I got in the same week I called for a natural manicure & Pedi. That was great!…read moreSeems like I got a new nail groomer, as in newly trained. Not had that happen here before. Don't come often anymore, but I needed a treat- it was lacking this time. I had a $45 pedi and a natural manicure. She didn't have much strength in her hands though the heated rock massage was relaxing. She hurt my toes several times. I showed her which nail I wanted the rest of my nails to look like. She asked if I wanted them all as short as the one I'd broken. I said no not that short. She had me sit on the side of the pedi chair even though there were 4 open mani stations open, to file my nails. After my first hand I said it was uncomfortable couldn't we move to an actual station. She did move me then. I pointed out that the shape of my nails were not as requested she redid my first hand but, they then ended up a lot shorter than I asked for. I wanted a light pink for my hands, she had trouble finding something not too bright. I had her put a combination of colors on me, thinking the lighter of the two as a top coat would calm the color down. It wasn't ideal, but it was what they had. The brighter color must have been older as it was very thick. It's taken all afternoon to really dry and it bubbled up on the outside of my thumb. The inside of my pointer looked like something had gotten in the polish. Vin said I must've touched it. Not sure how that would have happened but he did smooth it. I know everyone has to start somewhere and I applaud 777 for doing training but, there should be over site. As usual, everything was clean and no strong smells were evident.

Pros: very friendly owners and staff, and they will work hard to fit everyone into the schedule…read morewhile still providing attention to detail without skipping steps Cons: not a clean facility, half the tools are clearly sanitized, other half don't look like they're fresh, unused tools (some should have been single use) and just looking around, you can tell it's an older building that just needs a face lift and deep clean. Also, though it's nice that they try to fit everyone in, they stretch themselves out way too thin, I was lucky I was getting a pedicure and at least had a massage chair and foot soak. They also charged extra to shape the acrylic nails. The acrylic nails were a little thicker then most other shops I've been too, already looked a little grown out because she didn't put the acrylics all the way down the nail, and could have been shaped better (especially for an extra fee), and there was some gel polish residue around my nails which is easy to spot since gel polish is really hard to get off. The pedicure was great though. Unrelated to how the business is run, the regulars were super rude, literally pulled their chair up arm to arm next to my chair (to the point that if she moved, my chair moved with hers which was really irritating), started chatting with the nail technician like she was in the manicure chair, completely ignored my presence even though the technician was clearly annoyed by it, and even insulted my nail color as she was painting my nails. There were a few rude regulars in who acted like that and it was just really irritating, but again, nothing to do with how the owners run the business, just something about the experience that I really didn't like. I won't be back, I've been to other places near by that I felt were a little cleaner and gave me a more quality manicure. But the owners are super sweet and they definitely deserve recognition for how hard they work and how kind they all are. Even though they were drowning in customers, they were so sweet and kind, and worked their butts off to get everyone proper service in a timely manner

My best friend treated me to a pedicure for a "self-care" day. We were happy because we didn't have an appointment and they were able to get us right in. I believe it was Elaine who helped us. My first impression was that the cleanliness was subpar. The foot tubs didn't appear washed, and the shop was dusty and unorganized. Everything seemed to have a layer of scum, like nothing has been wiped down in quite some time. I'm not a salon girlie, but the quality of work was underwhelming. She didn't seem to take any pride in the work she was doing and was more interested in making conversation than doing the job. The polish was painted onto every cuticle and half of my friend's big toe was unpainted. Then after waiting for my toes to dry for over an hour (plus several hours wearing sandals at home) my polish smudged. Also, she clipped our toenails but didn't file them - I had an uncut nail that snagged and ripped off the nail and polish. Elaine told us at the beginning that they didn't take card, but they have an ATM in the building. After our pedicures were complete, she said their building's ATM has been acting up so we might have to walk across and use David's Pizza's ATM. Turned out that the ATM in the building didn't work, so my friend had to walk back to the salon to get her coat and walk across the street just to pay for the poor-quality pedicures. With today's technology, it seems like they should make it more convenient for customers to pay. I'm a small business supporter, but the lack of quality control is concerning. The location of this salon is beautiful and historic and could be so so sooo much better.
