have been a nice experience. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone and I would definitely come back! read more
Expect to spend around $200 per person after tax and tip at HYUN. The sleek interior design really stands out, but the service can be a bit slow. When I visited, the staff member explaining the AYCE concept and cooked our meats had a heavy accent, and I found it a little hard to understand him clearly. I didn't order any drinks, but I assume they're on the pricier side. Although there's an à la carte menu, let's be real--everyone comes for the all-you-can-eat wagyu, so I'm not sure why anyone would order anything else. Here's how it works: they start by giving you a full tasting of various wagyu cuts, and then you can reorder as much as you'd like from that selection. There are so many cuts, I honestly couldn't keep track of which ones were my favorites. As expected with wagyu, the meat is incredibly fatty, and it can get overwhelming. Thankfully, the side salads, sauces, and dips are excellent--especially the salad, which is phenomenal--and you can keep asking for more. I was not a fan of the kimchi. Overall, I'd recommend coming once for the experience, but I wouldn't go back. It's a unique, indulgent meal, but not one I'd personally revisit. read more
Service: Wonderful but so slow! they really take their time in between serving so that you can slow down on your AYCE experience. It was nice that they would explain each cut of meat and help you pair the meat with other items placed on the table. Food: AYCE experience was wonderful. I prefer a stronger sear on my meat, so i had to tell them from the beginning to do so. The way the meat was cooked, it didnt have a sear, so the fat was not rendered. I would highly recommend trying all the different combinations of salts and banchan that they have to offer! On to my next adventure... read more
Our first stop on our New York City food tour was an absolutely wonderful experience. The place itself is really pretty, on the quieter side, and just a must visit. There are three rounds: unmarinated wagyu with lean and fatty cuts, marinated wagyu, and then the option to reorder either the lean and fatty cuts or the marinated wagyu. Since it is all you can eat, you can technically reorder everything. We were also given two different salts, truffle salt and red wine salt, both of which were delicious additions to the meats. However, the meat itself was so high-quality that it did not need any seasoning at all. I do not remember the names of each cut since we were presented with 12 different ones, but I can say that every single cut was incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. Everything was amazing. Banchan, which are Korean side dishes, was also provided. I was especially impressed with the salad, which was nicely dressed with a sweet yet balanced sauce. Other sides included a vinaigrette-based salad, kimchi, lettuce and onions, and more. Our table definitely took advantage of the lettuce strips to wrap the meats, adding a lighter and fresher touch to each bite. The service was hands down top-notch. Every little detail was attended to. Straw wrappers disappeared as soon as we opened them. Water glasses were constantly refilled, and our rice bowls were never empty. Tenzien was exceptional. He was professional, attentive, and incredibly sweet. Our wagyu chef was also extremely knowledgeable. Honestly, she was like a wagyu goddess. read more
The entire experience was !! Has the hyun omakase with so many cuts of wagyu. Each piece melted in your mouth and tasted amazing. It was great even on it's own. However I loved the addition of truffle seat and red wine salt to compliment as well. Only thing missing was ice cream included at end of meal but overall so so good. The bathroom situation was not the best, only two bathrooms so lines were often long and long wait. However they had great quality and scent of soap and lotion. Definitely something everyone has to try at least once in their life! Beef does not taste the same after this, even good steak doesn't compare as well to this wagyu. Definitely save up though, it's very pricey with everything tax and tip its over $200 per person read more
