I received my donuts right away and sat down to wait for my coffee and burrito. I finished my donut, and the burrito arrived shortly after. As I got halfway through my burrito, I noticed that two customers who arrived after me had already received their coffees. I walked up to the register to ask about mine. Instead of an apology, I was told, "We're working on it," as the staff searched for my receipt. Honestly, a simple "We forgot" would have been more respectful than pretending otherwise. It's a small location that's a bit tricky to find on a busy road, but there is some parking behind it. They have indoor bench and table seating, as well as a small front and back patio. Staff is so incredibly nice - they made polite conversation about my travel plans, and had no problem with me posting up in a corner to read for a bit. Staff had a pumpkin decorating contest going on while I was there, so it seems like a good place to work. I ordered a coffee and the big ole breakfast burrito and really enjoyed it. I also got a tSoynami (had to, right? It's their thing!). It's basically a vegan soft serve version of a DQ Blizzard. I might get a different flavor next time, as it was just okay to me - the textures were a bit odd. But I was not able to finish it so props for it being a large amount of vegan ice cream. Vegan food never tasted so good - A meat eater. I ordered the Country Breakfast Burrito and it was filled with so much flavor from the peppers, onion, potatoes etc. it was soooo delicious! The hot sauce that comes with it is also perfect, very flavorful and definitely a kick to go with the burrito. So glad it didn't taste like water like other places that offer salsa/sauce to go with. Best part - my stomach didn't hurt after the filling/hearty breakfast (: I also ordered 2 donuts to go as well, I will update my review after they've been consumed but they look very promising! The staff I encountered was friendly and I had no issues ordering. There is seating both inside and outside of Nami. There is a beautiful mural on the building as pictured you can see when sitting outside. Being that it is Phx, the entrance to get to Nami can be tight and easy to miss if you don't pay attention to the turn into the restaurant. (From February, 2022) So after eating at the GNAV next door, my sweet tooth kicked in and YELP brought me here. Being on a vegetarian diet at the time, I realized that this is vegan sweets which fit my diet to perfection. I don't know how but no questions asked. Coffee, vegan pastries, and vegan soft-serve is available here. After some back and forth, I decided on a hot green latte and the Donatello soft serve. The latte had great consistency and I appreciate their almond milk option for the base. The Donatello contained house made caramel, pecans, chocolate chips, and organic chocolate syrup (according to description) and it was one of the best soft-serve desserts I've had. All the ingredients mentioned were vegan, organic, and gluten-free. How you can make a delicious soft-serve dessert like that, I have no clue. But I'm happy to indulge in it! On a recent trip to Phoenix, Nami was my family's go-to. It's a small, counter-style joint with indoor and outdoor seating. It has plenty of parking in the back. We came for breakfast two days in a row and it was consistently busy but the lines weren't unmanageable. I loved the Caramel Mockiato because the sweetness was just right. First day I had the Big Ole' Breakfast Burrito and it was hearty--gave me the energy to hike Saguaro. On day two I had the McBagel Sandwich, which was delightful. The sprouted bagel was nice and fluffy and the sandwich felt like an indulgence without leaving me feeling gross. We came back for the tSoynami later that evening and I got the Donatello. It was a nice break from the heat to enjoy this cool treat. The workers were friendly and helpful. It was really hard to choose since the menu is really big! They are located about 10 minutes from my favorite coffee shop in Midtown. The best guilt-free "nice" cream in the valley, hands down. My personal favorite tsoynamis are the banana cream pie and soy capitan. The boyf loves that everything is really clearly marked gluten free, and that they have so many different options. I'm also very partial to the cactus haboob (coffee). It tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch but not overwhelmingly sweet. The one downside to Nami? The parking lot is awful. Very few spots, super cramped, and right off the main road so there are always angry cars whizzing by. It's worth it, but it'll definitely test your patience if you go during peak hours. read more
