Very difficult for them to call you back when you need a repair. I get pretty disgusted.

Got my Merits vision sport powerchair less than 6 months ago. At only 4 months my left front Caster wheel had a damaged wheel bearing. I removed the wheel and inspected the bearing and it was completely destroyed with only black dust left where the bearing once was. I replaced the wheel myself because repair service was a month away. Now on 10/31/26 the chair stopped functioning completely. The chair is fully charged but I only get 2 flashing lights and nothing on the control pad function and wheelchair is non function. I feel like I probably recieved a refurbished chair or one that was stored for years somewhere in a warehouse. They charged my insurance $10,000 when you can purchase a new chair all day long for under $4,000 read more

Each time I have called in, I wait at least 20 minutes BEFORE anyone answers the initial call. I've left a message and it's typically 2 days before I get a call back. not easy when a person can't walk and relies on the wheelchair. i have to drive an hour to get an appt this week but it would take them 4 - 8 weeks to come to the house to make adjustments or repairs. Do not recommend. read more

Customer service is unacceptable. They can't give you a date within a week. For scooters it does not work at all after two new sets of batteries were put in it within two months. I am due for a new scooter coming up.And I am gonna find a new company to deal with. read more

In my 25 years getting my sons wheelchairs this has been the absolute worst ever! Got the chair almost a year ago and still he use it because it's not fitted properly. Now because they initially ordered the wrong arm rests now insurance won't cover It. I'm so disappointed because back in my old state NSM was fantastic! I feel like bringing my sons chair to them This is horrible! read more

National Seating & Mobility - There it sits! - Mobility Equipment Sales & Services Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

In 2024 my client received prescription for a new manual wheel chair, but the wheelchair did not fit it was too wide, the wrong push handles. One month I met with Jeremy Pierce of National Seating & Mobility (NSM) together with a therapist from Swan Rehab regarding the new manual wheelchair. I have been trying to successfully connect with the employees of NSM office to complete the original order. As of today 7/30/2025, my client is still without a functioning wheelchair. He is is 78 years old, quadriplegic, has used wheelchairs for the last 50 years, and this is completely unacceptable. This company is so bad that is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. They are also a vendor from Humana, and Humana is actually very upset with this company. read more

2022 they brought the wrong wheels I waited 2 months later . Brought wheels but no parts for the wheels . Charged my insurance twice but now I have to wait agin so the can change my insurance for more parts . What a scam . read more

Experience was great with this company. They applied for the scooter and did all the insurance stuff needed. Even during covid. Gretchen came out and zoomed with the therapist. Both were great to work with and knew what they were doing. We now have an electric scooter and we are happy! It took some time but with covid and working with insurance companys it got done! read more

The branch manager, Steven Ortiz, is incredible. I couldn't find the right caster wheels for my Permobil and he hooked me up...for free. Like he paid for shipping too! He also made sure I got the right ones. When I couldn't find my chair's serial number, he was able to tell what wheels I needed with the pictures I sent. read more

Annie is the absolute worst to deal with. My fiance has been using this company for years and recently changed to a new company due to her complete lack of ability to do her job correctly. Nothing but excuses, one after another. Something that normally takes 4-6 weeks end up taking 4-6 months. You must constantly call to check the status just incase they need something from you, they will not call to tell you. read more

This is the worst company I have come across..in my 10 years in a power .they sent someone to do simple battery and tire replacement....they sent day laborers ..they probably got workers from Home Depot...lol....they broke the axel on my chair....now waiting a year..still left with broken chair....3 months to get loner chair...sitting on couch with no mobility....DO NOT USE THE COMPANY...YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU DID. read more

