dragging the zucchini on the avocado toast breakfast plate
    Lil B.

I think they were really trying hard to do a good job today. They weren't ready for the amount of people that were in town for the weekend of special events around the university. This place is really popular for their champagne brunch. But for warned when this place gets busy, it is so loud you can't even hear yourself talk. The weight was about 30 to 45 minutes to get seated. We all thought our food was pretty good. Except I was disappointed that some of my zucchini on my avocado toast order was dragging from my plate. I didn't order extra dark toast either. My friend had to send back his coffee because it was lukewarm also. Again it was super busy so I'd like to say they were doing the best they could. Maybe next time we need to drink more champagne.

OK, first of all let me say this is only the second time that I've been to this place both times are pretty decent. Service was really good. Ambience was decent for that type of restaurant. Food was not bad. I really like the chicken fried chicken. Not a lot of places make it this way. It's usually chicken fried steak so this one was really better!! Potatoes were ok ! I think I'll do Ashly browns next time though!! Over all not bad! When I go back to. Chico I will try again to raise the stars!! If you out here check it out!!! I will put up picks to see what we had!!

We came for Sunday breakfast and had about a 10 minute wait. The interior is cute and clean. The service was great, they were quick and attentive. We ordered the Sausage Scramble and The Hangover and both were delicious. I especially enjoyed the Country Potatoes. We will be back! (Both breakfasts included Cheese which we did without)

First Nash's is a Chico Icon! Their champagne brunch was of legends, everywhere in Chico has scaled back on free-flowing bubbles. Secondly, we were a party of 19 to celebrate my nieces birthday. We made reservations so they knew we were coming. However, it took 45 minutes for them to take our food order. The drink girl was awesome & she pretty much stayed on top of it. Food took about 30 minutes to come out, not unreasonable with a large party. The hostesses brought the food out together when it was ready. One downside is those who ordered eggs benedict mostly had hard centers vs true poached. Only one out of 5 orders was perfect. Overall. 5 for refreshment server 5 beautiful patio 3 food 1 time waited to order 1 parking

Reuben thin sliced meat and small portion

This is a wonderful building and it has a nice spacious, openness and cleanliness. The staff were very efficient, however not overly pleasant. We ordered two dishes. One was the Reuben with the side salad? Both were very unremarkable. The Reuben came with 3 ultra thin deli, sliced pastrami, ther was no real sauerkraut to speak of, and the bread was burnt. It was very obvious the bread was burnt when it was served to me, and there was no effort to fix the burnt crust. The other dish was a special, called angel hair pasta, which came in a very small bowl Was completely dry except for the grease at the bottom of the bowl. I guess that's enough said about all that.

First off, this restaurant is huge. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We came on a Sunday morning and we didn't have to wait. The service was great. Each server that came to our table was very personable. The food was delicious and they served huge portions. The house potato's and hashbrowns are super crispy. I would recommend the chicken and waffles. If you want more veggies, my friend really enjoyed the garden burrito.

The most unique country potatoes I've ever had! I believe they're bartered, crispy in the outside and soft in the inside, I'm a fan of potatoes, so these were my favorite. Everything else was very tasty too, I really liked the Chicken Fried Chicken and the Carnitas Benedicts. I honestly didn't think the Benedicts would be good with carnitas but my son shared and I was wrong, I'm glad I got to try them. The service was pretty fast and friendly. The place seems very popular around the area, there were people waiting in line by the time we were leaving. The inside of the place felt very cozy with those cabin vibes, I had a lovely experience dining here.

My 2 slices of bacon( missing the 3rd) cooked less than what I like.

Worst experience yet at Nash's. Started off asking for 2 ice teas with no lemon, we got lemon. Then I ordered French toast and a side of bacon and a side of potatoes with no green onions. The potatoes had lots of green onions on them. The bacon came out barely cooked (and only 2 slices, when I paid for 3) then when I asked if I could get bacon a little more cooked it came out burnt. My French toast was soggy like they forgot to cook the other side. When they came back to the table I explained it she said "oh let me get that out your way" and took my plate. Then they dropped the bill off with the full price of French toast on it. Then went to the register. I explained to the girl and she said "I'll talk to the cooks" and ran my card for the full price of the meal. The meal I couldn't eat. This has been our usual spot for the last several years, but the last 6 months or so it has started going down hill. So sad.

