I've biked to Nami more than once for a pick-me-up on a hot day and, when we had dinner at Green, it felt like a missed opportunity if we didn't grab a tsoynami, too! You really can't go wrong with any of their flavors and they're always coming out with new ones; but my absolute favorite is their butterfinger-inspired mix. The soft serve isn't too sweet, the mix-ins are the perfect amount, and it just satisfies a deep part of my soul. Ugh, sublime. I stumbled across this place via the Internet because of a desperation for a vegan breakfast which is not as easy as it sounds to find. A lot of vegan breakfast type places are sit down restaurants. I just wanted to grab some food and go back to my place. Believe me, it's easier said than done. I gave them a call and let them know I wanted two Basic B Burritos, and they quoted me 15 minutes for pickup, which was perfect driving distance/time for me. I arrived and the place was empty except for one family outside on the patio. It was also early in the morning, so I wasn't surprised. My burritos were piping hot, freshly made and I was very excited to dig into one. I also got an iced coffee with soy milk to go and I am very very picky about my iced coffee. I like it strong but smooth, I don't want to feel like I'm drinking watered-down coffee. This coffee hit the spot, it was strong, smooth, it was rich and I enjoyed every sip of it. When I got home I broke into one of the burritos instantly loved the toasted softness of the tortilla. The inside was loaded with the most flavorful, well seasoned tofu scramble and soft scrumptious potatoes. It also had melted vegan cheese which again, I'm not a fan of vegan cheese but it was a perfect combination. I was absolutely stuffed after eating half of this burrito. I don't make it to midtown much anymore but we were in the neighborhood and thought we'd stop into Nami for a treat. The vegan desert and coffee bar counterpart to Green never disappoints. When we arrived the "ice cream" wasn't working so we perused the bakery case. There was an oatmeal cream pie that looked pretty amazing. Then the ice cream started working so we got a s'mores tsoynami. It was amazing--marshmallow, crumbly chunks of gram cracker, chocolate syrup. I appreciate there is indoor and outdoor seating and the baristas are masked. Parking is a bit of a pain--the driveways are one way but people aren't real great about noticing that. read more

There's something about anywhere on the west side of the states that just puts me in a good, vibeful mood. I visited Nami during a quick layover in Phoenix and enjoyed every bite of my meal! I had my eye on Nami for a few weeks while mapping out what I would do during my time and after reading the amazing reviews, this is where I would spend my time. I ordered the country breakfast burrito and a side of the wings because I just had to try those too. The employee was like "Do you want them in the burrito" and I'm like helllss yea! He completely read my mind cuz I was quite indecisive and couldn't decide between the country breakfast burrito and the wings ding dang burrito, so yes, throw them in the burrito! And my, was that the one of the best meal decisions I had ever made (thanks to the employee) because that burrito was BOMB! It was ~$10 + ~$4 for the wings, but it was so worth it and absolutely filling! I noticed the food was coming from the restaurant next door, Greens, so I wonder if they're partnered. My time was way too short in Phoenix, but coming back is a must and Nami will definitely be on my restaurant list cuz now I have to try these pastries and soft serve that I've read so much about! read more

Ok, I have to start off by saying that I really really wanted to like this place when I went in. It's adorable and awesome for people with dietary restrictions or even just dietary preferences. I went in on a Saturday around 1:00 pm and was thankfully able to snag a parking spot in the back lot. However, it looked like everything else was taken so be aware of possible parking issues when you drop by! I was more in a coffee mood than a tsoynami mood so I went with the caramel mockiato. It was a bit pricey, rounding up to about ~$6.00. Unfortunately, the taste did not justify the price in this case. I've had vegan desserts/coffees at other establishments and have never had such a disappointing experience. My friend ordered a tea which was fine but once again the price was a bit high for the actual flavor and taste. The pastries and cakes seemed a bit dry so we decided not to try them, but maybe the tsoynamis are much better than the coffee that they offer. They raved about the Street Burger Sliders, the couscous salad, rich dips with braised carrots and veggies, BBQ wing skewers, and more. The funniest part of the event was that no one even knew or could tell that the meal and desserts were plant based. People had no idea that plant based could taste so good!
