I had specifically chosen to not use gel polish the last pedicure as I do not like the Dremel tool being used on my nails. The technician began using the Dremel tool to remove the polish. I asked her not to, and she continued removing the polish with the Dremel telling me that's the way she does it. She barely trimmed my nails and did not use the loofa on my feet and heals at all. She didn't even put lotion on my feet or legs. She painted my nails and went on to work on the walk in. I have done 3 pedicures at this place, and this one was very unprofessional and has me truly thinking of going to another salon.

Don't come often anymore, but I needed a treat- it was lacking this time. I had a $45 pedi and a natural manicure. She didn't have much strength in her hands though the heated rock massage was relaxing. She hurt my toes several times. I showed her which nail I wanted the rest of my nails to look like. She asked if I wanted them all as short as the one I'd broken. I said no not that short. She had me sit on the side of the pedi chair even though there were 4 open mani stations open, to file my nails. After my first hand I said it was uncomfortable couldn't we move to an actual station. She did move me then. I pointed out that the shape of my nails were not as requested she redid my first hand but, they then ended up a lot shorter than I asked for. I wanted a light pink for my hands, she had trouble finding something not too bright. I had her put a combination of colors on me, thinking the lighter of the two as a top coat would calm the color down. It wasn't ideal, but it was what they had. The brighter color must have been older as it was very thick. It's taken all afternoon to really dry and it bubbled up on the outside of my thumb. The inside of my pointer looked like something had gotten in the polish. Vin said I must've touched it. Not sure how that would have happened but he did smooth it. I know everyone has to start somewhere and I applaud 777 for doing training but, there should be over site. As usual, everything was clean and no strong smells were evident.

The second appt, she texted an hour before I was ready to leave to say she had a family emergency. Not a problem, as I more than understand family issues. The next appt she said she didn't think I needed a color, and said I should wait. I really wanted a fresh color, but figured she is the expert. 8 weeks later I am driving to my appt, and she calls to say she sprang a finger, and the Dr told her she wasn't allowed to cut hair. She rescheduled me for the following week. Again, I am almost to the salon, and called to let her know I would be a few minutes late. She asked me if I had gotten her text that morning? She stated she had texted to cancel, as her daughter had a Dr appt. When I checked, she had texted me at 12:15, as I was leaving, not that morning. I was starting to feel upset, and asked her when could she do my hair? She said she couldn't fit me in for another month! I even asked, since she canceled me, couldn't she fit me in sometime earlier? Nope, she's totally booked! I would have given a 4 star rating (as the color is awesome,, but the haircuts were nothing exceptional). I gave her a 2 as her time management is horrible for a business owner. My time is valuable too, and to cancel 3 times, an hour before my appt, is very rude, and not professional. I always tip about 30%, as I want my stylist to know I appreciate all they do, but I don't appreciate being Jerked around. I will be looking elsewhere. Thank you for listening.

There was only 1 review for this and it was for the salon portion... I was looking for nail services. My daughter attends MLHS, we've only officially moved into area less than 2 weeks and she's only been attending the HS for less than a month. She has a winter dance today, so I get on yelp earlier this week to find a nail shop. This place popped up and I messaged (after hours and I believe after 9pm, to inquire about nail services) I got a response same evening (I didn't check it til the next day, but still, it was there waiting for me) and referred me directly to the nail tech Christy. I texted her and she responded back and I was able to secure appt for today (MLHS winter dance day! Woot woot). Her nails look great for tonight! The take away from this is... 1) Quick response even after hours, which kept me going. 2) Christy's customer service and kindness (should be my #1, but trying to capture experience from beginning to end) 3) Being engaged with customers...I went there for my daughter...*remember I said I was new to area. I asked about oil changes. She mentioned Grease Monkey and her experience...I read the reviews last week on them, but with her sharing her short experience with them...I went there. When I first moved to the area, my nails were a mess after years of wearing acrylic nails. Candi worked her magic, and within just a few appointments, my natural nails were healthy and growing. She then started to do gel manicures on me (no drill) and I have the most beautiful set of natural nails (no extensions needed) now. (I can go three weeks between manicures!) Strong and healthy! Candi uses only the best, high-quality products, has a great selection of colors and is amazing at custom work/designs. The salon is always sparkling clean and is an absolute joy to visit. As a runner, I also treat myself to pedicures about 1 every 2 months. They use natural essences in the beautiful brass tubs that smell amazing. I literally feel like I am walking on air when I'm done. I encourage you to ditch wherever you are going now and give Let's Talk Nails a try.
