Then I went to ChatGPT and it pointed me to something that then led me to Modern Face Studio which I thought was ONLY an Alhambra location but was glad to discover she has a Mission Viejo/Lake Forest location! Then I went to look at her work thru her posts and, as expected, you'll get to see photos of newly done lips and they looked really natural and perfect color for the skin tone of each person. Next I needed to see if there were repeat customers so I went to her yelp for both locations and found people commenting they went back or couldn't trust anyone else. At this point I was sold to come develop a relationship with this studio and scheduled a lip blush straight away. I'm so glad I did. Tina is so warm and welcoming. She shares so much about the process with you which is clearly a sign of someone who has had a lot of people come thru and, to me, volume of customers = tons of experience! So the photos of her work looked good, she seemed really nice, but the icing on the cake was that as she's talking and touching things like a cabinet or a phone, she's changing out her gloves every single time. That level of awareness of how easily her hands can potentially carry germs to your face is commendable. Legit the kind of care I value and appreciate bc if she's THAT detail-oriented about germs on her gloves then she's most certainly detail-oriented about the work she's about to do - in my case, a lip blush. Super happy so far with the experience. She promised the lining part wouldn't hurt without numbing and she did not lie. She applies numbing for 20mins before she starts shading in your lips and throughout the process. I only felt it in the middle bottom lip once and she put numbing cream and I was back to not feeling a thing. I'm writing this only having had it done but so far I'm very happy with the overall experience and will post photos after it's fully healed. If you're considering her, just do it. I have finally found "THE ONE AND ONLY PMU Artist" I have been searching for! It only took EIGHT YEARS and THREE PRIOR PMU Artists, but my search has officially ended. The initial booking and consult was extremely fast and simple with no ridiculous booking fees and waivers to sign your life away. Her multiple locations definitely help with the scheduling as they are not too far from each other (She has both the east and west cities covered!). She is very practical with fair pricing that includes the first touch-up session and her business approach is humble with her years of experience. I've experienced that OTHERS sadly change as they become more sought after and their clientele expands. Tina is very welcoming, honest, extremely patient, precise and truly talented. Throughout the entire process I never felt rushed or afraid to ask for anything. She truly listens and works with you to give you the exact look you desire no matter how many little tweaks it takes! The pain is very minimal (more of a minor discomfort). The healing process was a complete surprise as it was the best I've experienced with minimal swelling & tenderness which went down significantly the next morning and was back to normal after 48 hours. Note: one of my sessions with a (PRIOR) PMU Artist had to stop prematurely with TWO follow-up sessions to finish & correct as their technique caused me to bleed heavily and become extremely swollen during the process! There was hardly any tightness or itching (Very very minimal for about a day or two towards the end of the week). Her after care instructions are exactly what to expect and she also checks in on you to make sure you are healing as expected.
