I LOVE getting my lashes done by Trang! She is seriously the best. She's so sweet and the atmosphere is always so relaxing and comfortable. I was always scared to get eyelash extension because I always hear ppl say that they make your natural eye lashes fall out, but that is so not true. I'm so happy with my lashes. This is my third refill and each timeTrang listened to my needs. I've had a pretty crazy experience before I tried Trang. Basically I went to another gal, and she gave me some lashes a long and dark as if you can see them 20 miles away! Ummm, not really my style! So I had to take them off before my vacation! Trang wasn't available at the time so that is I went to this gal! It was definitely cheaper than Trang, but I suppose it wasn't my style. The first time I went to Trang, I was very excited. There is no one else I trust to do my lashes! I've been going to Trang for over 5 years and she does an amazing job every single time. She is very meticulous and makes sure my lashes look perfect! I love having high volume lashes and she makes them look super full without feeling like my lashes are weighed down or heavy. I've also been able to swim, go to the beach, and snowboard without any problems and they look great the entire time. I always make sure I see Trang before big holidays or vacations, and she even did my lashes for my wedding!! They turned out perfectly and I got so many compliments. I think Trang is one of those people that once they become successful and popular, they forget how they got there in the first place and start treating their customers with a "take it or leave it" attitude. I had been going to Trang for many many years. It's been such a long time that I can't even remember since when. I first met her when she was still working out of her apartment in Fountain Valley, then she moved to Irvine which is where she works now. All the negative reviews about her poor customer service are true. I'm a very punctual person, so when she kept canceling my appointments at the last minute, that was when it became a problem for me. I didn't understand why she would list the availabilities on her website but then couldn't keep the appointments. When I tried to reach her by text messages/voicemails/emails like the other review mentioned to verify whether she was unavailable or unwilling to take me as a client anymore, I too never got any responses. Trang has a lot of clients that are doctors, lawyers, or are married to those high-profile professionals. She also has clients who, according to her, would fly from other states or cities to see her, so I think maybe that's why she doesn't care if she loses a few. Trang's lash work may look great if someone is new to wearing lash extensions or if that person has never gone anywhere else. But once I started wearing them longer, I could see how sloppy she's become. She uses lots of glue so it may create the illusion that the lashes were fuller. She puts way too many extensions on a single lash to give the volume (3D, 4D, 5D, etc.), so basically my own lashes couldn't handle the weight of the extensions and would start pointing in all kinds of directions and just looking messy. I think in order for someone to be truly successful, he or she not only has to possess great talents, but also needs to treat people with respect, and it's definitely something that Trang is lacking. read more

On a flight to Dallas, I sat next to a woman that had gorgeous lashes....during the flight I tried to inconspicuously check out her lashes in more detail to see if the real or artificial. Since there were no telltale signs of glue or bump so I assumed that the woman was blessed with great lashes. When we landed, I commented what gorgeous lashes she had and what product she used to make them grow. She said her secret was Trang and that having lash extensions changed her life. My new lash idol said it takes her less than half the time to get ready, there were no damage to her real lashes and Trang's lashes lasted for weeks. Trang is super fast, detail-oriented, and extremely talented. The first time I saw her, she removed all my old extensions (from another place) and applied a full set of volume extensions in less than an hour! She also used these "L-curl extensions" that I'd never seen before but am now obsessed with. I've gone to a couple other places for my eyelash extensions, but no one else's work comes close to Trang's. She knows how to apply volume lash extensions to Asian eyelashes that are often fine, delicate, and can't hold multiple extensions. You know the feeling when you're brimming with happiness because your stylist did exactly what you requested, and more, AND it looks even better than you expected? That's how I've felt with Trang's work the three times I've seen her. I think it's pretty unusual for people to be completely satisfied with their stylists work, so, thank you, Trang!! ******BEWARE! DO NOT USE TRANG! FOR YOUR OWN SAKE!!!!!!!