I was excited at the prospect of having lovely eyelashes and immediately set up an appointment with Trang after reading such fantastic reviews on Yelp. Her location was literally a massage table bed in her living room. I felt awkward and uncomfortable there. I did not see her use any sanitation procedures before touching my eyes, such as gloves or cleaning my lashes, and she applied so much glue to my lashes that they looked chunky and eventually hurt. The lashes fell off after 2 days, in mass holes, breaking my lashes. I was really upset, so I scheduled another appointment with her, because she was unable to see me right away. On the day of my appointment she told me she had booked another client on top of my appointment because something in the computer system for her appointments messed up. I was luckily flexible that day. I got my refill lashes, and the next day they fell out again in a different spot. I was very frustrated. I ended up having to wait an entire month this time with my lashes looking ridiculous. When I finally was able to get my appointment, at midnight the night before my appointment she sends me a text message asking me to confirm. I had already confirmed for my appointment over email earlier that day. I was SLEEPING. I did not respond because I was unconscious. She sends another text stating that because I didn't respond she would cancel my appointment. In the morning I get the text messages, and I furiously admonish her for 1. sending a client a text message at MIDNIGHT, and 2. canceling an appointment because the client didn't respond in 10 minutes AT MIDNIGHT, and 3. being a complete flake. I went to a different place, which I found here on yelp, because I emailed one of the other users who left an unhappy review here after having experienced THE SAME situation. I've seen Trang bimonthly for the last three months and I tip 20%. I've been happy with her work but I give her two stars due to poor customer service. Last week I told Trang I was frustrated with the ongoing cancellations of my appointments and the speed of my last touch up. This is the first time I have ever commented on either area despite every appointment after the first one being cancelled (and told to reschedule the following week). She responded: it doesn't matter how long it takes as long as I think I'll pulled all the lashes that I can through. She then told me good luck finding someone who can do a better job. I've have tried to reach her via the provided number as well as email. And the appointment" system is shut down. In one of my messages I requested that she at least me know whether she is unable to take appointments or just unwilling to see me. It has been 5 days and I have received no response. In my opinion, customers should be able to give feedback in a polite manner and receive similar follow up. read more

Trang is nice and patient. Seems like she does great for everyone else but not my cup of tea. She referred to my eyelashes as "peach fuzz" and she didn't really know how to work with them. She ended up putting Y lashes on to maximize volume but didn't work out too well and weighed down my lashes. My lashes ended up lasting 3-4 weeks because there was so much glue on my lashes which made it look super chunky. I tried to schedule another appointment and she wasn't able to schedule one with me. Now, it's time to share my " horrible experience " .Trang is a sweet person but she almost destroyed my lashes forever by putting so much glue and multiple lashes on one single healthy lash just to make them look so fake. The black glue residue fell on my eyes and irritated them and made my lashes very unhealthy. I went to another lash extension service and they had stated that they had fixed a lot of Trang's clients lashes as they complained about the same thing I had. I have never had eyelash extensions before, nor have I worn falsies but my friend recently got them and I thought they looked kinda nice. So I thought I'd give them a try. So I was doing research and I found Trang just looking up "eyelash extensions westminster, ca" (I don't live there but I heard there are a lot of salons there...) And the first website that popped up was Yelp's page on "Le Joli Salon." So I read the reviews and everyone seemed to rave about Trang's handiwork. So I emailed Trang and asked her pricing (it doesn't go into full detail on the salon website) and also for some before/after pictures (extensions aren't cheap and I wanted to make sure I was going to the right person!) Trang promptly replied to my email and was VERY professional and just -- darned nice. So I thought, "Hey, why the heck not..." and booked an appointment. So I packed up my hubby and baby for the trip (actually only a 35 minute drive... -- woulda been faster if not for the RETARDED traffic that day! Argh...) So, not accounting for the hoards of drivers that would be on the road that day, I was late by 20 minutes. I arrived at an easy to find, little salon in the corner of the plaza and walked in to find Trang on the phone trying to call me (OOPS! I left my phone at home -- SOOOORRY TRANG)... But even so she was still REEAALLLLY nice about it which made me appreciate her right from the beginning! (You don't know how many times I've gotten dirty looks or snippy "Do you KNOW your appointment was 10 minutes ago??") Trang made me feel really happy and welcomed and began promptly. She first consulted me on the "look" I wanted to achieve and explained the types of lashes she had and her recommendations. (I hate places that dont even