We went here for a late dinner and had no problem getting a seat. The waitress came and gave us a small pitcher of water. She told us the specials and gave us some time to look over the menu. We ordered our drinks, appetizer and entrees all at once. For the appetizer, we ordered the lettuce wraps. The appetizer came with several wraps and a dipping sauce. For my entree, I enjoyed the Teriyaki chicken. We looked at the dessert menu however once we ordered the wait staff came back and said that they didn't have any so we opted out. The reason for the 3 stars, the service was super slow and our drinks came out after the appetizer was served. Then my husband ordered a soup and was wanting an entree, but the waitress walked away before he could say anything. Getting refills was a challenge in itself, personally I wish their glasses were bigger so the waitress doesn't have to make so many trips back. Nawa is truly one of the gems of downtown Fort Wayne dining. Great service & great food. Portion sizes definitely match prices. If you make a reservation via YELP, they provide you with a parking code for the parking lot located right beside the building (near the giant bison mural) - you'll just have to get out of your car to enter the code. Definitely get the pork belly buns for appetizers. Cocktails are delicious and carefully designed. LOVED the Hawaiian fried rice - it literally came in half of a pineapple. 10/10! read more

Nawa was a lot different as I went to eat it is an experience while me and my friend waited for an hour for reservations. There were different entrees and appetizers to try as I had spring rolls and duck wraps like pita bread. I had teriyaki chicken wings 6 of them and the fried rice last Friday night. Each of the 4 of us had something different: Basil beef stir-fry (w/fried rice), Basil beef fried rice, ramen with pork belly, and garlic pepper chicken (w/fried rice). None of us could completely finish our meals. All of us enjoyed what we ordered. We passed on dessert because we didn't want to over-stuff ourselves, but when our son off-handedly mentioned it was our anniversary when he picked up the check, Ive told us to hold on a moment, "don't leave!'. She came back shortly with a delicious vanilla -coconut cheesecake with a chocolate drizzle for us to share. The perfect bit of sweetness to end a delicious meal! I have a tendency to judge Thai restaurants on how well they make Pad Thai, so it's no surprise that on my first visit to Nawa, that's exactly what I ordered. Nawa's Pad Thai with tofu was perfect. It's a pretty generous portion. Plus, it pairs nicely with the Thai Iced Tea. I also shared the fresh roll with a friend. Our server was very attentive making sure we had plenty of water and checking-in on us regularly. We sat at a small high top table in the front window. It was raining quite a bit that evening, so there wasn't a lot of people watching, but it was nice to listen to and watch the rain. Nawa is a good place for a dinner date as it's dimly lit and beautifully decorated. It's also a nice place for a dinner meeting with a client as there are plenty of options on the menu. Food was good, but service was very poor. It took 45 minutes from order placed, two requests to our server about our time constraints, and one discussion with the manager, to get our meals. They either need to limit reservations/seating based on staffing or have staff to serve their reservations/seatings. I would normally say it is not the server's fault if the kitchen cannot get the food out. However, our server basically ignored us after our first request.
