Natalia is a lash lift wizard! I've gotten my lashes lifter several times and none of them were as good as Natalia. My lashes are stick straight and hard to curl (I've even had a lash lift that failed because of how straight they are). But it seems like stick-straight lashes are Natalia's expertise as she got mine lifted to the moon! It's so amazing to just wake up with lifted lashes these days I inquired about a lash lift through Yelp messaging and she responded promptly. We arranged an appointment that fit my schedule well. When I got in to her office, she offered me water and made sure I was comfortable. We discussed what I wanted, my history with lash lifts, and signed and agreement. Minutes later she got to work and she was obviously so well-versed with lash lifts. She explained she has moved from Russia and has been doing this for the past 6 years. She worked so skillfully, yet quick -- it's like she knew what to do as she has mastered her technique many times, which I'm sure she has! Her solution that she used was good for me to be able to wash my face shortly afterwards. I still carefully cleaned my face (keeping in mind the Elle Woods perm quote), especially keeping my lashes dry. I'm sure my method wasn't perfect, but my lashes sure stood up to it (no pun intended). I'm going to make it a point to follow Natalia as she exudes the utmost confidence in her craft. She also uses the best tools! All I'd say now is that Natalia's skills, evidently built over years and years of hard work and experience, are so clearly showcased in the excellence she delivers to her clients and her attention to precision and detail. This was my first time ever going to get my lashes done, and she was so kind and made me feel very comfortable. Honestly, for the affordable price, I had my doubts about these lashes, especially since I have short straight Asian lashes... but the difference, even though it's more subtle, is definitely there. I've never seen a yelp business with all 5-star reviews live up to its hype except for this one. I will absolutely return, no doubts. One more note: If you have short straight lashes like me, don't expect for it to look like you got extensions. A lift is just making what you already have accentuated- I'd say it looks like I've curled my lashes well, all the time. But if I put on some mascara, it is way more noticeable for me. I arrived for my 12:20 appointment at 12:10, thinking it's courteous to be at least 10 minutes early. At 12:13, Olga, the specialist scheduled to do my lashes, appeared somewhat confused after finishing with a client, and I thought it was my turn. However, she called another client instead. Olga then remarked that I was early. I gently clarified that my appointment was at 12:20 and I was just 10 minutes early. This interaction made me quite concerned. Considering my appointment was set to start in just 7 minutes, it was evident Olga would not be able to complete another client before attending to me on time. She then explained that her prior client was late, which she could have told me earlier instead of making me feel bad or wrong for coming in early and stating that I may have been scheduled with another specialist. I ended up starting my session 30 minutes late. This raised questions about their scheduling and time management practices at the salon. They should have a cancellation policy for clients who are late, as we also comply with their cancellation and rescheduling policy. Just a few minutes from starting the lash lift and tint, my eyes started watering a lot, which has never happened before in other sessions I've had in the past with my original salon (we moved, and was looking for a closer salon that can do my lashes). Olga tried multiple techniques to help stop the watering, but I ended up feeling more uncomfortable, which may have exacerbated the issue. I offered to assist by placing the Q-tip in the corner of my eye, as her technique seemed to cause excessive watering. She permitted me to hold the Q-tip but noted that I was applying too much pressure, which I found perplexing since I could gauge the pressure myself. Subsequently, she informed me that it was no longer necessary for me to hold the Q-tip since the watering stop. She kept reminding me to relax my eyes and gave me a lecture about yoga, but it was difficult as my eyes' natural reflexes were causing the reaction, not something I could easily control and would do on purpose. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping the lash lift will last (usually 2 mos. from my previous salon). I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, trusting she followed all the steps meticulously and didn't rush the process. Overall, I felt a bit uneasy about the experience. I hope they consider better scheduling arrangements and handle specific clients more gently. A more mindful approach would undoubtedly create a more satisfactory experience. read more
