They still serve the deep fried frog legs a little spicier than the last time but they were still delicious. I also got their famous hot dogs and fries and they were just like I remember with that wonderful snap when you bite into the hot dogs and the fries crispy and delicious.I will definitely be going back again and again.

Visiting Manhattan, I had been wanting to visit the iconic Nathan's Famous in Coney Island for a long time, so we took the hour-plus ride excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. I ordered 2 plain hot dogs, 2 chili cheese dogs, 1 chili jalapeño dog, and 3 drinks -- somehow it came to $63. I asked the cashier for my receipt and my order number, and she just said, "I'll call you." She kept taking orders, and instead of starting my order first, she kept preparing smaller orders from people who ordered after me. I understand my order was bigger, but when you're first in line, you shouldn't have to watch 3 other orders get made before yours even starts. After waiting around 15 minutes, she finally called my name. When I checked the order, one plain hot dog was missing. I politely told her I ordered two plain dogs, but she immediately got defensive and insisted I only ordered one. Since she never gave me a receipt, I had no way to double-check. Instead of checking the register or reprinting the receipt, she just argued about it. She also handed us our drinks without straws and acted annoyed when I asked for them. To make things worse, my wife needed to use the restroom, but the doors were closed. When she asked about another restroom, the manager overheard the conversation and simply said they were open, even though they clearly weren't, then walked away without helping. At that point, I ended up walking across the street to White Castle and ordering two burgers just to replace the missing hot dog from my order. Honestly, Joey Chestnut ate 63 hot dogs in about 10 minutes. I seriously doubt whoever was helping me would've even prepared them in that amount of time. For a place as iconic as Nathan's Famous, I honestly expected much better customer service. The employee looked like she didn't want to be there, and the whole experience ruined the excitement of finally visiting. We did get some nice pictures, but overall the family left disappointed.

I have LOVED Nathan's Famous food ever since I was a young girl growing up in Coney Island and nothing has diminished my love for it. Hot dogs, French fries with cheese and delicious lemonade is my favorite order. The staff are amazing and their customer service skills are superb. I will always support Nathan Famous as long as their doors stay open.

There's just nothing like a Nathan's hot dog. It's obviously not upscale dining, but it's classic, comforting, and exactly what you want it to be. I've been here countless times. I love their chili cheese dog and the corn dog nuggets, but you really can't go wrong with a regular hot dog topped with sauerkraut and mustard. They used to have an orange cream milkshake that I loved, please bring it back! I can't be too critical of the service, especially during the summer when the line can stretch nearly into the street and the staff is handling a thousands of orders. That said, a handful of times, I've had employees go out of their way to be especially friendly and helpful, which I always appreciate. If you want to avoid a long wait, winter is definitely the best time to go, though that was easier back when I was a local. I'll always have love for Nathan's Famous.

Honestly - what's not to love, chili dog was fantastic, fries out of the world, and I even tried a raw oyster. Fast service and great nostalgic ambiance.

Monday is a great day to go! No lines. Choice of outdoor tables. Bathrooms were damn near immaculate! Staff was on chill mode! Jaden provided optimal customer service! Food was fresh and delicious!

The food was okay, we didn't really find it to be anything special. When we got the food, the fries tasted as if they were sitting for a while. We went on a weekend so the seating was packed, it was hard to find an available table. And nobody really goes around cleaning them, so if the person before you didn't pick up the table will have their trash for you to clean.

There's nothing like hitting up Nathan's for a delicious burger and fries. My perfect NYC beach day is taking the Q down to Brighton, spending a lazy day by the water, and moseying over to the Coney Island boardwalk for lunch. The wait is worth it for the original taste. Then, for dessert, head next door to Williams' Candy!

If you're coming here, might as well get the Nathan's by the boardwalk. It's the iconic Nathan's location. I got a hot dog to share with a friend, just because it's the classic but nothing special. The main thing I was impressed by were the prices. It wasn't marked up as much as I expected. Corn dog nuggets and the mozzarella bites were the standouts. I would get those over the hot dog any day.