really consult with you and assume they know what you want already!) But since I was a lash virgin I just told her I wanted it to look natural and let her do her magic. So then we began. Let me tell you, this girl can multi-task! The way we were gabbing like little schoolgirls about hunky actors and models, I would have forgotten what I was doing like a hundred times and it probably would've taken like 10 hours. But throughout she kept a great pace and was always focused (but I never got the sense she was rushing eventhough I was so late already and she had back-to-back appts.) Being a scientist that she is, she was a pro with the tweezers and being a girl who maintains her own looks, she really knows what a girl thinks is "pretty." So overall it was a great experience. STILL AAAMAZIIINGGG!! Back in late October I got a full set from Trang before I jet-setted away to Hawaii for a week-long vacation. Let me tell you: these bad boys lasted not only the whole week of fun in the sun, pool and ocean (I'm talking hours of water play everyday!)... but I actually didn't need to get them refilled til today! Granted, except for the abuse I did to them in the water while on vacation, I made sure to take care of them very carefully (the last time I had gotten them, my inebrieted-self ended up pulling the extensions out! :x WHOOOO DOES THAT?! So I just got back from getting my lashes done by Trang. I've been meaning to write this review last month when I first got my lashes done by her so here it goes. The first time I got my lashes done by her was great. She warmly greeted me into her little set up. It is a very relaxing atmosphere. I described to her what I wanted (I wanted something natural but beautiful for my upcoming wedding in Aruba) and she was able to give me exactly what I wanted and more. She knew what would look best based on my eye shape and the look I wanted. During the whole process we talked about everything. She's so nice I feel like I've known her like a good friend. She's great. After she was done I looked in the mirror and loved her work. I got so excited for my wedding/honeymoon. So the real test was when I was in Aruba. I had a whole week on the island before the big day. I was a little cautious about going into the pool/beach and getting my lashes wet. A fear of some of them falling out or twisting around and looking funny before my wedding. But I was like what the heck I'm on vacation and wanted to enjoy myself.So get this, the lashes lasted and stay beautiful well after a week of splashing around in the water (and countless showers) and makeup applications and removals. And well after the wedding more splashing around and the lashes didn't budge. So up till now (a little over a month) they totally lasted and I went in to do my fills. I still had a good amount of the lashes still on considering all the water activities i did. But my lashes were growing out and I need them redone if anything :) BTW after I got my lashes done the first time my husband loved the look of it way better than the lash strips I used to use. He loved that it looked more natural than the strip (even though most other people couldn't tell when I used the strip). But he said that the lashes by Trang brought out my natural eye shape (which I totally agree too). Plus he loved how much faster I was able to get ready. I first started going to Trang for eyelash extensions in March 2013 on a recommendation from my coworker. I'm pretty low maintenance and don't wear makeup on a daily basis, much less false eyelashes. Yet I loved how my coworker's lashes looked and decided I wanted the same for my November wedding. As everyone else has stated, she works out of her home. Be aware, she does have a very friendly cat. I love cats and wasn't bothered when he jumped up on the massage bed and settled between my calves during one session. I haven't seen him every time though. I'm glad I started my sessions 8 months before the wedding 'cause it did take some getting used to. I wear contacts and whenever I didn't wear them, my eyes were very irritated from the glue. This irritation usually occurs periodically over the first 2 weeks or less. (I just visited my Optometrist and he said it's very common, he recommended an over-the-counter eye drop for contact lenses to flush my eyes out every morning). Besides that, I love the look of my lashes. She started me out with a natural look - slightly longer lashes, not too thick or full. Since then, she's built up the length and density. I constantly get compliments on them, even when they're sparse and ready for a fill. Despite having oily skin and sleeping on my face, the lashes last pretty well. I'll occasionally have a wacky lash that somehow turns upside down, but I attribute that to my terrible sleep pattern. Regarding appointments, I've never had any trouble. I booked all my sessions leading up to my wedding well in advance, about 6-8 weeks apart. Of all the sessions, she had to adjust one, which wasn't a problem and I was informed several days before. If a prior appointment ended early, she'd text to let me know I could start my session earlier if available. You can pay in advance via PayPal when booking the appointment online, or after your session via credit card. I don't wear a lot of makeup and most of the time I look like a mess because I don't have time to get ready. I used to have this misconception that only high maintenance makeup gurus get these kind of things. I was so wrong. When you get lash extensions you have the option of going as natural or as