The previous two posters have echoed my dissatisfaction with this company. My power chair order of several years ago also took months and I was given unbelievable excuses the whole time. Last week someone from the company called and wanted to know if I needed work done on my chair. Since I have some issues I made an appt for today at 11:00. No one called or showed up. When I called the company the robot directed me to the place where messages are left. From previous experience, I had little hope that Annie or anyone else would contact me. After 5 hours no one bothered to let me know why the service man did not come. I am through with this group. My friend who needed a $30,000 chair got fed up with them and cancelled his order. The new company he used got his chair in a few weeks as opposed to the months he had waited with National. Those of us that have a need for a company like National have a lot of health issues and don't need the additional stress of delays, being ignored and of being lied to when anyone bothers to call us back. I will never use them again and will discourage my handicap friends to find a company that cares about their customers. I called two other places today to get in home work done on my chairs and both places used real live people not the robots that I dislike. Both places I called have terrific reviews on yelp and one of them can service my chairs. read more

I have yet to receive my chair and it has almost been a year in October. Every time I call, there is a new excuse why the order is not filled. In the meantime, I have been injured several times due to using my current chair which has many safety issues (hence the need for a new chair). They even tried to talk me out of using my secondary insurance because they said it would be difficult getting the correct paperwork. Because they dragged their feet on my secondary insurance (after taking six months to get approval from my primary insurance), all my initial paperwork expired and I had to start the process all over again. My secondary saves me $1000, of course I want to use it! I have suffered both physically and emotionally due to their incompetence. read more

In October of 2014 I contacted this company to order a new wheelchair. Normally it takes tops 6 weeks after ordering to receive a new chair. In November and after not hearing anything I called their office to see if I would be receiving this chair before December 31st. December 31st came and went and I had heard nothing from this company. January, February, March all came and went without me hearing anything. I called in April to see what was going on. Due to how long it had been, all medical forms had to be redone and they had said they called me and left messages. I had received no phone calls and no voicemails and when I asked why this was taking so long I was given no explanation. I filed complaints with their company and was in touch with compliance and still nothing was done to get my new chair delivered to me in a timely manner or get what it was I had requested. In August of 2015 they delivered a chair to me that was 100% not what I had ordered. I had sent numerous emails and made numerous phone calls explaining everything I was looking for and none of it was acknowledged. I did not accept the chair and told them again what I was looking for. In September of 2015 they delivered another chair. Regretfully, I accepted the chair and contacted the company for different parts to make the chair the way I needed it. They sent me new parts, but they were not compatable with the chair they gave me. Throughout this whole process I called several times and sent several emails requesting information. Not once did this company reach out to me to inform me of the progress of the chair or what was happening. I was rarely given answers to my questions especially when I asked what was taking so long. I have to use a chair every day, all day of my life and I need it to be customized to me. I used the chair from October 2015 to March of 2016 to see if I would get used to it and I couldn't. I took the parts I could use off the new chair and put them on my old chair. Now, I am back in my old chair and can not request a new chair for 3 more years due to insurance. This company did nothing to make this situation right and do what they needed to do to get me what I had asked for. As I told them, they are not a fast food resuraunt that gets orders wrong and it is overlooked, they deal with people who live in and rely on the products they provide and need the correct products for health reasons. I had waited for so long to receive a new chair and was so close to the finish line that I did not want to start the process over with a different company so I stuck it out toward the end. I had said that the next chair needed to be what I expected or I was cancelling the whole thing and going somewhere else. Jason the branch manager, instead of working to make things right for his customer said he would be fine with me cancelling my order. Also, when I had requested on several occasions that he contact me he never did. When I requested that he come back out to my home to re-evaluate and make sure he knew exactly what I needed for the second chair, he never came. Never in my life have I had so many problems with a medical supply company and I have been in a wheelchair for 20 years. And I agree 100% with another comment on here, Anne is terrible. This company's customer service is an absolute joke. Do not order anything from this company!! You have been warned. read more

HORRIBLE! It took months for me to get a new wheelchair. All Jason did was try to upsell other products I did not need. He also did this to my friend. Avoid at all costs! There are better companies out there! read more
