I've biked to Nami more than once for a pick-me-up on a hot day and, when we had dinner at Green, it felt like a missed opportunity if we didn't grab a tsoynami, too! You really can't go wrong with any of their flavors and they're always coming out with new ones; but my absolute favorite is their butterfinger-inspired mix. The soft serve isn't too sweet, the mix-ins are the perfect amount, and it just satisfies a deep part of my soul. Ugh, sublime. I don't make it to midtown much anymore but we were in the neighborhood and thought we'd stop into Nami for a treat. The vegan desert and coffee bar counterpart to Green never disappoints. When we arrived the "ice cream" wasn't working so we perused the bakery case. There was an oatmeal cream pie that looked pretty amazing. Then the ice cream started working so we got a s'mores tsoynami. It was amazing--marshmallow, crumbly chunks of gram cracker, chocolate syrup. I appreciate there is indoor and outdoor seating and the baristas are masked. Parking is a bit of a pain--the driveways are one way but people aren't real great about noticing that. read more

I had Nami and Green cater my brother's 60th birthday. My guests were blown away by the food! They raved about the Street Burger Sliders, the couscous salad, rich dips with braised carrots and veggies, BBQ wing skewers, and more. My guests really freaked out over the moist and scrumptious cake and mini cupcakes! Everyone loved had seconds and some people absconded with cupcakes for later! The funniest part of the event was that no one even knew or could tell that the meal and desserts were plant based. People had no idea that plant based could taste so good! It was fun to tell my guests after they indulged in this amazing meal, and hear their surprise at learning the meal was plant based! The service was super. They were on time, they set everything up, provided instructions on keeping food warm, left us ample plates napkins and cutlery, and were so courteous and nice. Nami and Green made it so easy! There's something about anywhere on the west side of the states that just puts me in a good, vibeful mood. I visited Nami during a quick layover in Phoenix and enjoyed every bite of my meal! I had my eye on Nami for a few weeks while mapping out what I would do during my time and after reading the amazing reviews, this is where I would spend my time. I ordered the country breakfast burrito and a side of the wings because I just had to try those too. The employee was like "Do you want them in the burrito" and I'm like helllss yea! He completely read my mind cuz I was quite indecisive and couldn't decide between the country breakfast burrito and the wings ding dang burrito, so yes, throw them in the burrito! And my, was that the one of the best meal decisions I had ever made (thanks to the employee) because that burrito was BOMB! It was ~$10 + ~$4 for the wings, but it was so worth it and absolutely filling! I noticed the food was coming from the restaurant next door, Greens, so I wonder if they're partnered. My time was way too short in Phoenix, but coming back is a must and Nami will definitely be on my restaurant list cuz now I have to try these pastries and soft serve that I've read so much about! read more

Ok, I have to start off by saying that I really really wanted to like this place when I went in. It's adorable and awesome for people with dietary restrictions or even just dietary preferences. I went in on a Saturday around 1:00 pm and was thankfully able to snag a parking spot in the back lot. However, it looked like everything else was taken so be aware of possible parking issues when you drop by! I was more in a coffee mood than a tsoynami mood so I went with the caramel mockiato. It was a bit pricey, rounding up to about ~$6.00. Unfortunately, the taste did not justify the price in this case. I've had vegan desserts/coffees at other establishments and have never had such a disappointing experience. My friend ordered a tea which was fine but once again the price was a bit high for the actual flavor and taste. The pastries and cakes seemed a bit dry so we decided not to try them, but maybe the tsoynamis are much better than the coffee that they offer. I'd like to start by saying I have been going to Nami since they opened at least 10 yrs ago. So I feel qualified to give a fair and honest review. i struggled between 1 or 2 stars and settled on 2 due to my long history with Nami. I have no specific complaints about the staff or Service, my BIG complaint is about prices vs portion size. I understand the impact of inflation but that needs to cease being an excuse. I will use for example their "Clunky Monkey" frozen yogurt desert, one of my favorites. It now costs double what it originally sold for. I might understand that, as everything has gone up. But.... the serving size has been reduced by at least half It's original size. So, in effect Nami is charging 4X now for the same ClunkyMonkey. I can tell you bananas, pecans, yogurt have not gone up 4x in price. In fact the last Monkey I bought about a week ago ( and it will be my last), the "small" cup was not even full of yogurt, it was probably 60% full. I finally felt I must leave a review since I need to take a position on price gouging , not only with Nami but others as well. $7+ for a small, partially full cup of frozen yogurt with a few slices of banana and 5-6 pecan halves is it for me. I love Clunky Monkeys on a hot Phoenix day but when you feel you are being taken advantage of, they don't taste as good any more. read more

Nami has been one of my all time favorite ice cream places in Phoenix. I love that they are dairy free! They have tons of combos to choose from but I love building my own. I always get the vanilla base (better than chocolate) with banana, peanut butter, and coffee grounds or pecans. I highly recommend. It's in a cute area and they have lots of other food options as well. Parking is kinda crazy but they have a dirt lot that can be used if the behind the store parking is full. tasteless vegan ice cream and horrible coffee. i only found out about nami because i fell in love with the CCL at Cartel. they use nami's coconut caramel and Cartel's coffee is delicious so i thought nami would be the same, but it wasn't. i tried the ice cream one night with my boyfriend and we couldn't even take one more bite after our first. it was flavorless and disappointing. i tried the coffee another night, while on my way out of PHX, and it was the saddest cup i've ever had. the staff is weird, behind the counter looks disgusting due to the mess each ice cream order creates, and the shop is extremely small. overall, not worth a visit. would not recommend. you would find tastier vegan ice cream in a freezer at target or sprouts. read more

My family surprised me with the most adorable vegan/gluten free cake (Strawberry Blonde flavor) for my birthday. The order was placed online and the website made the process a breeze. The cake was moist and not overly dense... which can be a problem with GF cakes.The frosting (on the sweeter side) was speckled with strawberry pieces which gave the cake a gorgeous color. The service my son received, upon pick up, was excellent (even walked the cake to the car because he was on crutches). This ended up being one of the best GF Vegan cakes we have had in Arizona. The tSoynamis are life-changing!! I'm not vegan, but I would choose these over an ice cream / dairy-based dessert any day. They're super refreshing and the flavor combinations I've tried so far- Rocky Road, Fruity (with frozen mangos, peaches, & strawberries), and Chai Tiramisu- have been spot-on. My mom got the Donatello with chocolate. The portions were pretty big so I ended up bringing some home. I'm not an expert on vegan ice cream but I found the consistency to be delicious and light. Would return for a cold treat in this heat! I originally gave the ice cream 4 stars but added a star because the staff cared about wearing masks and were thoughtful to ask how to pronounce my name instead of butchering it.
