This was my second visit to The Artistry and having the privilege of Priscilla doing my eyebrows! I went with the combo/microshading per Priscilla's suggestion after sending her a photo of my eyebrows beforehand. The studio is beautiful and smells amazing too. It has a very peaceful, comfortable atmosphere. Priscilla asked if I wanted anything different done this time as far as the style of my eyebrows and she took her time doing an outline before showing me in the mirror how they would look before the actual filling in began. I'm a very low-maintenance type of gal when it comes to makeup, etc., so I really put my trust in Priscilla to determine what looked good. To start off wanted to say that Elaine is amazing! I had a burn scar on my arm for about a year that was very dark and never seemed to go away. I had one session of scar camouflage with Elaine and still have one session left. The whole process was very easy, no pain at all with very easy to follow aftercare. I am amazed at the results after just one session, my scar that was very dark brown in color is now gone! you can barely see it and it blends in with the rest of my skin! I found this place through Yelp and decided to give it a try based on all the great reviews. I scheduled with Karyme and it was a great experience. She seemed to be super attuned to detail and had great communication. The other thing I liked was that the owner was there (at least I think it was the owner?) and it was a true apprenticeship in that she was frequently watching her work and giving corrections, like "no you do this, because of this," etc. I felt in really good hands with the whole business model and love that she is boots on the ground with her team, giving in real time feedback and training. The artistry must have not wanted my business this day. I was so excited to finally come here. I was able to snag an appt with Priscilla, who had nothing but amazing reviews everywhere online. The day finally came, and she called to push back my appt 30 mins. No worries, I get that appts can run behind. I had drove quite a bit to get there. I found the studio and parked my car. As I'm about to unbuckle my seatbelt, I get a text that she had to cancel my appt due to health issues with her dog. The tears started streaming down my face. I had finally put myself first, arranged childcare, budgeted for this, and was just so excited to be there. I don't know why it felt like a gut punch. Maybe because she told me 5 mins before my scheduled appointment? Maybe with the two reasons for the rescheduling it made it seem like she just had something better to do? Or maybe because they made me confirm my appt twice beforehand? The list goes on.... I immediately asked for a refund to be told "give me a day to do it". It was not until I protested that she was scrambling to refund me the money same day. As a former teacher and someone who works in customer service currently, it's no secret that life happens and sometimes we have to make hard choices. But to not have anyone be able to take over her appt and her doing the bare minimum to rectify the situation is absolutely absurd. She should have been doing everything in her power to keep me as a client (even if I didn't want to be-it's just what you do!!) Ok, I am overdue on leaving a review for this place. So I came across this place on Instagram and fell in love with Priscilla's work. I'm a fan of all things natural so I knew that at some point, I wanted to get my brows micro bladed here. Wowza!! I'm SO happy with my brows!! I've never done a thing to my eyebrows, except pluck them (I'm old ... school). I've been seeing beautiful coiffed brows (and some not so beautiful) online, tv, etc. for years, but always have been afraid to "go there", but I did.