You absolutely cannot come to Coney Island and not go to Nathan's You might as well get back on the train or in the car and go home if that's the case. They're my favorite hot dog I usually get it with ketchup but this time around I did it with no toppings and it was so good. The service is you walk up you order you get your food You eat a sit down or you take it to go No frills nothing exquisite as far as service goes. As far as the ambiance it's Coney Island before there was big corporate moving in to the area The only thing more original than Nathan's is the freak show they have two blocks over That I also recommend. So if you in Coney Island definitely stop by have a hot dog The only downside is it's very pricey but it's the Taurus trap type of pricing but you won't be disappointed food wise

The hot dogs here have a legendary unique flavor that keeps you coming back for more. This institution was created by one of our great immigrants in 1916. It was only a hot dog stand and grew to what stands until today. The fries are delicious and now it includes hamburgers ect under the tent. This location is one of a few but this is the first ! Right on coney Island a block from nyc transit and the beach. So many memories here as a kid enjoying coney Island and Nathan's famous. I would've gave them a 5 star rating but I still remember that dreaded line but it's mostly automated now and the process to receive your goodies has improved.

Normally, I wouldn't recommend getting a burger at a Nathan's hotdog place. But this burger was tremendous. It was so tasty. Hot. I love the toppings. My butterscotch praline milkshake was fun as well. Some crunchy things in it that you really have to chew down on, but overall really satisfying. A little runny. I prefer my shakes a little more solid. Nice to eat outside

when in coney island... it's a neat experience but not sure I really recommend. The hotdogs were kinda pricey, seating was packed, and there was a long line to get the food. the hotdog buns were a bit dry, but it's really hard otherwise to go wrong with a hotdog! i enjoyed it overall but not overwhelmed. we also got a idea milkshake which was yummy and good for a hot day. overall, glad I went for the novelty but not something i'd do again.

How much for the clams on a half shell?

They range from just clams to combos. $14-20

What kind of clams and oyster they are serving?

Fried & on the half shell clams. I don't recall any oysters.

Do they still sell fresh oysters on the half shell.?

I was there last year and I didn't see any, but then again, I wasn't looking for them!

Do they sell foot long hotdogs?

I don't think it was foot long but it was bun length

Do they still have their plant based dogs? They don't appear on the online menu.

No

Does this location offer any indoor seating? I'm going for New Year's with my kids and we don't want to eat outside in the cold.

Maybe this changed over the past few years, but yes, they had indoor seating when I was there earlier this year.

Any of my local Yelpers know the inside scoop for the old Surf Theater across from Nathan's .... new scaffolding up this year?

Scaffolding still there June 17th, no other insight..

Let's start with the good - the service and ambiance were on point. I went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. It was busy inside, but since I was a solo diner I was seated immediately by the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. Probably 3-4 different people checked in multiple times throughout the meal. Where I struggle is with the actual burger itself. As a non-resident New Yorker, for me $22.50 is a lot to spend on a burger and fries. It needs to rock my world at that price point. And it just didn't. I got the B&B Burger. The onion ring tasted like it had been refried a second time to make my burger. The bread was crumbly like it was on the verge of going stale. The actual beef patty itself was decent - good flavor. Usually I can overlook an okay burger if the fries are top notch, but these fries were under-seasoned and also 'just okay'. I also got a side of Chicken Tenders. These were good - no complaints here. I really wanted to like this spot, but not sure this would be a return visit for me.

Low and behold Brooklyn Burger and Beer looked like just what I wanted, so I walked in, grabbed a stool at the bar and jumped into their menu. What a difference a 1/2 mile makes! This place was perfect and its menu was choke full of bargains and bonuses. This place was cute; I mean the bar was front and center and was very impressive but the table seating was charming too. Their lunch menu has a great "build your on burger" which i had a blast doing: Burger Cheddar Cheese Bacon Grilled onions Lettuce Tomato Mayo / BBQ con The service was exceptional, the ambience was very "Taverny [sic]" and my lunch was delicious!

Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. That's all for now, see you on my next review.

They say some things age like fine wine, and I believe this restaurant falls in that category. After 55 years, this family oriented fast food shop known for its famous roast beef sandwich and other popular greasy goodness is still standing. I swung by recently for my usuals and glad to report that everything still tasted the same, just slightly more pricey year after year as expected. My regular order has always been the Roast Beef w/ Cheese, which was maybe $4 when I first tasted it over 25 years ago. It is now $9.45 or $.50 less for no cheese. Regardless, the roast beef (medium) is still tender and juicy, piled on top of a soft and pillowy, freshly made bread that's been dunked in a bath of delicious beef gravy. The ooey gooey cheese makes it complete for me. Everything else is solid. Nothing fantastic or worth driving out of your way for. Don't come here looking for the best version of everything on the menu. However, if in the neighborhood, this place is an inexpensive experience that brings you back in time, when the world was less complicated and a night out with family meant a delicious trip to a local restaurant like Roll-N-Roaster. Enjoy it for what it is and you'll have a good time.
