My family and I love this place specifically because they have delicious food that someone with celiac and dairy restrictions can not only eat safely but that tastes great. The staff are great and it goes fast. I love to sit outside and I can't express how lovely and rare it is to find tasty gluten free (like actually) fare that understands food safety and preparation and the serious nature of food allergies. It's dog friendly, has great offerings and makes eating with allergens a much less stressful experience. I am obsessed with their chimmichurri sauce the fries and the baked goods. I can't tell the difference anymore with how gluten free tastes compared to normal food, but I brought my non gluten free boyfriend with me and he agreed on the taste! Another hidden and rare find. It is very hard to impress me with breakfast pastries and items. Most places just get their items from a third party, and these items nearly always taste like an afterthought. Not this place. As I asked the gentleman at the counter about the different muffins and croissants, I could tell by the level of detail that he was going into that these are not run of the mill breakfast items. I typically don't like over 95% of bakery items available at most breakfast or pasty places as they are typically way too sweet for me. I asked the gentleman his opinion, and he went into great detail (there was no one behind me). The ingredients are nearly all organic and locally sourced. I tried the pumpkin muffin, the chocolate banana muffin, and the chocolate croissant. These items were full of natural flavor and had very little added sugar. I can now see why the gentleman spoke with such enthusiasm. Too bad they are not located in Orange County, as I would end up here all the time. As I was leaving, a line started to form. [Parking]: Limited parking in their small entry plaza, there is a low amount of parking on the street, but extremely hard to secure a parking spot. I came out for a quick warm drink and ordered the spiced Mayan latte and the golden milk. The spiced Mayan latte was mild in flavor and the golden milk was not good, it tasted like soap. Luckily I read their receipt they handed me when I placed my order and it stated if I did not like my order to let them know. Why is eating healthy so hard sometimes? We came here for a late lunch, parking was tough. We squeezed in across the street in the dirt. My aunt had the boss burger, and said the burger Patty was fantastic. Great flavor, texture and was cooked well. The bread it was served on crumbled apart, so she had to eat it with a fork. I can vouch for the fries. They were almost shoestring, but perfectly cooked with a lot of tasty salt. I had the chicken and waffles. I intended to have a salad, but...they have chicken and waffles! They asked if I wanted butter, which threw me off, because, why wouldn't you??? The chicken was moist, cooked perfectly, and the waffles were *insert heavenly noise here* Maybe because I don't typically eat waffles, but I just had to eat them all. Even though I was full. They have a ton of seating outside, as well as inside. But it can get chilly in both places, as the doors were all wide open. Definitely bring a light jacket if you visit in the winter. Sunday morning brunch, quick line and straight-forward service. After ordering at the counter, we found an open table immediately and our food was out pretty promptly. Veggie bowl was generously portioned and delicious, especially with the hot sauces they had available. Finished every bite and felt very sated and satisfied. Fried chicken salad also very yummy, chicken was clearly freshly fried and had great crunch. Lava brownie was rich with satisfying nibs of chocolate throughout. I only come here because it's one of the few places that actually have semi clean food for someone who's highly sensitive to dairy and other common allergens - so I am thankful for that!! However every time I come here something goes wrong. The main thing is the service. It's absolutely horrid. The staff act as if you are burdening them by simply trying to place an order or ask simple questions about the menu offerings. Also the drinks are always gross I stopped ordering them because the inconsistencies are ridiculous. I actually watched a group of girls ask for their smoothies to be remade for a reason I could not hear. However the girl at the front asks the girl on bar to remake them and instead of making it right without hesitation. The girl on bar was asking her "why" and stated that she would only fix the drinks they already ordered (3 smoothies) I proceeded to watch the girl on bar dump the smoothies (MIND YOU THEY WERE ALREADY DRANK FROM) back into the blender. Personally, I have worked in food service for far too long to not notice simple things like this. Talk about cross contamination and overall POOR health safety practices!!! I also came here once and found hair In my meal, i kindly pointed it out to the girl working and instead of immediately apologizing she just took the plate to the back and came back out to tell me that they'll remake it. Another time I ordered a smoothie online and forgot to pick it up so I came back the next day and stated the situation.. the barista pulled the smoothie out from the fridge and said oh we still have it do you want it? GROSS!!!!! And before the owner comes on here to message me directly and say "why not bring it up to management directly before posting because we're a small biz" save it. Ive seen how she responds to feedback in a defensive condescending manner and therefore have nothing to say to you besides get it tf together. It was a teeny bit saltier than I expected but it was really good otherwise. Lots of cheese, lots of pesto, lots of onions and the gluten-free crust held well. In fact, while we only got the half, I could've eaten more because of how light the crust was. They are open until 7 pm so just keep that in mind. There's something on the menu for everyone. The veggie pesto scramble is a great choice for breakfast. Generous portion, flavorful, and nutritious. I've actually shared this with my husband with a latte and left satisfied! My biggest gripe is the parking and seating situation. Of the times I've been we have been able to find seating... but it has been a bit stressful. It's an order at the counter, find your own seat kind of joint. So nobody is helping you secure a table to enjoy your food at. There are a lot of seats outside but this place is popular -- they're usually full! The parking is also tough. There aren't a lot of spots on their side of the highway, so we usually park across the street in the dirt by the train tracks. It's not a bad walk, but when you've got kids and a stroller it can feel both dangerous and annoying. read more

But first let me just say I'm giving five stars only because I love this place and the food is just so good and I haven't had anything that I didn't like yet. Okay but I really need to tell you guys what I saw this morning and I REALLY HOPE THIS REVIEW REACHES MANAGEMENT/THE OWNERS... This morning, as my friend and I were waiting for our breakfast, we watched the employee at the counter opening new ketchup bottles to be put out... WITH HER TEETH. Let me explain further, you know how brand new ketchups often have that pesky inner seal that is super difficult to remove? Well, we sat there and watched her open every single bottle with her teeth, one after the other, in full view of all the customers, right at the front counter. I'm honestly floored. I currently work in the restaurant industry and if I saw that happening in our restaurant, we would need some serious re-training. I'm not going to stop eating there, because I have a pretty strong immune system and I'm not really squeamish... but honestly I don't think that was okay and I hope that Nectarine Grove addresses this issue and gives the staff some direction on how to properly handle food etc in a restaurant.