***** Before scheduling with Trang I read all of the reviews but seeing as she has 4 and 1/2 stars I ignored the negative (and scary) reviews and went for it. Worst decision of my life. There aren't TONS of bad reviews, but when the bad reviews are SO bad.. Listen to them!!!! When I first left Trang's I was IN LOVE with my lashes. They looked incredible! But on the first day without me touching them, 2 fell out.. I had never gotten lash extensions before so I wasn't sure if this was normal or not so I brushed it off and continued loving my new long beautiful lashes... Day 2 came around and suddenly I saw all of this black glue clumping at the base of my lashes and there were a few lashes that weren't attached to the base of my real lash and instead were glued in the middle to a lash so they just kinda hung there looking funky. Super bummed, but again, wasn't sure if this was standard for lash extensions (although at this point I started thinking back to those horrible reviews I had read). By day 4 at least 6 lashes had come out and the clumping of the black glue became very uncomfortable. I had gaps between lashes where you could very clearly tell that lashes had fallen out. I had these long lashes clumped in certain spots on my lid and in other spots I had these sparse little (natural) lashes.. So obvious and not cute at all! I decided a week later to try a different place. Turns out, by chance, I knew the girl I ended up being scheduled with from high school. Huge sigh of relief for me because I knew this girl would be honest with me about whether or not this was normal, if they were done properly etc. Basically she said that she was so glad I came in because with the amount of glue and the type of lashes used (volume lashes) I could have potentially lost my real lashes along with the fake ones had I not come in in time. She said its gonna take about a month to fix, with an appointment every two weeks (two appointments to get me back on track isn't bad but keep in mind she spent 2 hours a visit on me carefully trying to remove these awful lashes without also removing my natural lashes) she was able to clip a lot of the ones trang applied out, some on the first visit and some on the second visit and 3rd.. but some were in so badly that the natural lash its attached to would have either needed to come out or I could continue to brush my lashes and hope that they separated on their own. Lucky for me I was headed out of town on vacation to cabo after my first visit with my new lash girl, which she said was great because being in water she hoped would loosen up those lashes we want out and it did just that for a decent amount of them. Basically the horror stories and unfortunate experiences came true for me. I will say trang is very sweet. I tipped her $25- way too much- now I know. But her work is awful, not professional, and I doubt she has a license. PLEASE!!!!!! do not give your money to this woman. Go to a reputable lash bar or salon that has licensed estheticians performing the lash extensions. Save yourself the money and unfortunate/stressful experience of using this woman who works from her home. I cannot stress enough how much I regret not listening to those negative reviews. If anyone needs a good lash place in the OC area message me directly and I would be happy to give you the name of the new salon I now go to. I think the girls who love their lashes by Trang so much either... a) by luck have had good experiences OR b) haven't had their lashes done by a legit lash girl so they don't know how they're actually supposed to look or feel (just like me at first). She really needs to improve in managing her schedules. She either overbooks or she has one fucked up scheduling system where it screws her clients over. The first time I went there, she had another client with her in my time slot. She told me to wait 45 minutes in the car and she will text me. After I walked into her apartment, she mentioned that she penciled me in her calendar but forgot to update it in her system? Whatever that means. Anyway, lashes were awesome and beautiful. I was communicating with her that I was getting married the following month and I really needed to get my lashes a week before the wedding. This wasn't just a one time conversation either. I had set an appt. a week before my wedding, and she canceled on me asking to reschedule. I reschedule on the only day that she had available...which was 4 days before my wedding. That day, there was traffic going to her apartment and I called and left a message indicating that I would be late 5 minutes. I didn't think it would be a big deal since she had me waiting in the car 45 min. like last time...thinking she will go over her schedule anyway. Well right when I exit off the freeway, she left me a message saying that she can no longer take me in because she had a client right after me. Really?? So she canceled on me and she said that the next available time was on a Sunday...a day after my wedding!! WTF!?!?! That was a cold blooded thing she did to a bride. Luckily, I called someone else who came to the rescue. Thank goodness! This happened a year ago...and I still feel the same way. She was the only one that contributed to my UNhappy moments leading up to my wedding. Told my friends and family...they know to go elsewhere. read more