I came here for my birthday dinner and loved every moment of the hyun-makase experience! My favorite was the cut Wagyu, and the kimchi Ambiance: zen decor, cozy, soft lighting, includes more private tables divided by curtains and also booth seating Service: our server was very knowledgeable about the different cuts of Wagyu and gave us recommendations to pair the fresh cuts with the bread and kimchi. Our server also cooked the meat for us and got us more banchan throughout the meal Food: Unmarinated Wagyu cuts: so tender, fatty and melt in your mouth delicious! I loved every cut and enjoyed pairing it with the bread soaked in the Wagyu meat fat renderings Marinated Wagyu cuts: flavorful and sweet! These come in a close second to the unmarinated cuts for me. I enjoyed wrapping these in the lettuce with a bit of the scallion salad. Birthday chocolate dessert: I wasn't expecting a birthday dessert! The dessert seemed to be a frozen mousse in the shape of a cloud. This was rich, chocolaty and delicious This was a wonderful experience! Been wanting to try this AYCE bbq spot in the city for a while now! We were seated in a private booth/stall which we really liked. The interior is sleek & minimal throughout. Their servers are very attentive and polite. Their A5 wagyu quality is very fresh and buttery! It definitely gets fatty even after the first round of non-marinated but for the price of wagyu, I think $159 pre-fixe is pretty worth it. The marinated meats are so mediocre, it takes away from the quality of the meat and it's a bit over-marinated. I really enjoyed their side salad & scallion salad, all their veggies were very fresh. I would NOT recommend the sot-bap. The rice is so bland, and it tasted grainy. The uni portion is also so small that it disappears. It was so overpriced considering how disappointing it was. Overall, I'd definitely recommend for wagyu lovers! read more
Came here with 2 friends on a Monday evening. We got the omakase, 1 order of Sot-Bap, a cocktail, glass of wine, hot tea, and 3 scoops of ice cream for dessert. After tip and tax, our meal came out to $900 between 3 people. So was this hefty price tag worth it? Yes for the omakase. At $159 a person, the quality of the meat was definitely there. It is fatty for sure, so we ended up getting full pretty quickly. We did 1 "encore" round which is essentially getting to order again, but you are not able to choose the cut - only your preference between leaner cuts, fattier cuts, or mixed. We went with leaner cuts. Your meal comes with spicy scallion, a side of kimchi, and lettuce. There's also red wine salt, truffle salt, Sam jang, and wasabi to pair with your meats. The uni & truffle sot bap was actually really mid for us. There's tons of reviews raving about it here but at $130 it was disappointing :/ if I was to go again, I'd probably skip on the rice and just order the side of uni instead. For dessert we got the shiso ice cream & the hojicha ice cream. The shiso was more of an icy consistency and almost had an apple flavor to it. Super refreshing and a great way to end the meal. **YES - IT IS $159** Arguably the best meal and experience I have had this year, on one of the final weeks of the year. We have been to other KBB type places before - but this was way more intimate - with your own staff concentrated on you and your experience. We went with the wagyu tasting and AYCE package, adding cheese as well. The staff was great - explaining the different cuts, discussing the preparation, and providing any info we needed. They start you with bunchan - salads, kimchi, and I added a small bowl of white rice. The meat was succulent and really just melted. I'm not a fan of that overused phrase but here - wow it's on the nose. Meat was great, the marinated meat was even better and for the AYCE we were able to do another round of each. Rating: 4.5 Stars My friend and I came on a Wednesday night for my birthday dinner. We had made a reservation for 8 PM and were seated at a very comfortable and spacious booth. For service we had one waiter who served us and another table so it allowed for a very intimate service. The meal started off with some banchan. I thought the kimchi was just ok. But I loved the leeks and also onion salads. I got one of their mocktails as well and it was really tasty and helped cut through some of the fat in the later meal. We ordered the All You Can Eat Wagyu, a side of uni and for dessert we got a hojicha ice cream. The Wagyu was very tasty. I loved the first round of meat and the marinated short ribs the most. Each meat course was also served with mini toast toasted in the fat from the Wagyu so it was very rich. The side of uni was so delicious and went well with the Wagyu. Finally, I loved the ice cream definitely recommend ordering it if you want a dessert afterwards. All in all, a wonderful dinning experience but I can't see myself going back anytime soon since the Wagyu was very tasty but very very decadent. read more

The wagyu courses were so amazing and fresh. They offer so much food in the 90 minute window my party was full and finished for before the time limit was reached. The second course of marinated was the favorite of the group taste just like the marinated Wagyu we had in Japan read more