extravagant as you want! I opted for natural looking lashes that lengthened my nearly nonexistent ones. I'm in love with my new lashes! I feel like it brightens up my whole face and gives me some kind of allure even without makeup! Making an appointment with Trang was easy she has an efficient online scheduler. She gets booked up quickly though, so be sure to make your appointment ahead of time. She knows what she is doing and has lots of experience in lash extensions. She is also very friendly and offered me tons of tips from how to take care of my lashes to wear to get my nails done. I also did some research before getting these and other websites said you can't wear your contact lenses during application or can't wet the eye area for 24 hours. That's a bunch of nonsense! Trang said that with skillful application the lashes should have no problem getting wet even right after the appointment (thank goodness I do not want to go 24 hours w/o showering). I was in and out in an hour! Definitely worth it. Even if you feel like lash extensions might not be for you, you should try it out before making any decisions about it. For one Trang does lashes for clients that fly in from other areas or drive long distances to get their lashes done. She has always been very professional and my lashes don't fall off they fall out when my own lashes do....so I need a refill only every two months! I have been trying to find a great place to get eyelash extensions after being disappointed at another location for eyelash extensions. After reading all the great reviews about Trang on Yelp, I decided to her a try. I booked my first appointment online and it was very easy to do. I was a little hesitant at first when I learned that she conducts her business at home, but because of all the great reviews, I felt that as long as the job is done right, I will be a happy camper. When I showed up at her house on the evening of my appointment, she was very pleasant and hospitable. I told her exactly how I wanted my eyelashes and she advised that she will do the best she could since I wanted them very full and long. The ambiance was very nice and relaxing, with the music and lighting. The atmosphere is as if you were in a room at a spa, not at a house. I fell asleep while she was applying the lashes, but I normally do when I get eyelash extensions or facials. When she was finished, she used a small fan to dry the glue. When I looked in the mirror she provided me, I was very pleased with the results. My eyelashes were full and long. It's been about two weeks now since my appointment with Trang, and only one, I repeat, one eyelash has fallen off. They are still as full as when I had my first appointment with her. I had gone to my previous lash lady for years and even followed her from location to location, when she moved. I noticed a friends lashes and asked her where she went and she gave me Trangs information. I am a busy single parent of 3, with a full time job, it is very hard for me to make time for myself. Finally, I made the appointment and I must say I was an amazing experience. A quite, tranquil room, with a soft, comfy recliner chair, blankets, soft music. You can't help but relax. I have never gotten lashes done, but when I saw my friends lashes (who she gets it done by trang) on our 2 week vacation to spain, we were swimming & snorkeling every other day and her lashes still on after 8 weeks, I was sold!!! I wAs a big hesitate because it was weeks before my wedding, so I txt her about my concerns & she replied back right away & answered all my questions. I had no problem getting a hold of her in all of our convos. I ended up getting it done 2 days before my wedding, & omg!!! I love love love love them!!! I had a 3 week honeymoon in Europe & maldives & they lasted the entire trip & I hardly put any makeup on. I just applied blush & lipstick! For once I didn't have to put eye liner on! We snorkeled, swam, & scuba dived & they still stayed on! I got a re-fill 9 weeks later cuz they were still looking good... & my 2nd re-fill 8 weeks later. I get so many compliments... I love how they look & last! I have friends who go elsewhere & pay half the price, but it doesn't look natural and they come off in 2 weeks. Trang is also accommodating. First off, my lashes are super short, but after Trang was done with them....they looked amazing!!! Some of my friends go to these cheapy places for their lashes, and they always turn out to look like trannies (not to insult anyone but it's true). The lashes are too big, way too fake looking, always chunky because of the mascara and just plain messy. My lashes from Trang looks 100% real and legit!! Please refer to the other reviews about the decline in service and quality after the first appointment. My lashes fell out after a couple visits. She doesn't concern herself with the quality and integrity of the persons lashes. She also refuses to serve you if you share even the slightest concern. I voiced a minor concern to her and wasn't planning to find a new stylist. However, she left me no choice when she told me "good luck finding anyone in orange county who can do it better." After much practice, I've learned to do my own w-lashes (This is what she uses instead of individual lashes). I found a great glue on ebay from China and w lashes at an online professional shop and I couldn't be happier with the results. If you're going to spend the amount she charges, at least find someone who values you as a customer. There are cheaper avenues than this with equivalent results. read more