**HORRIBLE SERVICE** (If I could give no stars, I would) I made an appointment with Trang, back in July, for a full set of volume lashes. I had never had lashes before and from examples of her work, I was excited to give her business a try. The day she put the lashes, I noticed they were a little uncomfortable (ie: poking and itchy), but I didn't say anything; because, 1) I had never had lashes before, so I wasn't sure if this was normal, and 2) I thought maybe I needed to get used to them. Fast forward a week and a half and my eyes are swollen, bruised, and in pain. The eyelashes are pulling my real eyelashes and poking my eyelid. I tried to get in to see Trang, but she was out of town and said "she could maybe fit me in upon her return." Being out of town, I can understand there isn't much that can be done; however, the lack of urgency to get me in to fix the job she had done, made me really upset. Where is the integrity of your business and the care of your clientele? I, ultimately, had to visit another eyelash salon to have them removed. The technicians were appalled by the job that had been done. They said it didn't even look like a professional had done the job and couldn't believe it was Trang's work. The eyelashes were stuck together and clumped into bundles; which were too heavy for the natural lash they were applied too. The clumping and weight, combined, caused my natural lashes to pull and that's where the pain came from. So, I explained my concerns with Trang, via email. I addressed the issue and I even gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was just a bad day or an accident. I didn't want to assume that she just didn't know what she was doing. She emailed be back stating: "I was not having a "bad day" in any way when I met you to do your lashes. When you booked me as your stylist for your lash appointment, you were paying for my time and my services. If you were not happy with the product (lashes). " Trang believes that she deserves to be paid $180.00 for her time; but, cannot be held responsible for the service administered. So, if she does a horrible job on your lashes, it's your fault; because, you shouldn't have chosen her. I have NEVER run into a cosmetic, stylist or technician, that has refused to take responsibility or correct their work; if not to the client's satisfaction. Additionally, Trang practices out of her home. She is not licensed to practice business with the city of Irvine or the State of California. I would be extremely cautious before proceeding with her services. read more

I was getting my lashes done by Trang for 2 years. While she does do good work, she's rather moody and unreliable. Most of my spots would get cancelled or delayed by her . I originally lived nearby, but through the course of 2 years moved to San Diego and now temecula, which took 2 hours to get to. The last few appt. Trang was acting weird. I would get there 5 or 10 minutes before and she would tell me to wait in the car(?). There would be spots where she was super chatty and spots where she wouldn't say a word! You're kinda left at her mercy.. My last appt with trang I was about 15 mins late driving 2 hours , the treatment I got was pretty cold. I've always wanted to get eyelash extensions but I've also heard of the negatives to having them such as the eyelashes don't point the right way or it just annoys your eyes constantly. I decided to take the risk and do my research. Trangs touch was the one yelp listing that caught my eye and I'm very glad that it did. With all of the great reviews about her work, i booked an appointment right away. She is honestly the best around. My eyelashes stayed on for about a month and they never irritated my eyes, which was one thing I was really worried about since I wear contacts. Many people that get their lashes done at other places were told to stay away from water for at least 24 hours but with trangs touch I did not have to worry about that. I get so many compliments and people actually think my lashes are real! I rarely spend that much time applying eye makeup either because you don't really need it with these amazing lashes. Also, i have been going to her for months now and I recently got them done right before a vegas/edc trip and I thought that I would have to make a trip to trang to get them retouched after Vegas, but I actually waited a whole month to get them retouched, which was a big surprise. It just shows how amazing her work is. She also has a great personality and you won't be bored while getting your lashes done. She's easy to talk to and gives great advice. Hello beautiful yelpers! Happy day to you! I've been using Trang for my eyelashes since 2011. I have very scarce real lashes and my eyes slant down slightly. I absolutely love getting my lashes done. Trangs eyelashes make my eye's look larger and I get so many compliments from everyone about my lashes. It's funny.. because people ask me "what's different about you"? lol It's my lashes!!! . When I don't wear Trangs lashes my eyes appear small and even with mascara and