First time there and wish I lived closer. Got the chicken fried chicken and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Almost the best part when I ordered my hash browns burnt they came out a perfect golden brown. The gravy was excellent and house hot sauce had great flavor. Will definitely make an appetizer excuse to come up this way again to try something different

Just ate here today! The food was excellent! We informed our waitress we were ready to order and she didn't take our order for like, another 30 minutes past that. It was getting a little awkward but we just didn't make a big deal about it. The ambiance of this place is literally the BEST!!! Love the vibe!

    Smoked Salmon Salad

Disappointed with the Valentine's service at Nash's tonight. My friends and I (party of six) had a 7:15 reservation. After being seated, our server took our drink orders and quickly returned to ask if we were ready to order food. When we asked for more time, she came back within minutes to take our orders. When we mentioned we'd be paying separately, she rudely told us they couldn't split payments that way. Even when we suggested splitting into two groups (two people together, four separately), she refused and spoke to us as if we were unreasonable for even asking. I ended up covering the bill, and when our food arrived 30 minutes later, three of my friends who ordered the smoked salmon salad said it tasted awful, which was disappointing given the price. Then, when we received the check, it was $202--much higher than expected. A few minutes later, the server returned, admitting she had miscalculated the gratuity, and the actual total was $160. The way this was handled was completely unprofessional. It was also never mentioned at the time of booking that separate payments wouldn't be allowed. Nash's, please train your staff better. And Emille, I hope you work on your service.

Does anyone know the name of the red sauce that comes in the squirt bottle on the tables? I saw the actual container it comes in once when I was there, but I forgot the name.

The pepper plant, they sell it at s&s or amazon

Service was fantastic, staff was incredibly friendly and brought our drinks to us outside. I had meant for this to be a pit stop for coffee but the outdoor patio was so nice, we ended up sitting in the shade with the pups and taking our time before our looong drive back to SoCal. Black coffee. The beans were from Kenya, which is not my partner's bean country of choice but he said the coffee was good anyway. Oat milk latte. My incredibly particular mom said this was the best latte she's ever had. Dad and I were shook. Iced cinnabon oat milk latte. Surprisingly balanced. Cinnamon forward, which I like, but not overbearing. Lighter on the maple flavor, which I'm grateful for, as maple can get real heavy, real quick for me. Carrot zucchini bread. This was slightly flour-y to my palette, but overall, not bad. Moist, and not too sweet.

Might be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues, though. It seems to be a popular spot with both young and old patrons. There's an area at the back with what looked like art supplies and things to keep folks entertained. Parking is semi-tight right outside but it's doable even with a midsize SUV. I got there around noon on a Wednesday and it was a little busy but I was the only one in line for about 5 minutes before I ordered and while I ordered. It took a little longer than I expected to get the wrap I ordered, but I didn't mind. The Smokin' Veggie wrap was VERY good, especially when I added some hot sauce (they have several options by the water station at the back)! And it was a great portion, too! I only ate half there and ate the other half later for a late lunch part 2. I had hoped to get a pastry, but I was a bit disappointed with the pastry selection -- it seemed to mostly be muffins and croissants from Costco and Safeway or something. I didn't get a drink this time, but maybe next time. But the wrap was delish! Thanks!

I scoured the menu and was excited to find so many hash choices. I was moved by the Irish Burrito, but ordered Linda's omelette; while my daughter went with the eggs Benedict. In a town that takes its breakfast seriously, and where I've probably worked my way through more menus and reviews than I should admit, this one quietly climbed right to the top of my list. My omelette was exactly what you want when you order one. Fluffy without being dry, full of flavor without trying too hard, and cooked like someone in the kitchen actually cares about eggs. The ingredients were balanced and fresh, not just thrown together as filler. The hollandaise sauce was original, I couldn't find a lemon, cheese or any other overwhelming base, it stood out. The hash was perfect. My daughter's eggs Benedict looked like a postcard version of what that dish should be. Perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise that didn't feel heavy, and ham that actually tasted like ham instead of just salt delivery. One of those plates where you steal a bite "just to try it" and immediately understand the decision. The real surprise for me was the potato pancake I picked instead of the usual hashbrowns. Light, airy inside, crispy outside, and seasoned just right. Honestly one of the better breakfast potatoes I've had anywhere. If potatoes had a hall of fame, this one would at least get a nomination. The place itself has a warm, comfortable feel. Wood tones, rooster themes everywhere, a relaxed local energy where people look like regulars and first-timers feel welcome anyway. Service was friendly and efficient without feeling rushed. In a city full of strong breakfast spots, this might actually be my current favorite. That's not something I say lightly.