eyeliner. I can't seem to achieve the same large eye/ dramatic eyelash look that Trang gives me and it looks completely natural. You can seriously go make-up free to the gym and still look amazing, because you have your bold and beautiful lashes. Most places eyelashes usually last 2- weeks, but Trangs lashes can last from 1 month- 1 1-2 months. Just take care of the them. I was reading some of the negative reviews and I'm honestly shocked. Ladies! don't expect to sleep on your face or mistreat your lashes and expect them to stay in position. That's what I think is happening with the other reviews. Trang is the BEST at what she does. I'm glad I found out and read a bunch of reviews before going to the right person =) Trang made my peach fuzz look...not so much like fuzz anymore! I am so happy with my long beautiful eyelashes. I don't have to worry about wearing so much eye makeup either because they stand out so well. They last a while too. Had mine on for about 4 months before I got them refilled again before Vegas. Trang's eyelash extensions are PERFECT. I have tried about 5 other "extension-ists" in the Orange County area and no one compares to Trang. Eyelash extensions by Trang stay looking perfect for at least 4 weeks and last up to 8 weeks still looking decent! NO ONE ELSE'S LAST THAT LONG. She applies them beautifully and listens to your directions (eg not too dramatic, more or less flare on the edge of the eye, etc), plus she is sweet and fun to talk to and you end up having a great time chatting as she works her magic. When I went to Trang, she said the previous lash girl used really long and thick lashes that my natural lashes can't handle. I have been trying to find a great place to get eyelash extensions after being disappointed at another location for eyelash extensions. After reading all the great reviews about Trang on Yelp, I decided to her a try. I booked my first appointment online and it was very easy to do. I was a little hesitant at first when I learned that she conducts her business at home, but because of all the great reviews, I felt that as long as the job is done right, I will be a happy camper. When I showed up at her house on the evening of my appointment, she was very pleasant and hospitable. I told her exactly how I wanted my eyelashes and she advised that she will do the best she could since I wanted them very full and long. The ambiance was very nice and relaxing, with the music and lighting. The atmosphere is as if you were in a room at a spa, not at a house. I fell asleep while she was applying the lashes, but I normally do when I get eyelash extensions or facials. When she was finished, she used a small fan to dry the glue. When I looked in the mirror she provided me, I was very pleased with the results. My eyelashes were full and long. It's been about two weeks now since my appointment with Trang, and only one, I repeat, one eyelash has fallen off. They are still as full as when I had my first appointment with her. Today was my first appointment with Trang. Yesterday I had a full set of lashes put on at a Queen Nails in Anaheim Hills (worst mistake ever!) I contacted her, told her my experience, and she said she could fix them. Well, she definitely delivered! I was told by the lady at the nail salon that because my lashes were so thin and short, I could never have the volumized look. I was disappointed at how the first set of lashes looked because they didn't really have that "wow factor". I've worn fake lashes for as long as I remember. I've heard people do eyelash extensions but was always hesitant because of the side effects it will do to my lashes. People would tell me, they're itchy, they'll make your natural lashes fall and they're uncomfortable. But despite of all the negative things I've heard, I tried it anyway. And I wasn't going to get them from someone random I find on YellowPages or Google. I asked my friend who's been getting them for at least 2 years and she recommended me to Trang. Didn't know what to expect but I know that my girlfriend's lashes were pretty and looked very natural. I set up an appointment with Trang and she was very accommodating. I called on Tuesday for a Friday appointment and she booked me right away. Love her!!! For the few times I've been going to her for refills, she's always been able to accommodate the time I call to schedule. Before she applied the lashes, she asks you how you want them to look and considers any preferences you may have. All she had to ask me was "Do you ever wear any falsies?" and she knew exactly how I want my lashes to look. They last for a long time and they don't itch at all! It takes a while to get used to but they definitely looked natural on me, my friends don't even notice until I tell them I have extensions. I can tell she uses high quality glue because I don't feel any stinging in my eye after it's finished or even when I'm in the shower or whenever I wash my face. I got eyelash extensions for the first time about three weeks ago. That day I got them done I had gone to some make up counters afterwards and received so many compliments on my lashes.
